    YES! Students get PERMANENT RESIDENCY in 2 Years (WITHOUT MINIMUM SALARY REQUIREMENTS) in Germany after doing their Studies here. You can read it on the official Government website of the city of Berlin here: www.berlin.de/labo/willkommen-in-berlin/dienstleistungen/service.245678.php/dienstleistung/326558/standort/121885/

    Hi Bharat, what is not covered in the video is:- if aufenthaltstitel is issued on the basis of section 19c of residence act (PhD students with work contract), then that person becomes eligible for niederlasungserlaubnis after 3 years (provided that language and other requirements are fulfilled). This is for students coming from 'friendly nations' as mentioned in below comment.

      I think PhD student with employment contract gets their visa/residence permit under 18d of residence act and they can apply for settlement permit after 4 years (if B1 German proficiency is achieved).
      19c is something else. It's for nationals coming from friendly nations of Germany.

      Yes, you have to, otherwise your visa you come to Germany with will expire anyway after a few months. So the Ausländerbehehörde will send an invitation letter to apply for residence permit before the student visa expires.
      At first they give you the residence permit for one year (usually), then for 2 years. This is a temporary residence permit for the duration of your studies.
      If you then after graduation find a field related job you can apply for the permanent residence permit after just 2 years.

    Doesn’t it only require 6 years instead of 8 years to apply for the citizenship if you can speak german fluently?

    • @BharatinGermany
      @BharatinGermany  Před 3 lety +1

      You will have to speak fluent German for the citizenship. So that is not a special criteria to get the citizenship earlier. You can get the citizenship in 8 years check out the governmental website: www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/service/konsularinfo/staatsangehoerigkeitsrecht

      @@BharatinGermany Hey thanks for the reply. I understand your point, but the timeframe of 8 years can be shortened in some cases. Check out this link:
      www.schengenvisainfo.com/germany-visa/how-to-get-a-german-citizenship/
      You already need B1 proficiency to apply for the citizenship in the first place. HOWEVER, it
      says if your German is really proficient, such as B2 or higher, you can apply for the citizenship after only 6 years of residency.
      The government website didn’t include this exception, but many websites do.

    Horror, principalmente se a pessoa chegar com um título universitário (bacharelado) e a dona Alemanha rebaixa no "reconhecimento" para "Ausbildung" = técnico/nível médio e a pessoa é obrigada a trabalhar com uma formacao superior fazendo trabalho de gente com menos formacao! Além disso, um alemao no nível B1 só serve pra ir comprar um pao na padaria e entregar formulário em escritório de estrangeiro, pra trabalhar de verdade e entender tudo, é necessário um nível B2 no mínimo, já quase arranhando um C1. E sim, pra viver aqui e ter seus direitos garantidos e ser tratado mais ou menos bem, falar alemao é essencial, ALEMANHA NAO É UM PAÍS DE LINGUA INGLESA! Voce pode ter um job falando ingles, mas a vida fora dele vai transcorrer em alemao, nao se iludam.
