Every time I listen to a SADF story, I feel pride swelling up in my chest. We were good at what we did, how we responded to difficult times. We were professional, and a few armies could say the same in the world or keep up with us.

We were there. Over and above the fact that we were sold out and stabbed in the back by our government, those were difficult days but heartfelt memories. With what we had and how few actually bore the brunt of the battle on an ever shifting front, over very large area. Narration can't portray the actual distances travelled in the story told. I'm proud to have served with you guys in the SADF from whatever race or foreign country. I have no doubt we were the most formidable force in the world at that time, albeit for our numbers. Since the Boer war, many countries have adopted our tactics, not forgetting that we also learnt some tactics from the Rhodesians. Salute to all!
