Good job Ryan! It’s always amusing hearing other drivers get childish on the drivers stand. Let’s get the short course class alive again💪🏻
people get pissed at marshals is amusing, best bet is not to crash, lol.
MORE SCT STUFF! This is awesome! I just love the carnage when SCT's crash, the sound it makes. These trucks should make a comeback.
After the 3rd rollover on the little table top I wanted to come through the phone and say Ryan, WTF! Awesome to watch guys who really know how to drive. The way you come out of that double double into the turn was beautiful to watch!
Totally geeking out your hat. Long live THE DOC. #violencespeedmomentum
This is a really well done upload. Top notch editing. You had a nice break down of a new build while identifying a handling issue, a full upgrade kit break down / showcase, and then an action packed race showing off the improvements in handling. Top tier content
Thanks man! Trying to keep it fun and informative
So many memories i have from NewRed, good to see Shawn’s back and still racing! Good stuff Ryan 💪🏾💯
Amazing driving, great films, precision detailing and all the rest. Keep up the good work Ryan, loving all of it!
Cool job! The looks of that SCT are freaking awesome, and with the low rider kit it’s on rails! Thanks for yet another video, so inspirational
After watching for a couple weeks I finally subbed. Bashed rc for my entire childhood and a little past hs. Never raced. After a 10 year hiatus you have inspire me to buy a 2wd stadium truck and start racing. Great content on your channel, love the technical setup aspects.
Great video. Nothing as fun as some good short course racing!
Very well spoken. Thank you for the knowledge. I wish we could get this sport bigger!
Well done sir! Thanks for your time and info for these videos! Keep it up!
Great job! Definitely put those stadium trucks on notice.. always allow forward to your videos. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much for all your work and videos. It helped me get into the hobby. I bought a b6 for turf/carpet and hit up the track for my first time the other day. You and others make it look so easy but you guys motivate me and also your information helps a lot. Once I got in the Rythem I was getting better. I have to learn how to pin the brake over jumps but I’m really thankful. I can’t wait to watch more content from you and hopefully one day race against and meet you
A few bobbles but, man, was that thing planted! Great build and loved the updates, what a fun project! Really enjoyed watching this thing progress, hope to see some more videos like this 👍👍👍
Very nice lines. Hugging those corners
Sometimes you just got to watch a Ryan Harris video at lunch at school 😂😂
Seems nice, great speed going in and out of corners, might have to give this a shot.
Nice video Ryan.
The truck looked great especially after the conversion!!
Great to see you wheeling the SC !!!
I hope you do more shortcourse video!!
#KeepShortcourseGreat
This is one of the best channels. Ryan is a great host.
Thanks ! Great video!!! Inspires me to put more 5.0 stuff on my SCT 3,0
I just subscribed seeing that your packed with speed violence momentum!
Makes me want to get another short course! Great video
I have this truck it’s amazing. It’s been sitting, hoping and waiting on the class to thrive again.
Beat on some stadium trucks if you have to!
@@RyanHarrisRChey Ryan...just found this video via the youtube algorhythm. Your truck is fire and u have mad rc driving skills....cool course. I will be watching for more! 🤘
SCT the masters of FUN, great video
Thats a fun track. Super smooth high grip
Ryan ive been watching your videos...great work man. It makes me miss racing rc but now my hometown doesn't have a track anymore. Sadness. Keep up the good work
Well done Ryan!
@RyanHarrisRC please make more short course vids like this! Always a good time watching these vids 🤙
You can drive! Very cool. Do more of these.
You see how that thing was lifting the inside tire off the ground in the corners! That was awesome!
Great video & excellent info.
Great Race. Thank you for upload. Greets
Nice racing man. That thing really does look like a buggy with a sct body on it...but I dig that kinda stuff 😏
Love my Lowrider kit on my SCT
This is an amazing video as usual!
It was a nice race ,couple more laps and you definitely had it ..
I see you Ryan! Almost had it! Nice battle👍🏽👊🏼
Good job, I like the truck!
