- Carmine spoke to an audience of grad students at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. His topic: The New Rules of Persuasive Presentations pulled from his best-selling book The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs. Here's an excerpt.
1.Passion about making the world for the better.
2.Big picture before details (tweeter style headlines)
3.Memorable (three parts, comparisons)
4.Emotionally charged events (lough, fear, etc.)
5.Picture
6.Story
I rarely comment, but this is the best lesson I learned about public speaking! Thank you so much for sharing this!
The best thing I got from this is the rule of three concept.
What a wisdom!
@ 2:05 if you can't get your idea out, it doesn't matter. Such a potent point to make. Part of the problem with that is that some of the most important ideas are very hard to package in a way that is easy to distribute on a mass scale - that, OR we just don't understand it well enough, like what to do to make technology ENHANCE our lives in the real world rather than addicting us to a screen.
Excellent!!!
Thanks so much!
I like this presentation.
