Roche is such an honorable warrior. Not only does he fight Cloud on equal footing, he even gives him a full heal to make sure he doesn’t have any advantage at the beginning of the fight.
I appreciate the upload because it’s a great game, and it’s great that someone from the community wanted to give us a chance to relive these moments. That being said, I often wonder about the though process behind the some of the editing choices on videos like these. This is a big, beautiful, highly cinematic (high budget) game, and a big part of the experience of facing these bosses is witnessing the grand entrances that establish them. Roche coming over the wall and attacking his own colleagues for a chance to satiate his instant obsession with Cloud, President Shinra and Heidegger’s taunting, theatrical display before Airbuster...that’s all important.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! Yes, it is a tough decision. When making a video you either can stick stubborn to the topic or try to see the final result from the perspective of the viewer. That being said, I tried to mainly stick to only covering the boss fights and not too much to the cinematics before and after the fight. Since that’s something that I usually cover in my other videos. Nevertheless, I already thought that I should have shown more off in this video and will do so in future boss-coverage videos

The Hell House was the most annoying fight for me. The immunities and switching between elements that if you didn’t have a counter for your basically screwed doing next to no damage. :/
Imagine if they decide to make Roche playable in part two, i know it might sound weird but let me explain (studios), the seeds for it are already there, we see that roche wants cloud safe because he finally found a rival/training partner that's on his level, and he clearly disobeyed shinra and protected cloud before, so he seems like he kinda guy to just say yolo and rebel, besides i want a limit break where he drives over his opponents, you can see where i'm going, and it seems like the remake's story will be different so i am SURE that they will introduce a new playable character just to make that point, and i feel like Roche would be a good fit, tell me if you agree with me on this
I only died in this game three times, one against Shinra combat simulator Cloud Only, another at the beginning of the game and the last I remember is Sephiroth. The hardest boss fights for me was Roche, HellHouse, and Sephiroth. I was using bad materia on Cloud vs Roche, HellHouse with immunities and resistance, and Sephiroth since I used materia from my other members on Cloud without knowing they would join the fight later on having Cloud stall to revive the others with Phoenix Down.

Rest in peace turn based style rpgs. I hope with future iterations of Final Fantasy, they give the players a choice between classic turn based, and the new style. That would bridge the gap and solve the problem between stubborn veteran fans, and new comers.
You're right RIP turn based Final fantasy, it's just not a new situation. Being generous with the definition the last mainline game to use the classic ATB was XIII...11 years ago. The last truly classic turn based entry was X in 2001. This shit's been dead for years and years bro.

Hardest battle for me gotta be Reno and Rude fight 55:15 . Other bosses annoys a bit, but they don't gives so many close calls as those 2. I had GREAT trouble to steal their items xD

@@yogurtretzel8865 Is it true the FF7 remake allows you to explore the world? If it does like the original FF7, at some point in the story, multiple weapons surface when the Meteor arrives. You can fight 2 optional superbosses (ruby, ultima, and emerald weapon), then there's the diamond weapon you fight.
Despite the title, this isn't actually a full remake of ff7. This is just focused on the first portion of the original game. More games will come out over the next years to complete the series. The Jenova you fight in this part of the remake is an illusion of the real Jenova, which you'll likely fight in a future game.
I know I’m not the first person to say this, but SquareEnix kinda shot themselves in the foot. Midgar is just the first part of a long journey, yet Cloud and the others are already super powerful by the end of this game. Sephiroth; the main antagonist, got his ass kicked by Cloud before the adventure even truly began. It’s going to be tricky to make him as intimidating from now on.
This game gets an F for not having George Newbern as Sephiroth or Quinton Flynn as Reno, and for not releasing all parts together the same date. Even if it means the game comes 2021 or 2022.

They changed too much of the game to actually make it as memorable or as good as the original...not gonna apologize for this but it pales in comparison apart from the graphics
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only the Midgar Arc and more sun and side stories/quest and that’s what makes this game so long,and to not make everyone wait so long they only released this version within the time being but the 2nd arc should be released at least within the next 3-5 years because of how much time and effort it took to make the Midgar arc and after Midgar so much more happens so I’m really looking forward to it :)
nothing worse than the action pausing just to do some bullshit abilities. i like free flowing combat not combat that you have to pause every 5 seconds to use a flashy ability. then again thats Japanese game design in a nutshell all style no substance.
