Donald Haines and Sunshine Sammy graduating from Our Gang to the East Side Kids. Donald Haines became a USAAF flyer during the war and was killed in action just about two years after this picture was made.

Excellent. Almost doubled over when Scruno was buzzed from the gas lol I was waiting for it and wasn't disappointed. Mugs is the master of sarcasm and he says it with a sneer. When Huntz Hall joined the group it was a perfect match on screen.

Even though these kids, especially Mugsy, use hard words said incorrectly, you have to give them credit for using them correctly and trying to incorporate them into their everyday talk. You don't see kids ever doing that today.

In those days it was important to sound like you knew correct grammar & had an extensive vocabulary, because it was thought of as showing intelligence & a good education. Both were considered valuable, unlike these times when kids feel 'cool' if they can't string together a coherent sentence. What can you expect out of a generation where many can't even read an analog clock😂 Smh!
