In one Death Star scene, three stormtroopers enter...
...and the clumsy one (far right) bangs his head on the doorframe.
Not only was the shot left in the movie...
George Lucas even added a sound effect later.
Lucas also referenced the goof in the prequel "Attack of the Clones"...
(in which we learn that the original stormtroopers are clones of Jango Fett)
...when the bounty hunter bangs his head entering his own ship.

The Stormtrooper who banged his head is the exact Stormtrooper who got mind-tricked back in Tatooine. He was discharged by the Moff and left, unknowingly saved him from the destruction of the death star. His name is Wanten aka TD-110. Years later, he became a First order officer and died later during the beginning of The Resistance-First Order war started by the Destruction of Starkiller base which was once a planet called Ilum

All the zillions of times I watched Star Wars and I never noticed this. Then a friend pointed it out to me. Then we rewound and rewatched it and rewound and rewatched it so many times that by the end of it we could barely breathe. We both nearly died that night!

I think it's canon that the Jango clones have that as a blind spot.
His designation is TD-110 and his nickname is Wanten. He is the same person as the sandtrooper commander who gets mind tricked by Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Damn, must have gotten demoted for that then.
I find it hard to believe that a death star trooper was also stationed on Tatooine just a few days earlier... but I guess some clever author thought it would be cool to put that in a book.

Star Wars overall is silly.
After watching this again, it’s clear that the problem was that the storm trooper was way taller than the rest of his team and the door didn’t open all the way up.

My dad was the stormtrooper in the back of the one who hit his head. He said he heard the trooper mudder something under his breath. He also was one of the tusken raiders on the bantha

Poor Laurie Goode. He wasn't even supposed to be working that day. He was filling in for another extra named Peter Dukes, who had fallen ill. He and Dukes had the same measurements, so he was able to wear Dukes' costume.

Looking at an original 1977 cinema print scan, the sound effect was always there.
This is a blooper that made it into the final movie. The actor playing that Stormtrooper had trouble seeing where he was going with the helmet on, causing him to hit his head

Stormtroopers are apparently cloned from other people or regular recruits. All the original clone troopers slowly formed a rivalry with the others and were moved to the 501st

Most of the stormtroopers are not actually clones of Jango Fett. After the Clone Wars, the Empire largely used regular recruits in their forces, which can be observed in the troopers’ differing heights and voices.

This is Disney's doing. George Lucas intended the stormtroopers in episode 4 to be clones. Disney change it to keep continuity. Disney screw George Lucas over there's an interview with George Lucas explaining what Disney did to George Lucas. The interview is a film which has been posted here on CZcams
I’m not sure that’s true. As I said, the stormtroopers in A New Hope all had different heights and voices, and I believe if Lucas wanted them to be clones after the prequels were released, he would’ve had Temuera Morrison redub every stormtrooper in the original trilogy, but he didn’t.
@@alextait8255 It's not Canon, but in Star Wars Battlefront 2 there was a line of clones bred for an uprising against the Empire, and they decided that an army all made with the same genetic code was putting all their eggs in one basket in case of sabotage.

Many Stormtroopers are human recruits but some of the Stormtroopers are Jango Fett clones.

Nah, he would be a human recruit. Why would the Empire make the doorways too short for a clone? And I'm pretty sure this tall trooper is a reason why it's no longer canon for all stormtroopers to be clones, because this guy was obviously too tall to be a Jango Fett clone. The only big clone would be Wrecker and he's Hulk-shaped and never joined the Empire.

I actually got to meet the stormtrooper who hit his head. I even got to take a ride with him in his car. He's a pretty nice guy to talk to. We listened to Scottish music.

1st the dude doesn't start ducking until the door is literally just above his head 2nd then you need to explain this loud banging noise was 0:59 EXACTLY as he starts ducking andor banged his head and it sounds like something banged metal and it does sounds like a helmet that hit that metal ship
the slave 1 isn't touching anything on its exterior aside from jango let alone something that would hit it AND obi wan doesn't throw the tracker until just after jango enters slave 1 AND that was definitely not the engine that made that banging noise
