When the bad guy start singing their own theme song like some sort of Disney villain you know you’re in for an epic fight
Raphael and Savorak are, IMO, the hardest and the best themed fights on the game.
Fun fact, the voice actor for Raphael, Andrew Wincott, had no musical training but they gave him a shot at singing the song himself and he absolutely nailed it so they stuck with him instead of hiring a professional singer.
Nailed it in the studio where they could produce the song, unfortunately his lack of training was more obvious in the game award performance where he was way off the tempo of the orchestra.
@@kantpredictI just call it him having a naturally high Charisma but not proficient in Performance.
He rolled high in studio, but more middling at the show.
Also, he won a BAFTA for his role as Raphael. So well deserved!
If you cast Silence on Raphael, he stops singing. That means this egomaniac is doing his own theme, in real time, while he's fighting.

The house of hope is my favorite part of BG3. It was very satisfying insulting Raphael about being bad in bed and destroying him in combat. Dude is such an egotistical twerp and needed humbling. But his song is amazing and I've listened to it several times since playing the game.
Most epic video game level, ever. Tension slowly ratcheting up, culminating with fhe master kfmthe house's return. When the music started, I literally had goosebumps. Im like, omg, they created their own song and voiced it for this fight? How tough is this guy?
The fact that Larian Studios put a evil villain music number from Broadway and gave Raphael 666hp is just so much fan service that I never even knew I needed... and I didn't even go to The house of Hope on my first playthrough... It made me fall in love again and on the third playthrough I kicked in every door I could find... then I did the dark urge playthrough and shat myself!

Larian cooked. I thought Divinity Original Sin 2 was incredible, BG3 and the love they put into it is immaculate. Love them to death and back around to life again (if Withers allows it)
Hah, I played through this a year ago, just ~2 weeks after the launch and my reaction to this was exactly the same - stopped playing completely, totally stunned with my mouth opened I just couldn't believe what I'm witnessing. And I remember thinking to myself - thanks god I play this so early on and I wasn't spoiled, because I already knew it would be one of my favourite gaming moments ever. And I almost missed the House of Hope completely, it was one of the last things I did before the ending.

where is the full playthrough?
How did you get Yurgir on your side before thus? I had to pass a DC 30 check to get him in this fight (I did manage to pass it) and he’s an invaluable ally both here and in the final fight. But I never knew you could get him on side in advance of this!
You have to help him fulfil his contract instead of killing him in the temple of shar. Just need to find and kill the last sharran in the temple...
