Rather than laminating how about just putting it in a clear sleeve like they use for ID cards.
The main thing that I wanted to see is how the get the digital copy, but I could not see what you did.

Is the website to add the vax card to apple wallet legit?
This site ask you to upload or take a picture of you vaccine card. I chose to take a picture, it only prompts for one. The problem is when completed and verified it displays two pictures, both are pictures of the front. It should prompt for both front and back pictures. To be transparent it requires a $5.00 donation which is not a problem just to be clear. I like having it in my electronic wallet while the paper copy is home safe.
It will ask you too, but gives you the option to pull the donation slider down to $0 (I just did it not even 5mins ago), so its not mandatory
Check out how Germany did it with an app. You get a unique QR code when you get the second shot. You upload it into the app and it's internationally accepted. You leave you vaccination card at home with other important documents.
Germany has a history of “show me your papers!” They had a head start

Indian's cowin portal is also helpful with the qr based certificates. Although it has its own issues this is useful.

I got a clear pocket to put my card in. because it’s a legal document they might not accept a copied version bc they can prove its not authenticated

Yep, if you don't have a card, you are no longer a human being. You no longer need to work to provide for yourself and your family, travel, etc. Doesn't matter that vaccinated people are still getting COVID, possibly still transmitting it, and likely causing the variants, if they exist, via ADE.

No need. Just put vacc card as backup only in wallet. Because my country are using digital cert and QR code inside Mysejahtera application that provide full information of our vaccination. Just bringing your smartphone everywhere you go with Mysejahtera apps already installed, and of course just keep it update always.
