It's nice to see 2 citizens out of what has became a Covid fascist country, enjoying freedom in the Balkans.. I wonder how you reflect to that, maybe in some other videos.. I really like Australia, it's wildlife, nature and to me English sounds best when spoken in Australian accent.. But how Australia is handling Covid is just sad to watch.

Thanks Novak, yes it's been very embarrassing to watch for us. We've been treated so kindly by everyone in Serbia and to see how Djokovic has been treated over the last week makes us very upset. The freedom throughout Serbia and the rest of the balkans has been wonderful!!

@@hgworldtour Yes, and it's not just about Djoković.. Australia had some of the worst if not the worst and longest series of lockdowns in the whole world and now this with Djoković is just complete madness.. But the people who rule the country are to blame, the country itself stays wonderful as it has always been.. Even AO is my favorite out of all 4 slams and to Djokovic too, he said it once that it is his favorite slam and that he has always been treated well in Australia before.. Thanks for reading my comment, I'm glad you're having good time here!

I visited the Waterfront twice and the construction is looking up and the feel there is really good when you take a walk to enjoy and once those are all complete it will definitely look great.
Galerija is huge and a really nice mall with a lot of shops and some places for kids to play.

Yes, the Central Bus Station will be moved to Novi Beograd far from the city center, also before near the monument to Stefan Nemanja was also Central Train Station, and it was moved to the other side of the city, so both station will be separated and away from the city center.
Before they were next to each other close to the city center. Which is common for many big cities in Europe.

Bus station will be relocated to New Belgrade next to the New Belgrade railway station. The Old railway station (which was right next to the bus terminal on Sava square) was moved in 2018 to the new one called "Prokop"

The change required the consent of the people. Many Australians must agree, after all they aren't ruled by strangers, the police aren't foreign and the neighbors are ratting out neighbors. Serbians do not have the same mentality as the broken west
      ...so, not a good analogy

It slowly started 30 yrs ago. The last 2 yrs just really ramped up. It isn't the govt, rather it is Big Pharma that has every country under ransom with contracts signed. At the same time, the politicians are getting a % on the sale of the vaccines and why they are pushing so much, like mega desperate sales ppl.

Bro, its totally like docklands, its like you have been describing waterfront. Also controversies arent cuz of modern look but due to behind the curtain deals, goverment law manipulations and intimidations of previous land owners there.
Imho the worst thing is that they are removing bus station from the center of the city to quite far part of the New Belgrade cuz of their greed and idiocy. So basically most of the people in Belgrade will have to travel much further and longer to the bus station and it will also overload already overloaded bridges and make even bigger traffic jams which are already quite bad. They are also removing that old tram bridge which will be eventually replaced by new bridge but until then traffic jams will be terrible.

    • @hgworldtour
      @hgworldtour  Před 2 lety +1

Thanks for the extra info! That doesn't sound good at all, the traffic is already pretty bad epically over that bridge that will definitely make it worse!

well you must be also aware that a BUNCH of the objecst are ILLEGALY BUILT.We litteraly ahve WHOLE neigborhoods ILLEGALY built that when in catester you go into there says its a agriculture land but when you go ther eyou suddeenly see the whole street of NON LEGALIZED WILD housebuilding.Thats one of the biggets problems ESPECAILY SAMLL TOWNS,VILLAGES where ALOT of buildings were built without any paperwork or without any registrations whatsoever wicth give additional headaces.DUe to WILD build and nothing is legalized is WHY we have alot of problems when for example parents/relaties die withou leaving a document on whom and how they give their possesions/house.Then ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE between family to the point tahtt EVEN some LONG LOST RELATIVE suddenly apears OUT OF NOWHERE after 20-30 years of SILENCE just so he and his family can claim a piece of land.THAT IS ALL DUE TO NOT LEGALIZING AND NOT MAKING SURE TO DO IT ALL PROPERLY BT ALL IS DONE IN A EXTREMELY NON GOOD WAY.

And that staircase building you like...
General opinion is that hole in a middle is because of Godzilla, so when he gets back in a water, he could easily pass through without tearing block apart.
    Smart design 🤔...

The things that most locals have against Belgrade Waterfront are above all the accompanying gentrification and the lack of properly done environmental impact assessments. With climate change, the Sava will see more frequent and severe flooding events, which needed to be taken into account in the urban design of the waterfront.

  • @goranstojanov1160

Suprisingly ALOT of the appartmenst have been alredy eighter fully sold or at 70-80% sold.I think the Belgrade Tower that is still being build is alredy like 70% sold appartments even before building started taking shape. There are many people outside that bought those (for them CHEAP) apartmenst so to then use as a rental or to buy early then resel when the price of the appartment rise up due to thinsg being built/finishing being built.Tehre are alos ALOT of Serbs from abroad and some retired sportsman and so to say Serbian celebs that bougt some of the appartments and some even moved back to Serbia to live.So thast a realy positive thing. There were also some middle class Serb families that returned back to live in Serbia permenantly hat bought or are in process to buy some of the future apparmenst.
For middle class Serbian Family its expensive to extent and need ssome additional planning BUT for lets say Serbs that lived oustide Serbia and ESPECIALY foreigners for certain appartmenst alongside benefist from banks that banks give it is actualy PREATY CHEAP to BUY teh appartment (or atleast it used to be originaly when the sales firts started).

This project of Belgrade waterfront is illegal and the government used the public budget to build it. Normally, this place was to be built the opera of Belgrade as well as a university. The majority of Serbs do not approve of this criminal project which in addition destroys the city of Belgrade by its appalling architecture.
