Has anyone else wondered about the significance of Lori wanting a speedy trial while Chad waived his right to a speedy one? I'm sure the attorneys have a large part in that decision. I've heard Kolby say that Lori seemed to be protective of Chad, as though he is so important she protects him. I wonder if her trial came first as a sort of precursor or sneak peek at the evidence against them and how a jury would see it all. Wouldn't Chad have a bit of an advantage by seeing her go first?
I wondered this as well!! She wouldn't waive her right to a speedy trial and his lawyer is sitting in the audience taking notes for his trial! My opinion is she still believes her kids we zombies and they did a mercy killing. She's acting like she's being persecuted for her religious beliefs! It's disgusting. I hope reality sets in for her some day
Charles Manson also wanted to hurry along the end of times because he too believed he was spiritually tapped to lead the 144,000 and he too urged his followers to murder. If Manson had some other hidden motive isn't known but in this defendant's case the clear motive was greed. The rest is her justification for murder in order to achieve that motive. If this woman had remained free no doubt she would have soon equalled or surpassed the number of Manson Family murders. I hope she is never again free.
I had to stop listening to the testimony Wednesday night…… I took my headphones off and threw them across the room, and I cried for an hour, and had to go for a walk. Gruesome and inhumane are words that don’t even describe this… I wish had Oprah money… And I could take every first responder, every detective and police officer and juror and firemen, and grieving family members and everyone else to my private tropical island, and treat them to six months of psychological treatment and enjoyment with their families……. I wish I could help all of them.
I could turn it off and walk away?? But they sure can’t. I feel terrible for them. I wish I could do everything for all of them. I wish I could help beyond measure.

Alex and Lori's relationship was not "bizarre." It was straight-out incestuous. This is such a prudish world we live in, that that word cannot be spoken.

The religious beliefs have nothing to do with the motivations for the murders. These “beliefs” were just Lori’s and Chad’s way of finding something to justify the murders so they could have sex, money and power. Alex was manipulated by Lori to be the main killer (and eventually the fall guy). Lori is guilty of all charges. Chad is in just as deep as Lori.
One point: Alex had a brain injury as a child and was described as having been stuck at age 16 after that. He was easily manipulated and Lori took full advantage of that, calling Alex “my defender”. I understand that, as a girl, Lori always got her way.
Sadly, their made up religion was definitely a part of this sad mess.

They did not have any idea that they were going to kill anyone I’m sure. They were just caught up in Chad’s and Lori’s lies. Also I think when the kids went missing Melanie started distancing herself from Lori. She didn’t like it when Lori told cops JJ was with her. Some of those Mormons have a Pollyanna complex. They just don’t think of horrible things are commonplace such as murder. Their communities are somewhat sheltered. I am not Mormon btw, however I have known a few and they just don’t live like we do where we are constantly entrenched in crime stories. They are not.

I had a dream last night..I saw the children with Alex in Colorado standing next to the hot springs. ...and, Alex was going to throw them both into the hot springs..but, there were too many people around..so he pretended to continue the vacation with them and then he and Lori and Chad discussed other ways to get rid of them, thus, they ended up in Chad's pet cemetery. A very scary dream, a nightmare.

She had Alex to take him away OF COURSE but i honestly believe she hurt that babyboy all by herself!! I think Chad killed Tylee and she fought back and he enjoyed doing what he did to that precious girl. He had planned on digging those graves where he did because he thought he was an expert sexton. I have a different take. I think Lori "ordered" the "hits" on her children. She told Alex and Chad "I don't want to know how you do it, but get rid of them." She was the "Godmother" of the situation, ordering them to do her bidding so that she would have "clean hands." And they complied, because they were both weak-minded criminals. Melanie Gibb is another weak person who believed Lori's cockamamie stories about demons and zombies, and saw a lot of immoral/unethical things going on, but did nothing, just followed along as the story got darker and darker. She's going to have to live with this for the rest of her life. Everyone close to them who saw Chad and Lori breaking up families and making people disappear is culpable.

So she crossed the world with Lori to recruit people and she wasn't that conviced about their believes? Of course she was, more than anyone as much as Alex. The breaking point for Alex was the same breaking point for her; the perspective to ended up in jail for plotting/murdering the children.

My theory is after listening to the audio of Adam Cox and the officer regarding Charles murder Tylee seen a lot more than she was led onto believe. I believe she did see Alex and Lori murder Charles and therefore Lori had to get rid of her and I believe they got rid of JJ because Tylee was his hands-on caregiver so there is more to the story just listening to the audio several years back when Adam was
revealing a lot to the officer Again I do believe that Tylee walked in as they murdered Charles and she knew a lot more than what was being laid on listened to the videos from two or three years back when Tylee responded to her mother Lori who me a zombie…..Tylee had to be silenced.

He provided a great life style for them. Lori, was beyond cruel. She called him an evil person, and Charles didn't live in his body any more. That is cruel as well.

Prosecutor's opening statement it's a failure (in my opinion), like tabloid headlines. I can't vouch for myself if I hear that trembling voice repeating "money, power, sex" one more time. Objectively (not emotionally subjectively), judging everything that has been presented by the prosecutor's office so far, unfortunately, raises concerns. I'm not convinced that the conspiracy in the murders is fully revealed. Certainly , it was possible to prove the affair of the two accused, ehem... what a wonderful mother she was (I think everyone was talking about you all the time) before she met Chad . Also, the included plot of Charles' death raises great suspicions about Lori Vallow. But Charles deserves a separate trial, and one would think the jury might be prejudiced against the defendant as well as shocked by her "beliefs." I guess she still thinks it's all true. Shock, but how to assess her ability to perceive reality and behavior in general. Because a child knows what is good and what is bad in this dual world, but how to judge someone who may actually think that he is "saving" someone, and in the normal / real reception of others he does evil