Nice Ryan! I had my first ever race this Sunday in 2wd buggy and I managed to come 3rd in the c main 😄
Awesome video Ryan thanks
Great video and driving that table top got you oh well !!
Great video as always Ryan.
Lovn the Dr.D hat, VIOLENCE, SPEED, MOMENTUM!!
I am a two time champ in my own right ya know... 2005 & 2006 stock Losi champ. Back to back!
@@RyanHarrisRC But do you have multi million contracts?
Hey Ryan! You know what's missing? Walkthroughs of the tracks from a racers POV. (discussion of lines, acceleration, braking) I have seen very few (if any) videos by racers. I think it would make for great content and would be very educational. Maybe even a voice over from the driver's stand during a practice run. Keep up the great content and continued success!
Nice paint job too
great vid Mr. Harris
Good work as usual!
That body is so sick
Really like this video. I have a b6.1 which I bash, I really found these set up tips interesting... like mine understeers and I’ve no idea why kind of thing... would love more of a simplistic buggy set up video... love your videos
Im just getting back into RC after over 10 years..... these videos where youre paintjpb is KB43 inspired really make me wanna paint up a KB body for the B6.1 i just bought
Looking sweet!
Always wanted to see if a rally car could be built to see how close it could keep up with stadium or even short course trucks.
Just ordered a short course truck from Arrma and I can't wait for it to get here
2wd shortcourse is so fun, wish it was a bigger class here in Michigan. Great video....tons of info!
Where do you race in Michigan? I am trying to get a winter series going.
@@jeffwilkinson4524 Dirtburners.
I have never made to dirt burners. Maybe this winter.
@@jeffwilkinson4524 Just got the new layout set up and running, they are testing the waters with dirt oval as well. Definitely one of my favorite places to race in the Detroit area.
I like mixed class racing, especially when they're closely matched. We raced stock and mod 2wd buggy yesterday on a new clay layout and my friend took 1st in his stock buggy above the mod guys b/c the track didn't have full grip yet.
Truck looks like it handles really good , hope to get my sc6.1 to handling like that soon
Nice race bro
I love the ST class!!! 😎
You have that thing running on rails great job. The marshals at that track need to be a little less nonchalant and get to those roll overs a bit quicker. Great video Ryan.
Awesome build man! Try raising your front ride height so that the lower arms are horizontal. That will raise your roll centre and should decrease the trucks tendency to roll in the front and then possibly negate that stiffer spring you fitted. Just an idea, would be cool to experiment anyway! Keep it up 👍🏻
Thumbs up for the hat dude. Like Dr disrespect. 👍
I'm kind of addicted to your channel. I'm fairly new to the hobby and soak up everything I can learn. Racing is interesting, but there is too much detail and it's also too expensive. Too much stuff you need. Since there is no appropriate track near where I live, I think I'll just stick with driving offroad somewhere. Anyway, I'll keep watching in case I change my mind. Thank you for your effort and the very detailed explanations. Your way of presentation is very pleasant too.
Very nice that truck is really dialed in. We need more truck races people. Put the buggy down and get a SCT😄
Awesome vid
Very nice race and truck
hi Ryan I have looked at your chanel for a while now and you are the one that made me buy a car. Now I have 4 cars already and i cant wait to get better and better. Dont ever stop with what you are doing and i love your chanel sooo much.
lol there's always that one guy yelling at the marshals
Back when I raced, I had a bit of a policy when it came to marshaling. If I was running to get someone's car and they yelled at me, I'd slow down to a walk. If they kept revving the throttle while I was trying to pick up the car, I would just put my hands on my hips and stare at the driver's stand until they stopped. If they hit me while I was in the process of marshaling someone else and it results in their car having to be marshaled due to the impact, I'd refuse to marshal their car and let one of the other marshals take care of it.
