Coach, I just want to give a thanks to your channel and the videos you make. They help a lot in many ways
You are Welcome
Thank you coach you really help me understand and breakdown these moves
Ive never improved so much from hoop from watching one youtube channel🔥goated
Love the content coach
This channel is super underrated. Wish I had this channel 10 plus years ago in high school
Thank you for breaking this down in a way I could understand.
Love you coach 😎
great video Coach! please could you make a video about consistency in shooting? thanks a lot
Coach I commented on your other video yesterday, I hope you finish the finishing work out soon, some reverse, Underhand, Overhand, floaters and etc, especially through multiple defenders and through contact
The most underrated coach!
Simple moves but deadly💯💯💯
Thank you so much for putting out all this conent its helpef me a lot i appreciatr you
This is an excellent video.
Great video
I'm learning so much about basketball from this channel, thanks
you are the best basketball coach on youtube,
What a move!
Thanks coach you r the best
I use a lot of running back cradles like Dior Johnson in pickup when doing this. It works great because they're obsessive with poking at the ball. It takes them completely out of position to contest the layup because they become stationary at that point.
You go bro
Awesome
It’s my first time seeing it.. But the BACK TAP looks too smoove and disrespectful 😂
thanks for your contents man😁
05:18 wtff how did she mis that
She used the wrong hand
Great
This was actually a good tutorial
Thanks. It's an important move for sure, simply gathering it early instead of crossing which is much riskier.
Can you do a video about the veer step please
Nice
Coach can you make a video about reverse lay ups? How to master and how to do them?
Look at the rim and shoot it on the top corner of the black square.
How do you keep fro
Traveling? I know they would call travel in HS for that move Kylie did with Swim gather
Thx😂😮😊
awsome move i will use this a lot! and also can you pleas make a video about reverse layups?
Thanks. Reverse layup video coming soon 🏀
Can you do a video on the spin seal? I've seen variations of it from kyrie, lebron, and beal
Kyrie usually does it off the pick and roll and does it occasionally when he retreats with the ball. Lebron does it mainly out of the postup as a counter to his turn around fade. Beal does it off the dribble and spins out of it
Yup been thinking about making a spin seal for a while - it will be made, but it's gonna take some time to find all the clips.
@@CoachFrikki channel is so awesome, I’m a former overseas pro and train now. I love the concept of spin steal, I only pulled it off 1 time whole career but always amazed by it
Relajante
2 bounce and lay up very effective trick gg wp
Keep coaching coach
Looks nice but it's pretty hard to do without travelling (outside of NBA) since most people pick up their dribble (gather) while they have a foot touching the floor (pivot foot) and then take 2 steps. Never felt comfortable practicing that move.
Here in the philippines they call that a travel😆
The Yugo step aka hop step is the one that is called for travel violation because the pivot foot returns to the floor with the ball still in the hand(s). This one is a clean move
Anong travel?
1st step, avoid defender then 2nd step land on BOTH feet then bounce off the ground with BOTH feet (pro hop), legal? Or travel?
Is it a hop step across the defender?
What's the difference with hop step?
I love how ad makes up for cousins miss
Twin towers!
Great stuff coach! Any sample of yugo step?
It's a travel in both NBA and FIBA. Also a pretty weird move, I'm not a fan.
@@CoachFrikki thanks coach
Hey coach, when looking at tutorials for swing steps, i see lots of coaching teaching it off one foot, but also lots of coaches teaching it off a two foot jump stop. I was wondering if either is "better" and what situation would you use each one in?
Hey man.
A swing step into a 2 foot jump doesn't make much sense. You don't cover nearly as much ground if you jump off 2 feet. Haven't seen any coach teach that.
Are you talking about a pro hop?
@@CoachFrikki Sorry i need to be more clear, i mean that on their last dribble, they do a little hop and then go into the swing step. Like what r2 shows in this vid -> czcams.com/video/2wf9ZKbJrjY/video.html
@@olivergriffiths8094 I understand you now. That's just a personal preference.
Like the player at 4:43 (coached him for 4 years) is stronger off 2 feet than 1 so he does a small hesitation hop into his swing step.
But usually you swing step after running straight at them and that hop is gonna slow you down.
Interesting thought, hadn't thought about this before.
2:43
Hey coach, nice video but I have a question. If a player while gathering on the swing step jumps up high rather than stepping is that considered a travel or a valid move? Not sure if thats clear.
Basically, if I gather and jump off my right foot then land with 2 powerful steps is that a travel?
Good question! 2 steps (after gathering on 1) are never a travel. Take them as high/long/slow/powerful as you want.
@@CoachFrikki how do you explain this move on the yard because this could easily cause controversy quick 😂😂 looks almost impossible to stop
Is there a way I could use this even though I’m am very undersized or is this just not suitable for me
Anybody could use this move. Jalen Brunson for example uses this a lot even though he's undersized for NBA standards.
Psalms 23
This is great, but how would a player who is below 5'10 use this? Should he do a low swing or can he still use both?
I'm about 5'10. Usually use a low gather. But a swim gather (overhead with 1 hand) can also be very effective when they don't expect it.
Kinda like a pro hop
It's look likes euro step
Is this not a travel because on some clips they jump up and take 2 steps?
when you pick up the ball its a zero/gather step so you can still take your 2 steps
What's the name of song/tune???

I twisted my ankle
5:17 💀
Its better if you go for 'Yugo Step"
The Yugo Step is sadly not legal in most leagues.
that lamelo travel tho lol ( at 1:30 )
Its not travel ??
Kyrie is different
Love how the only womens video is a missed wide open layup
5:17 Lmfao, i said that was clean then she fucking bricks it
Basically a legalized trip

how to defend this
Don't sag - pick the ball handler up outside of the 3 point line.
how not to get beaten off the driblble when I do that?
Get quicker, stronger, smarter. Play endless 1v1 vs quick players and figure it out.
Меня так прикалывают правила Американской ассоциации, откровенно ребята делают пробежку, но в таких моментах судьи ее не фиксируют от слова "совсем"
this is a travel in mens league basketball
5:18 how did she miss🤦🏽♂️
Isn’t the swing step a finishing move, a pickup, and a dribbling move all in one.
You can't do this outside of college basketball there is no gather step and you will get called for travel.
How is this not a travel?
it is a travel everywhere except NBA cause they get an extra step (gather)
This is basically a hopstep
I can’t understand the footwork 😫
It's not hard at all if you go with the flow of ur body and avoid over thinking things
If youre swinging with right hand right leg first left leg second if your swinging with left hand left first right second
These all look like a travel
