Basically, just IGNORE unknown messages.

And even if you're not sure if it's really from your bank or Amazon. Delete the text. And use the app and login directly to confirm anything.
Every phone carrier needs to add a spam blocker option with a new system update to stop this madness like now please
I am receiving tons of scan texts lately. 😂Texts like "your Netflix account has been locked" , LOL, I don't even have a Netflix account.
On a couple of occasions, I got so upset that I texted things like "stop scamming people" and then I got a reply with horrible profanity. It's not even worth it.
I do have a "report junk and delete message" in red letters that I can use but I feel like it makes things worse (getting more scam texts).
I have a ton numbers that I blocked so far, but,I wonder if it opens doors to other scammers..
I also get scan texts at midnight or 1 or 2 AM. This indicates that these scammers are worldwide.
I wish there was something that could stop these scammers.

I've been receiving texts claiming that my Netflix account has been locked and to click the link in the text to get my account unlocked. I KNOW it's a 100% scam because I do not, and have never had, a Netflix account. I keep deleting them and the idiots keep sending them, twice a week, usually at 4 a.m., Eastern time (probably from overseas). It's annoying, but I'll continue to delete them until they get tired of sending them, and then they'll stop.
To prevent you from being scammed, HAVE COMMONSENSE.
I get them sometimes. They’re easy for me to spot because they’re either grammatically incorrect, claim they’re a business I have not recently shopped, or simply too good to be true.
Yea just go to there website if it might seem legit it's not even that hard
I wish our carriers would just step up and stop all this spam. It's not that it's hard to tell that it's spam. It's just annoying that 80% of all texts and calls I get are spam.

As long and he sends you a special code to verify your identity.
I would tell him to Western Union me $1,000 to buy a new iPhone so we could communicate better. He's rich right? 😂

My Uncle IS actually a legit Nigerian prince, but his inheritance is being held because of some strange Nigerian laws I wouldn't understand. So I've been sending him lots of money through Western Union for years now. He's really nice! He also wants me to send him feet pics all the time too. He just really cares about my well-being, ya know. He assured me he will get his money & send me some really soon... as long as those feet pics keep coming. 👍🏻🤴🏿💰

This just happened to me. I was told i was receiving a free gift for paying my bill on time, I’ve actually gotten things , but i had to pay shipping. Well, they just spent over 700 dollars a few days ago. And i started receiving text constantly saying my package is ready for shipping and i just need to give an address . Some even said my full name asking if this was me at my address . Then i got messages saying my phones receiving too many spam text and to “act now before its too late”. I didn’t open any of those of course cause at this point I’m too sketched out. It’s a scary world we live in now, don’t make my mistake. Now i gotta figure out what I’m gonna do about rent tomorrow ha.
I got a text scam and because I replied to the text, I think I got some malware on my iPhone. I had to do do a factory reset and change all my passwords. It was very stressful and frustrating.

Got a scam message this morning from Paypal. It said did u access ur account at this time and try to purchase something. I don't have a PayPal account. So I reported it as a scam

The reason there are so many Scammers is because there is little that the Law Enforcement is doing little to nothing about them ! Make it an automatic 10 Year prison sentence and it would stop after enforcing it a few times and the scammers would get the message !

Every since the war between Russia and Ukraine started, I've been getting anywhere from 1 to 3 text messages a day. I never got this many on a regular basis. I admit that in the past, I may have selected to $top messages, but never got spam messages every day until now. I do report the spam each time I received a text, but never open any. Still good information to hear and get back to the basics.

I just had a scam call (and fell for it). They spoofed my bank’s phone number, so it looked legit. He said he was ringing about a suspicious transaction on my card and asked for information in order to put a stop on my card. I know, I’m an idiot. The bank told me if they were ringing, their number wouldn’t show up, it would be a” blocked number”. I hope this might help someone be aware.
When you get such a call, hang up and call the number on the back of your credit card, so that you initiate a valid contact.
This is great information. What do we do about the new attacks that are faking a friend or family member's phone number, especially texts but if their voice is online say from youtube videos, they can use emulator software for voice calls. They prefer texts though. They phish for your personal information like, around the holidays asking for your address, or they tell you there is an emergency and ask you to send them cash cards. They do not need your phone! They hack to get your "ip address" type of bs & emulate the number. The texts or calls appear to be coming from the actual person, but the real person has no idea they're using their number.
just listed two items on Craigslist and started getting texts asking for a code they sent and then asked for a second cell number which I didn't have or give. Checked and looks like a scam. How do I delete these phone texts?

Just got one don’t click on the phone number that’s all the scammer get your data. Then they use your phone to text message some other person that’s in your contacts randomly

Sound like the "unsubscribe here" emails I get from spam/scammers on a daily? How is it that I can go onto a website and then go back out of it and do something else and the next two seconds? My last phone was infected and there was no doubt about that. It absolutely developed a mind of its own so I tried to be careful this time. A few mornings ago I got a text that I knew better than open so I just deleted it without clicking on it. My phone has been acting weird . Blocked the number right away 3 dollar fee my @@s never ordered anything and it was a Coca Cola free prizes scam which went to almost everyone in Georgia 🇬🇪 it was so believable but none of my family members fell for it

The EASIEST way to know if its a scam is that most scammers are illiterate. DONT CLICK ON ANY LINK.
