I missed out/ wasnt collecting when the OG came out. Im glad they re issued this. I got two of them, one to display battle damaged & other regular display. Also have the Inart Superman on order cant wait to display them together

I can’t ever buy a hot toy of a failed movie franchise but for those who arnt so picky, this is a great buy.
I guess to each their own but would ask which Hot Toys do you collect then? I see Hot Toys as a more of a commemoration of these characters. BvS is still an enjoyable movie much like how Batman 89 and Returns are and Ben Affleck is actually most people’s favorite on screen Batman. I’ve never really thought about wanting a franchise to still be running for me to want the figures. But in a sense these are all dead/ failed franchises nowadays, Marvel has fallen, Star Wars has fallen, DC has fallen and those are almost all of HT’s licenses now. Check who they follow on IG, they follow 14 accounts, once you subtract their own IG variations like HTjapan and Honostudios they only follow Marvel, Disney studios, Star Wars, DC comics, and League of Legends. It seems gone are the days of other beloved random IP’s ( Aliens, Terminator, Predator, etc).
But I would argue outside of the OG trilogy, (and some people really love the)prequels, and Rouge One, Disney Star Wars is a failed franchise. Ever since Endgame every Marvel project streaming or film has bombed (only Sony’s Spider-man is the exception). And DC is just a mess, but I can understand someone wanting figures of certain characters from any of that media. I guess I’ve always just bought figures based on what I like than what others have thought about them or how the franchise ended. I still watch and enjoy MOS, BvS, and ZSJL and want anything Ben Affleck Batman related. It would be like not wanting any Arkham figures because the newest games like Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad killed the Justice League ruined Arkhams legacy. I guess I could go on forever and this would work better as real life conversation but I did enjoy exploring your take on this and thank you for tuning in and the support bro!!😎🤘🏻🦇
@@JesseRebirth I usually collect faceless ones like cobra commander. I don’t like actors faces on them unless they were a movie that was a one off and the character wasn’t replaced or had major alterations in his design. Like I would prob collect John wick or the chic from Kill Bill. Maybe power rangers.
