    Made a mistake with this!!!
    The gauge plate needs to be mounted at angle of 25°.. so the tank needs to be rotated slightly! Other wise there is a risk that the tank will over fill or under fill.

    Hi Ben, great video and gave us some good ideas to fit all our tanks underneath as well as the spare wheel. What size tank did I you use? Have you had any problems with the position since installing it?

    • @BejamVan
      @BejamVan  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Torzy, thank you mate.
      My LPG tank is about 25L if I remember correctly. I've had no issues in the use of it whatsoever since installing. Never bottomed out etc. The only thing I did do was rotate it as it has to installed at a certain angle.. if you don't get it right it won't fill to its max capacity. I rotated it I this video.. czcams.com/video/ba0Bh1tvPXo/video.html
      If I did it again I would fit a bigger tank where the spare wheel goes I think for a couple of reasons but mainly because I generally struggle to find filling stations. Most garages are phasing them out it seems. In the summer it'll last weeks but in the winter I'll get 3 or 4 days out of it 👌🏻
      Give me a shout if you have questions dude 😊👍🏻

    • @torzyk
      @torzyk Před 3 lety +1

      @@BejamVan that’s great news, thanks, struggling to fit it everything in any other way. In the UK we tend to be on hook up a lot of the time which should reduce our gas usage but we just want the option to be able to do a few days off grid too. Our current van has an even smaller LPG tank which tends to last all summer but we only use it for the hob. Happy travelling!

    Hey man, I really enjoy this vid. I've watched it countless times but I'm still confused 🤯. You say it comes as a kit and to me a kit would mean everything included to make it happen yet when I go to the link it says " Underslung LPG Tank Kit for Motorhomes" but with lots of options to the right and it states "The final price depends on the selected options below.
    The base price is for a tank only with fully fitted valves and vent box. It does not come with any filler, frame or other accessories unless options are selected." (Is this statement new do you think?)I spoke to LPG shop and they said the price, £282, (so include shipping would be correct at about £300) was just for the tank and I had to put all the other stuff together. It's strange I know and totally confusing. What do you think, if I order the kit do you think I'll get just the tank or everything? Cheers.

      Hey man, I'm sorry for the late reply.. I feel bad leaving people hanging but I've been in the van in the lakes over the last few days with WiFi problems 🤦🏼‍♂️
      Sooo.. Reading through your message, I'm sure when I installed the gas it was a kit which included a load of basic fittings to make it all work.. you could then select optional extras or change parts depending on your build. I remember changing some minor stuff on mine like a 2 outlet manifold and some extra copper pipe etc.
      If you're struggling dude give me a shout on insta describing what you are after and we can build the kit together 👌🏻

    Need your help please Mate... my head is wrecked ! I Just wired up my gas level gauge and not working 🙈 I took the green signal and black ground straight from the gauge on the tank and wired direct to the green and black on the indicator, took the red live and spliced into a live feed... no lights on the indicator 🥵 what Might be the problem ?

    • @BejamVan
      @BejamVan  Před 3 lety +1

      Have you taken the blacks down to a stand alone earth on the van mate? Even if its 2 seperate connection points it's fine just don't link them with another earth or cable.
      The gauge works on resistance based on temperature of the tank.. you can check the gauge by measuring the resistance of the signal and black cable of the gauge then placing the gauge on a warm or cold glass to prove its okay.

    • @BejamVan
      @BejamVan  Před 3 lety +1

      I basically took the green and black straight up from the gauge on the tank back up and connected direct to the green and black on the panel, then took the live and spliced into another live that I have used to power the water tank level indicator. So what your saying is what I have done is correct but I need to splice into the earth between the gauge and indicator and wire back to the earth on the fuse panel for example on its own ?