The reason I started doing that last one is because I was often marshaling for 1/8th scale truggies since I primarily ran 1/8th scale buggy, and those truggies can do some damage if they hit you at full tilt. I don't care if that's the optimal line, if you see a marshal on the track it's your obligation to avoid them. This is actually the reason why for 1/5th scale racing they don't typically have marshals standing in the track area itself. The quarter scale oval guys even have caution flags.
That Tamiya alfa on the shelf was my first ever RC back in 98! Lol was the white Bosch one though
Considering the initial handling the truck had to what was in race mode, was a BIG difference. Looked to be really setup !
There's a guy at my local carpet track that has the same TLR truck with this conversion and he is very fast! side note: It's crazy that RC racing got to the point where mid-motor 3-gear would have too much weight on the rear lol anyway nice video, cheers!
Way to go, Ryan. I also have the RC Lyfe lowrider kit, but could not really make it work on indoor clay. So you are inspiring me to not give up with it. Hey, question: "Did you ever put on sway bars?" Because I did and found out they help a lot.
I’m Brian, an I ain’t lying, Ryan , you was flying. Great race brother.
Yo this vid was sick
Nice driving Ryan. that one jump did you in, otherwise you'd dominate :D
Id love a video about how you converted the transmission to laydown, what parts used, even a quick build or highlight the hard parts.
woohoo Short course racing 👍 More Please 👍
that was nice' congrats!
In the spirit of this video, last week at newred thursday night thunder I raced my 2wd sct and beat up on all the stadium trucks. had to finish the job for ya.
Almost at 30k subs!
Wanna go to do my first race soon, plannin on doing a 22 5.0 elite setup similar to urs. Thx for the vids! Helps the new guys a lot with rc racing
Go to Milwaukee in November for the big AE race. Trackside always has a good size SCT class as well as 2wd and 4wd buggies. Pros should be there too since it's a manufacture race.
sc has 3 or 4 mains by me so its cool to see a big name such as yourself dabble with them!! We however all run 17.5
👏 Style points for matching your vehicle. Maybe you should have shirts made in your color scheme when you race, like a team jersey 🤙
Great video Ryan just so funny to see you racing sct not buggies 👍🇨🇦
That was a close race...
Love the hat at the start
Top video.
It’s like watching NASCAR. It was great!!!!!
So Losi will see this and call it the 6.0
Looks awesome
Awesome! 0 dislikes so far, and for very good reason! Thank you for the video, I’m a new subscriber and I’m very happy to be subscribed now :)
That was a great run! That place also looks totally awesome! The track looks to also be set up for Dirt Oval, is there a lot of oval racing in your area?
Looks like the shocks may also need a little softening along with the lay down setup.
That was a awesome race Ryan came close to that win a stadium truck class overall you won the short course class there was one more short course in there to overall great race man.?👍
More stadium truck racing! Yes more more more! Hahahaha
My favorite class for a long time. The performance looks great, but the truck lacks a bit of the realistic looking handling. I raced 1/8 buggys for a long time and what I loved about the short course class was the slightly mushy handling. But I guess for serious racing this is the way to go.
I dug out my 22SCT 1.0, got a fresh body to paint and am going to smash it around the dirt just for fun, when tracks hopefully reopen this summer.
Dude! nice driving.... I mess with crawlers, and bashers. Racing always seemed so exotic and out of my reach. But I have enough property I need to make a track. There is a traxxas mud boss class locally, but I would really like to turn right sometimes. Thanks for being so open with your setups, it might not be important to some people, but just knowing what removing the sway bar can do, or changing hub carrier position....i already feel like I gained some knowledge
Build the TRACK! I started raking an oval in the woods one day, and now it's a great high speed track with banks and jumps...built on public property down by the river.
Hell yeah!!!! SC4L
Maaan, if only the trucks would get the official 5.0 treatment... Looking forward to the video update - "CHANGE MY MIND: Short Course trucks are more fun than Stadium Trucks"... 😂
Awesome job man, I really like the look lowered like that, I wonder if there is a kit for the associated b6.1 sct? I’ll look
Very nice
