New 2024 CBR600RR: Awaken the Race | Supersport Motorcycle | Honda

- New Model: Honda’s middleweight supersport jewel returns to Europe, destined for road and track action. Its inline four-cylinder, 16V DOHC engine produces 89kW @ 14,250rpm and features an assist/slipper clutch and standard fit quickshifter. Throttle By Wire control - derived from the RC213V-S - along with addition of a Bosch 6-axis IMU delivers 3 default riding modes, plus two custom User modes for adjustment of Engine Power, Engine Braking, Wheelie Control and 9-level HSTC. Cornering ABS and Rear Lift Control are also part of the package.
The chassis comprises an aluminium twin-spar frame, aluminium swingarm, Honda Electronic Steering Damper, 41mm Showa Big Piston USD forks and Unit Pro-Link Showa rear shock. Dual, radial-mount four-piston front calipers work 310mm floating discs. Designed to deliver best-in-class aerodynamic performance, the aggressive styling includes downforce-generating front winglets. A full colour TFT screen completes the specification.
A HRC Race Kit will also be available, for circuit use only.

Amazing that they brought back the under seat exhaust. Especially when most of us didn’t expect the super sport class still be kept alive by Honda 👏🏽
This bike for sure was only placed back to Market due to the Response of the customers..
But maybe it even will be a small attack to kawasaki and Suzuki if it is priced correct
I dont think they really updated anything beyond looks and electronics. Still the same frame and engine as the old ones.

@@nickblaser992 well it's now euro5 compliant on account of it being street legal. so they definitely updated the engine and exhaust in some way

They killed the CBR600RR, revived it, killed it again, and now they revived it again. Hopefully they get better engine improvements.
That would be great but imo I would rather have chassis n weight improvements.

The cbr600rr was never killed off. It’s been in continuous production since 2003(?). Anyway it’s a weapon look at the Asian cup series or the IOMTT to see this. Also saying it weighs nearly as a superbike is like saying blue is almost light blue. It doesn’t mean anything. Go out and ride a cbr600rr at over 250kph and then you will have nothing but praise for this miracle of humanity ingenuity I promise you. This is the pinnacle of mechanical engineering.

@@dyren7437 basically what those guys said. Long story short a 4cyl of the same size will always be dirtier pollution wise over a 2 cyl because of unburned hydrocarbons. You can get twin cylinder motorcycles of many different sizes mind you. The channel “Fortnine” did a video on it recently, and they’re the highest acclaimed channel in motorcycling.

I wasn't in the market for a supersport, much less a 600... until now. This is perfect. Definitely going to give it a test ride, hopefully the price ends up being reasonable.
It won't. It'll sit on the showroom floor for years and they'd still never entertain the idea of cutting a deal.
@@domenik8339 I don't think this is confirmed, but I've seen preorders going for €13k here in Germany. That seems pretty good for a full-blown supersport with all the modern bells and whistles. May sound like a lot for just 600cc, but consider that the chassis and suspension are much higher spec than your average middleweight naked. It's basically a fireblade with smaller cylinders, €3k more than the CBR650R doesn't seem unreasonable for that.
@@dsofe4879I'm happy to see it back but it's still a gamble for Honda, especially with so many great street bikes. I found offers where you could get a 2020 fireblade for £4k less. It doesn't sell because it's a track bike. If you ride this bike only on the street, it is a waste of money and the bike. No sane person will do 100mph+ on public roads and try MotoGP lean angles, you risk a nasty crash or driving ban. Then you have availability and the cost of going to the race track, increased maintenance intervals because of track use, fuel, tires, brake pads and other sundries. Personally I'd take the cbr650r or r7, they look great and have plenty of usable power and are cheap

Very nice to see a new 600 rr from honda. BRING BACK SUPERSPORT. I got its old brother 600 rr 05 and its even bigger brother 1000 rr hrc from 07. Both old but still verry good en beautifull sports bike,s. And iam really hope to see this bike coming to Europe!!!
