Attorney Brian Steel was held in contempt of court by Judge Ural Glanville after refusing to disclose his source regarding information shared in an ex-parte meeting between the judge, the State, and key witness Kenneth Copeland.

Because as a member of the new York state bar and a graduate of Harvard school of law class of 2010, this 4 minute clip is insufficient to be able to come to the brilliant conclusion you all seem it share. Could you point out the time stamp that proves this collusion between the judge and prosecution. Or tell me about the 6 previous occasions prior to this clip where the judge warns both sides about this very specific thing.
@jivy1022 it's not this clip, watch the whole, hours long interchange, it's pretty wild. No way this judge doesn't eventually get removed, unless we're just going to throw the judicial system away. He doesn't even know how the different kinds of contempt even work, it's kind of nuts. Multiple lawyers tried to explain it to him, and he still pressed on.

Regardless is YT is guilty or not this case will be brought back on appeal automatically.

By law the judge can’t have secret meetings with someone without the defense being aware. All citizens have the right to know what is going to be brought up in court before it starts so the defense can set up there legal defense. Yes secretly meeting with anyone without being disclosed can easily be seen as corruption regardless of the person being innocent or guilty.

Holding a meeting with a witness telling he’s gonna plead the 5th without the defense lawyer present or notifying the defense of the meeting and got mad he found out, allowing cases with overturned sentences due to corruption to be used by the prosecution, continuously allowing the prosecution to enter new evidence to support their case the same day, etc. The prosecution is a joke and they don’t care if he’s innocent or not. People often ask defence attorneys “how can you defend someone you know is guilty?” This is exactly why. Even if you are guilty, you have a right to a fair trial, a proper investigation, and an impartial judge. Infringing on those rights is corruption and should not be allowed in a court of justice.

Saying learn the law doesn’t make sense. By law you have to disclose any meeting against the defendant so there attorney have had a fair chance to fight against things there client is being accused of.

Them finding out about this illegal and unconstitutional activity is in no way their own misdoing.

You want to know what’s unreasonable? The defense already had evidence thrown out from illegal warrants, the state has threatened and ruined witnesses lives to the point they’ve said they don’t want to be alive anymore or be there. Then on top of all that this illegal and unconstitutional meeting in chambers without letting the defense be present for representation.
Now tell me, why is Mr Steel calling out these illegal actives so wrong? The state gets to break the same laws than you or I would be bound to? Correct me if I’m wrong, the elected officials to represent our laws that protect us from misdoing, yet they are constantly skirting and breaking the laws in place to protect everyday people and give them a fair trial.

They know thier client is guilty so they intentionally do things to drag it out and make it seem like some miscarriage of justice is happening. Steel has been warned repeatedly and he chose to be arrested. Right to an attorney doesn't mean you get to choose your attorney. If your attorney does something to have themselves removed from court, you don't get to just stop the trial, especially when there is co-counsel. The defense is intentionally trying to cause a mistrial and creating issues to appeal after the verdict. That's the only "defense" they have.
And the idiot judge entered the trap by breaking the law. That judge shouldn't be judging anyone.

Every senator, governor, lawyer and judge knows how fallible, unreliable, and inconsistent the system is, yet they aren't trying to fix it. Any one of us, innocent or not, could end up railroaded and locked up for something we didn't do if we get mixed up with any of the many corrupt people inside the judicial system.
Right to an attorney does mean you get to choose your attorney. Hence the reason you can also fire your attorney as well. NOW I don't even know this dude or follow the trial. All I know is it's been going on for a long time and always in the headlines for something.

I had all evidence the other party falsified evidence which the judge accepted it was fabricated but I still lost my trail. The system is a joke.
