Amsterdam has one off the most unique city environments to explore featuring beautiful Dutch architecture, countless canals that feel like they were pulled from a fairy tale and countless cafes, shops, artworks and more to explore. Me in April 2nd week
im going in june-july:))) stay safe and have fun
It was on my bucket list too! I visited this month and loved it, I'm sure you will too!
I have some tips on my channel too 😀
Just found this video... I enjoyed revisiting Amsterdam through it, nicely put together! 😀
Me in May
RE: Anne Frank House--tickets go on sale on Tuesdays for the week six weeks in advance. When I booked on a Wednesday morning, almost all the tickets were gone, except for those at the last entry time. I suggest be ready to book very first thing when the tickets go on sale to get your best selection. I am going in early May (not height of summer). Thanks for all the other great suggestions!
Thanks for the details on how to get tickets!
Great video, content and really like your approach/descriptions and camera technique!!! 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻😁
Thanks so much!
Excellent video, thanks for sharing, I’ll be visiting the city by the end of April
That's exciting, I hope you have a great time in Amsterdam.
Thanks! Very informative. I’ll visit the city in a couple of days for an extended weekend, and this was very helpful.
Thank you and have a great time in Amsterdam!
Wow so informative! Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tour.
Don't miss the Van Gogh Museum. Another impressive indoor space is the public library, within walking distance of the Centraal station.
I've been to Amsterdam 3 times; it's my favorite city. The reason I went there for the first time was to see the Van Gogh Museum, which I adore, and which, for me, is the most exciting attraction in all of Amsterdam. I chose that as the highlight of my 65th birthday celebration in 2021, my most recent visit. Everywhere I went, the locals were kind enough to help me celebrate. I don't have any plans for travel anytime soon, but I do hope to get there at least once more before I shut down my list of dreams waiting to be realized!
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences in Amsterdam. I had the Van Gogh museum on my original itinerary but I didn't think to buy tickets in advance so unfortunately when I arrived an learned I needed to reserve a time I found out the next available time was after I had to leave the city. But at least I have a good reason to go back!
@@DomanationTravelsThat's what happened to me re the Anne Frank House. If and as soon as I make plans to go again, I'll go ahead and book a ticket for Anne Frank if it's available. The canal cruise that I boarded just in front of that museum was great, so at least I know how to find it!
I’m going April 9th can’t wait!
Thank you for this
Have a great trip
Thank you very much for this stuff!!! Big Like to you!

Thank you very much!
Great video and i enjoy it ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
The statue in Vondelpark is a Picasso not a Van Gogh. Glad you enjoyed yourself, Amsterdam is an amazing city!
ahhh that's right! I'm not sure why I said Van Gogh instead of Picasso.. good catch.
The statue is the 1965 , abstract. And yes, it is a Picasso
LOVE your approach and set-up of the vid !
B.t.w. the stadhuis (now royal palace) is classicist of the early 16-hundreds. The term 'neo-classicism' is mostly from the 19th-century.
🌹
Thank you very much! and also for clarifying the the architecture style.
Hello from Saskatoon. On our way in a couple of months and your video was very helpful. Well done.
Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy your trip!

