"Why does every story have to be the biggest end of the world event of all time?" That's the question that I ask every time DC or Marvel announces a new big event nowadays
I think this is where the series really hit its stride, especially when they traveled to the 6th dimension. However, I wish we could get a clearer and more straightforward plot that highlights the fun character interactions that Synder's proved he can write instead of confusing subplots that make it hard to wholly enjoy the book.
For me the best stories in this book is when the heroes get a break between the World-Ending Threats and just chill in the Hall of Justice. The best Issues are 8/9 with the Aftermath of the Totality, where Superman puts the moon back together and Batman is like "Okay, the Moon is cool, but what if we made it a BAT Moon? Eh?"
Snyder's run is a ton of dumb fun. I think it has great, over-the-top Justice League action. And some of the banter is really crisp. That said, it doesn't always work, and you have solid points. Some of the characterization is weak, and Snyder's writing sometimes gets smothered by his own overcomplicated plot. There's nothing wrong with a lower-stakes story, but everything has to be world- ending for Snyder. Too much is going on for its own good. Ultimately, it's one of the better JL runs, in my opinion. But, it's not at the top of the list.
After watching this video,I just realized that I want to read a Justice League comic written by you. Also could you review Justice League cry for Justice and Justice League rise and fall? They're both a tragic story with an interesting villain. They're not so long (7 issues each) so the wouldn't take so much of your time and you could review both in one video. I Would love to see your review on them.
Great job with these reviews, I can say I'm enjoying them and it gives me some ideas as to what series to read next. You earned a new suscriber. That said, maybe the next series you review could be one that you like a bit more? After watching this review and Tom King's Batman, it's quite obvious you love your sarcasm and to ramble about how nonsensical certain storylines or decisions are, so those sections of the videos end up making the whole review being a huge negative (especially Tom King's, but to be fair that was probably the point). Your reviews of Metal and Endgame were awesome, explaining your nitpicks but also praising what they did right.
I love Scott Snyder justice league and the story with the 6th dimension with Superman Clark kent remembering his wife Lois Lane and my boy Jonathan Samuel kent superboy as his little 10 year old self is really awesome and adorable but also Superman doing United States smash on the world forager is truly epic and badass.
@@TevyaSmolka Indeed, and it's a reference that Jorge Jiminez himself confirmed. No, really, he admitted on Twitter that the Kent Family Punch was an homage to the Father-Son Kamehameha.
Awesome video man, your analysis for comics and stories are absolutely on point. Can you remind which video did you talk about Alfred Hitchcock's bomb theory for suspense, cause I loved that video and wanna see it again but I cant remember which was it
No worries man, i always love to support great content I actually thought it was the Hush video to or the Suicide Squad video, so I watched both but it was neither :D Hush was about the "who done it" do know which other videos it couldve been ? 😄
Wouldn't it have been more interesting if the 7 forces of the universe were actually the Seven Deadly Sins. That way, Lex's argument about Doom being superior to Justice would make sense. It would also build off of the Earths Cosmic Tree being Entropy.
hey can you do a view on how to start reading for any of the following Aquaman, martian manhunter, john stewart, guy gardner with a yellow ring, and green lanturn
Fresh perspective haha I felt intellectually inadequate reading this run. Everyone seemed to love it and here I am struggling to understand what is going on! What rebirth runs do you like btw
Seriously, am I the only one who had an easy time following Scott Snyder's Justice League run? I'm a scrub when it comes to DC lore, and I understood what was going on perfectly fine.
Her name is Perpetua, and she's basically DC's Kaguya when you think about it. Hell, to shamelessly plug my own Avengers-Verse here, I even made Kaguya one of Perpetua's offspring. Granted, it was due to me not realizing what I did, so Kaguya essentially has two mommies in my Avengers-Verse.
@@smashmaster521 I think kaygua and her dumbass family are easily the worst villians in all of naruto. We went from interesting villians like madara, obito, and pain to lame boring villians
Johnny I am so sorry. I am now considering deleting this video. I didn't think of the consequences when dropping that reveal. How foolish of me. Also the Wizard of Oz isn't a wizard.

Snyder is like that kid in class who was assigned a five page essay and submits eleven. He has ideas but needs to trim a lot of fat.
I really can't wait for you to cover Bendis's Superman.
Oh boy do I have some plans for that
