@@iwoww562a9 The 2020 was far more of leather wrapped Chevy. Terrible interior, horrible ride and cheap feeling all around. Not even close to the 2021.

Amazing video ! I love the chrome grille this should be the only grille offered… the world has taken this “sport trend” way to far to the point where it’s worn out and stale. An Escalade is about the chrome and bling not sporty blacked out features like a sport sedan.

Solid review, Justin. Thanks so much. I also liked your recent review of the GMC Yukon AT4, and made a post there with a few questions if anyone might want to answer in either place. I am seriously considering buying the regular length 2021 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum with the Heavy Duty Towing option so that they add the two speed transfer case, the electronic limited slip differential and the 2W Low option. Though I don't go "off roading" so much any more at my current 59 years, I do want to be able to get anywhere in any weather all year round, especially in ski country during serious winter storms (The best time to ski), which includes a lot of highway driving, but also back roads and less well maintained roads, and maybe some dirt roads to camp sites or fishing spots. I am wondering generally if the regular length new Escalade would be good for all this, and specifically, I am wondering about the last comments Justin made about the rougher back roads not being quite so smooth a drive, might that be a little better with the regular length instead of the XL length that was driven in this review? Maybe Justin, or someone else, would share their thoughts/experiences, help a guy out? I could get the AT4, and am tempted to, but though nice it's nowhere near as luxurious as the Escalade, and I cannot get the diesel on the AT4 and am seriously considering the diesel version of the Escalade (Lower horsepower, but the same high torque as the 6.2 liter V8, and it's torque that kicks in sooner at just 1500 rpm's instead of the roughly 4600 rpms of the V8). Great review, and thanks to anyone who adds some input here, or in my AT4 post. Oh, and PRAY FOR SNOW! :-)

Is OLED burn in a concern for the dashboard, may look nice but would suck if certain logos etc burn in. Maybe LED would be a better forma for car interior displays..

Almost Half of 2021 Cadillac Escalades Have Sold for over $100K
The redesigned 2021 Escalade starts at $77,490 for the base Luxury trim, but GM reports that 43 percent of buyers paid more than $100,000 for theirs.
"[The] all-new Cadillac Escalade retook market leadership in its segment in Q4," GM stated in its 2020 fourth-quarter sales report. It sold 9454 Escalades in that time, including 2020 models. GM also said the Escalade's fourth-quarter retail deliveries were up 19 percent. Car & Driver

You reference it can be a wifi hotspot. Do you know, can wifi only be accessed on the screen upfront, or can second row passengers access wifi and do say any type of internet searches on their two screens?

The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the Cadillac Escalade account for 50% of all large SUV sales in the US. GM makes 340,000 of them every year and exports about 80,000 to 31 countries. They’re made in GM’s plant in Arlington, Texas, which is said to be the most profitable assembly plant in the world. We estimate they generate $20 billion in revenue for GM and about $4 billion in profits. Autoline Daily.

Now Cadillac needs to drop a blower on top of that 6.2l! GM has several versions of the supercharged 6.2 out there.

I do not understand why GM has made the ambient lighting so simple with so few choices of colors. Why it does not let you use the automatic color changing while you drive??? Also why the ambient lighting is so feint. You can not even see it at all during the daylight. But you can see it in the Mercedes easily during the day. Why, why why????

I like to give a little glimpse behind the scenes of how I make these videos by showing a little bit of the camera work. I hope it inspires a young person to pick up photography as a hobby, since it's a great pasttime and skill that can be used in many parts of your life.
      Glad you enjoyed!

I am so disappointed by Cadillac. While German automakers like Mercedes and Audi had beautiful ambient lighting for years now, the Cadillac flagship SUV Escalade had no real ambient lighting until this new generation. I've been waiting for it to arrive hoping that it will have ambient lighting comparable to the Mercedes and Audi. But I was sadly disappointed when I saw how feint it is. With the luminosity at maximum it is still feint. It has only eight colors to chose from while the German competition has many many more color choices. It has no ambient lighting strips on the back doors and on the center console. It does not let you run the color changing theme while you drive at all. Wow! It can run only one color at a time in all places, while the German cars can run two or three colors at the same time and has lighting strips everywhere. What is wrong with GM???? Ambient lighting is so cheap to make and they cannot do it? You can find better ambient lighting on Amazon for 150 dollars. Please GM start making this ambient lighting comparable to the German competition, or I will stop buying Cadillac ever. This is my third Cadillac Escalade Platinum I owned and I am very disappointed.
