The best part is with instant and sorceress you are casting copies, and all cards are tucked away back in the deck. Permanent obvs resolve to board state
We used to have games at my high school where we would start with possibility storm out. So much so that my friends started making decks built around this unique game type.
I actually think for any player who is open for chaos, lets go haha, it really doesnt need a "super combo", I think its fun for any deck without a tight/combo gameplan! : )
Love this card, works great i. Tribal decks, and completely hoses combo/cEDH decks.
Edit: I have this in my Edgar Markov deck. Casting a vampire with eminence give you two tokens. With anointed Procession or Ojer Taq just breaks it even more.
I play this card in my sliver commander deck and it works as a reverse cascade. I use overlord to search out a 1 cost sliver and then summon it to get a random different sliver. Search that 1 again off the bottom of the deck rinse and repeat. Yea you dont really get to controll what abilites you get but by the time im doing this combo i have so much mana that i get nearly all of my slivers then and there.
Have you ever cast a spell while controlling eye of the storm and possibility storm at the same time? I haven't but I look forward to it. Anhelo the painter is another great commander for this card as you basically get the spell you cast + another spell of the same type for free
It works decently with Edgar Markov. Every time you get a vampire, you get two cast triggers, meaning you get two little vampire tokens. Value!
I keep coming back to this card, I want to make it work so bad. It seems like a lot of fun.
Possibility storm is my favourite red card!!!!!!!
-can shut down counters and removals
-can cast low CMC an maybe get better cards.
-just all around fun card

That play MAY cast that spell. Doesn't always work with thar
When playing possibility storm, also play confusion in the ranks to get a even more chaotic game.
I love this in my Nekusar enchantment based deck, it dosn't hurt me to cast a different one
This card is insane with momir vig! You can cast a green creature and instead cast any creature of your choice instead. You just have to layer the triggers so that possibility storm goes on the stack first and then the ability of momir vig for a green creature to search a creature to the top of your library. Put the creature of your choice on top and only pay the cost of a 1-drop mana dork for example to cast an ulamog!
Zechary DeWolf and ughh how do you play this in mormir vig.... unless you mean not as your commander in that case it's too fragile
In a temur or yidris shell you can run momir and possibility storm.
Zechary DeWolf yeah but in that shellyou reduce cheap green creatures you control and not just that but finding the combo is harder..
In a fun style deck without locking down opponents and getting kicked out of playgroups, use Possibility Storm with Strionic Resonator and Edgar Marckov. Doubling to tripling effects for value. Helps feed skullclamp for more draw too. Key word VALUE.
So, when this enchantment is active and you summon a demanding dragon, does its ability proc and you deal either 5 damage to someone or they sacrifice a creature and then you exile demanding dragon and then when you have to look through your library to find another creature card, would it be any creature, does it have to be a dragon, if it was a legendary creature you originally cast would you have to find another legendary creature?
This card is so broken i pulled it from a pack and its been it pretty much every deck incorporating red. I dont care if I lose, the hijinks is amazing.
Works great with Zada Hedron Grinder or Mirrorwing Dragon, you get all the copies of the spell and a new one for even more copies.

One thing you could if mentioned is a way to copy Possibility Storm, getting a 2nd trigger off each of your spells is just bonkers.
In my Arjun deck I run this in conjunction with Eye of the Storm and Hive Mind. Very underrated card.
Throw in a thousand year storm too!
mishra does not work as it does not cast trigger on her it is a play trigger
Play and cast mean the same thing when it comes to spells.
Should try this out in my Un-Cube, can never have enough chaos.
I run it in my 5 colour modular tribal deck in the sliver and ally versions as a disruption card, it works well vs spell based deck ive found and in those modules i dont care because its just cycling for another tribe member. The dragon version doesnt run it mainly because ive been burned casting a dragon to get a utility creature like a mana dork that i didnt need

In a full permanent deck, it is now a wincon ;)

Picture the following scenario:
You have a deck composed almost exclusively of permanents.
With the notable exception being "primal Surge", which is a high cost sorcery that allows you to place your entire deck in play SO LONG as they are PERMANENT cards.
Now then, there are several problems... the card is super expensive, wouldn't it be amazing if i could cast it using just ONE mana?
Enter possibility storm, possibility storm is a very disruptive enchantment that puts games upside down for everyone, usually played in Chaos troll decks that only seek to annoy the whole table.
But that's not the case in this deck, You see, possibility storm basically hijacks whatever you want to cast, and instead makes you excavate from the top of your library until you find another spell of the same type...
Example:
-if you cast a monster, you excavate for a monster.
-if you cast a sorcery, you excavate the deck until you find a sorcery and cast it, and so forth...
No you stumble in a new problem...
How can i cheat into play primal surge using possibility storm, if its the only sorcery in the whole deck?
The first impulse is to introduce into the deck another normal sorcery like "Gamble" which has a low cost of 1.
But by doing that... then you stumble onto another really messy problem...
What if i draw "primal surge" in my first hand? And even if i could cast it normally without using possibility storm, then i run into the risk of not being able to summon my whole deck... because gamble is still on the deck... and if you excavate it too early... well... you are screwed...
That where adventues come into play...
Most adventures are considered permanents while in the deck, BUT in the hand some can be cast as sorceries...
So... you basically fill your deck with searchers and adventures/sorcs
You search both possibility storm and an adventure...
Then play possibility for 5... play sorc adventure for 1 mana...
Excavate your deck until you find the only other sorcery in the deck, which is primal surge...
Now enjoy as you proceed to vomit the entire contents of your deck into your table as everyone helplessly watch because possibility storm invalidates their negations.

1 thankyou for taking the time to answer a question several years after you originally posted.
2 I play commander slivers using a deck I threw together myself and did 0 top tier reacherch on and I literaly use this exact strategy all the time and it truly is a beautiful thing. People hate it yet laugh every time.
3 the reason I asked what you were talking about is because I didn't know what you ment by "adventure" and that confused me as to what that card was and how it acted like primal surge when played with possibility storm.

@@TheDeathless i see, no problem lad! I was referring to adventures as in the dual card type introduced in throne of eldraine.
I play that combo in my vaevictis asmadi the dire commander deck, probably my favorite deck of all time :)
