Agree with every single word of this! Especially as someone who practices polyamory, the choice to stay with your partner while you are both climbing a mountain or even a small hill in spite of the possibility of either of you simply going with a newer partner who you’re still experiencing butterflies with is a really powerful one. Closeness when in struggle is so much more potent. The whole point of a partner is to have someone you struggle with, someone you take on crazy challenges with, who still makes those struggles feel easier in spite of it all because we are magically capable of so much more together than alone.
Love this video!! This is 150% true. Here is one who's been married for 14yrs with 2 kids, and the butterflies are gone but the love.... I feel evolved to a higher level and honestly we still love each other very much and every day we looked at each other and say: I would choose you 100 times again. You're the one. It's amazing to reach to the level of loving after the butterflies phase is gone. Because the truth is that falling in love is beautiful but is a phase that ends quicker than we think.
