    German open demonstrated the best viewing angles of all games. All game should be taken like this. It shows the trajectory of the ball, detailed hand and footwork movement of the players and more importantly how fun and intense the game is.

      I guess then you would be willing to pay for all the travel, accommodation, food expenses, etc, for the amazing players in every tournament since the sponsors who funded everything could no longer even have their names shown prominently

    This video has the best angles and best replays. It should be the gold standard for major tournaments. Why doesn't ITTF do this?

    • @peterwind8101
      @peterwind8101 Před 10 měsíci +1

      With this angle, can you even see the name of the main sponsor, which is painted on the floor, clearly? Yes, it’s that company which paid for everything that made the tournament financially possible. You care only about your viewing experience, but not a thing about the amazing company that made it happen

    How does Ma Long slide in to receive serve with his backhand on the forehand side so confidently? What if it goes to the other side?

    • @CalvinAytch
      @CalvinAytch Před 7 lety

      A right-handed player's reverse serve naturally wants to go to the left side of the table (from the receiver's point of view). By using backhand on forehand side, you can more easily generate the angle needed to put the ball back to short middle or short forehand (from the server's side). This is a lot easier than opening up the wrist with a forehand receive (though it is still possible to do so).
      Effectively, the spin prevents it from going off to the other side.
