I love Shadowheart as a character. Even if you say nothing and trust her, she chooses to throw the spear away. It shows even brainwashed for years as a cleric of Shar, she’s still a good person underneath it all.
I was relieved she chose to do the right thing. She kept saying she wanted to be a dark justiciar but I also didn’t want to stand in the way of her dream.
That is not how my first play through went.
How did yours go? It’s cool how diff ppl can have diff experiences in this game. It’s not a one size fits all type of deal.
@@AlteredCalyx It went.
Shadows Actions are based on your Bond and the morality of your previous Actions. Player influences her
i've watched like 6 playthrough pass through this scene, I cant get enough
I think Larian did a great job with the plot twist. I totally was not expecting that...
This one segment has more "holy shit" moments than most entire video games. Crazy, emotionally exhausting, and totally awesome.
AGREED. I seriously was not expecting Nightsong to be a being... I back tracked several times throughout the playthrough searching for a sword 😳.
Amazing, I never tire of watching ppl play through this part, forget goosbumps, i'm in tears every time :) Why cut the combat though? It is a difficult fight with Balthazar and would have really liked to see your approach.
I love difficult battles, but they take a while... didn't want to bore anyone 😅. Here's the link to the fight (from the VOD) if you're still interested tho ❤ czcams.com/video/wICOosEQFDY/video.htmlsi=vJjU04Bfku51C8Ng&t=15794
@@AlteredCalyx nice, lol'd a bit when you said 'this fight doesn't seem so bad'.... cloudkill.
Those cloudkills were painful! 😵💫. Shadowheart with her Blood of Lathandar really shined here ☀️💀.
This fight wasn’t so bad compared to the Githyanki fight w/ Therezzyn in the Crèche. THAT fight was the most challenging for me so far 😳. Had to reload that fight a few times, swap out companions, use the environment…pulled out all the tricks for that battle. But it felt so good when we conquered it 💪🏻.
Looking forward to some epic battles in Act 3!
i just one turned his ass before engaging in dialogue :D surprise combat is the best combat
Each time I've watched that scene, and its 5-6 times now, it's biblical. The first time I saw it, I was shocked. Absolutely blown away by her transformation into an angel. I still can't get over it.
Exactly! The whole time I was searching for an object so it was shocking to find out the truth 🤯. It was an amazing scene and I still recall the goosebumps ❤️
13:15 i might be wrong but I wouldnt be surprised if that broken statue is of Selune and she is metaphorically and literally sending a beam of light to the shadowlands
you’re likely to be right! before ketheric turned the entire place into the shadowlands, reithwin (and by extension, moonrise towers) was a haven of selunite worship, especially given what we pick up along the way on the thorms’ history
I love that imagery. Darkness be gone!
the Nightsong, daughter and sword of the Moonmaiden Selune, lady of silver, the light in the night
Praise ❤️
certified goosebumps moment
yesss, someone else who gets it 🙌🏻 ❤️
best scene ever
Agreed! (altho I’m not done w/ the game yet so I can’t say ever but so far!)
shes an asemir child of a god (selune daughter i believe) and celestial immortal being
Alfiras weeping dawn, the nightsong, and lae'zels duel are the top 3 epic momentd in the game for me 💯🔥🍿
I forgot about Alfira's weeping dawn. That was a good one too ❤️. Unfortunately, I never got to experience Lae'zel's duel (I lost her in Act 2). This game definitely has some memorable moments 🥰
"Liiiiiives.... all mortal liiiiiives.... expiiiiire"
'nuff said.
@KingdaToro I LOVE THAT SONG 🥰
A lot of the gods of this world helped in their own ways, large and small, Sylvanas empowered Arabella, Mystra sent two of her finest champions, Lathander allowed us to carry his mace, and Jergal stood firmly at our side. But Selune? She sent the flesh of her flesh, her own daughter, a great and powerful Aasimar, armed and armored with holy power, she provided shelter in the heart of the Shadow, she handed out multiple powerful artifact weapons, and even found time to redeem a child, fallen into her sister's shadow. Selune is what people hope for when they speak of gods, an active hand, guiding and protecting, a divine overwatch to help us see the mission through. Of all the gods in DnD, she's by far my favorite. Our Lady of Silver, She who Guides.
That was beautiful ❤️. I can feel it when you say Selune is your favorite 🥰
@@AlteredCalyx Thank you. It's a subject near to my heart, beings like Selune are why I struggle to get into evil playthroughs of any game, if something like her exists in that universe I can't help but want to carry their banner. A goodness so good it inspires greatness.
Watching many of these moments I do find it interesting how many try to stop her. I ended up trusting because of other things.
Yea, my girl is pretty aloof and has trust issues. But now (I’m in act 3) she will fight anyone who even throws shade at a party member ⚔️❤️.
My character is a Ranger and likes his friends to do what's natural to them. It felt wrong to make her choice for her.
I trusted Shadowheart to do the right thing, just like I did for others. Even Astarion in Act 3, where he surprised me a lot.
I'm still early into Act 3, but Astarion has recently surprised me with his outlook on power. He's kind of a loose cannon for me tho so we'll see if I have enough trust in him when the time comes 🥺.
I'm kinda aloof with my companions emotionally, but we have a strong bond through our combat adventures. If anyone threatens or hurts one of my companions I will hunt them down 😡
Idk if anyone told you but u made the conversation harder than it needed to be lmao. All u had to do was trust Shadowheart and then say nothing
There have been… trust issues in the past 🥺. Lae’zel turned on my party during our first encounter with Vlaakith. (I didn’t even get a chance to talk her out of it).
But I should’ve known I could trust my girl Shadowheart ❤️