that was a really interesting video: i went to amsterdam for 3 days a few years ago; but was very interested in all the different places you went: thankyou
Thank you for sharing
Great video! I stayed in Alkmaar and visited Amsterdam for 3 days as well. I also did a video on it but the weather in your videos looks amazing! Was it sunny the whole time? I went in the Autumn so it wasn’t quite as dry! 👍
Thanks so much. I visited in July so the weather was perfect! Will check out your video too.
Great video 😊
Thanks! 😊
I visited Amsterdam in October. It was a lovely city.
How was visiting Amsterdam in October?
Its one of my dreams to visit amsterdam
Hopefully it won't be long before you can visit!
very nice and informative video, i have saved the palces for my visit on 6th april
Thank you very much, have a wonderful trip!
……arriving in Amsterdam in August. Looking forward!!
Awesome, have a great trip!
Thanks for this great guide! I was just wondering how did you manage to get a reduced price for the A'dam Lookout?
Thanks for watching. On their website the tickets are sometimes available at a cheaper price than buying them in person. I check just now and it's not quite as cheap as when I visited but they still offer a small reduction.
Thank you I’m going tomorow !
Have a great trip!
Amsterdam is on my bucket list. Great video btw
Thank you very much, I hope you are able to visit sometime in the near future!
It is a very worthy city to be on your bucket list! Hope you visit us soon!
@@completeamsterdam ❤❤❤
Nice, travelling soon in the future. Hope everything will be okay.🎉
Have a great trip!
Been there four times to party And be a bit cutural... Love it!
That's amazing you get to keep coming back
Thank you for the tour. do you recommend buying the I Amsterdam Card for a 3-day travel? If no, how did you go around (i.e., public transportation)?
Thanks for watching. I think for my trip that Amsterdam Card would not end up being worth it but I need to crunch the numbers a bit more. I think if your itinerary is very heavy on museums it may make sense but I don't think it covers Anne Frank House or the Van Gogh museum. I got around on public transportation and purchased day passes (except for the day I rented a bike and used the bike to get around everywhere).
Wow...nice video....take me to Ireland
It would be a dream to visit Ireland! One day I hope.
Unforgettable experience I had in 2019.
Thank you for sharing, glad to hear you had a great time.
Is this Copenhagen from aliexpress?
I approve of this massage
Just returned from an Amsterdam trip. Watched this video to See if I missed something. I couldn't agree more with yllari7577!
I really wanna come back. But I hate moving. I will visit when the little Dutch Girl is Seven. Nemo Museum ❤
Moving is always hard work, hope you get to visit in the not too distant future

ich war leider noch niemals in amsterdam aber es interessiert mich welcome to amsterdam😊
It's a great city to visit!
"The most fun city in the world". probably true.
Absolutely
As someone who’s seriously looking into traveling internationally for the first time this year would you recommend this as a good starting place? And if so how was getting around without knowing Dutch?
Thanks for the great question. Amsterdam is a really easy place to travel for your first international journey. Almost everybody is able to speak English just fine and English is also used for a lot of signs.
Depends so much on what you like. Amsterdam is great, most people speak English, but expect tourist proces. How many days are you going to stay?
@@rienkhoek4169 I’m trying to plan a 10 day trip with the days split between Amsterdam and Berlin.
@@rienkhoek4169 although I do like more local places so other recommendations are welcome!
Our first international trip was to Portugal. It was amazing and we’re ready to go back. The people are very friendly, most speak English and we found it affordable in the off season. We’re headed to Amsterdam next month.
We (people) will be in Amsterdam in late April 2024. The hotel in Amsterdam is so expensive. Could you recommend the hotel in Haarlem? Is it easy to travel back and forth between Haarlem to Amsterdam and the airport? ( I have an early flight departure flight in the morning) Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your questions. I stayed at Bed & Breakfast Hotel Malts, they were very friendly and offered a lot of great advice about Haarlem. Travelling to Amsterdam from Haarlem is easy, the train runs every 10-15 min and then it's about 10 min walk to the hotel. From Haarlem to the airport there is a bus service that we pretty convenient. The Hotel owners gave me information about it. I don't know how early the bus runs so as a back up you might need to train to Amsterdam and then transfer to a train that goes to the airport or just take a taxi. I hope this helps.
@@DomanationTravels Thank You!! Should I buy the 2 or 3-day regional ticket? because of this travel back and forth. I will be in Haarlem 3 night and 2 days
@@timnguyen1925 I'm also doing research before visiting Amsterdam and I think the regional ticket would be a good choice for you to travel between Amsterdam and Haarlem.
The sculpture in Vondelpark is by Picasso.
👏🏼
Thank you
What are those balls you’re snacking on with your beer? 5:29
Those are Bitterballen, a Dutch snack.
Josh Sweeting meet me in this city one day. It'd be cool to smoke some kush with you. Your shades are like a Phoenix.

what month did you visit?
Thank you for watching, we visited in July
Where are the cheapest places in Amsterdam to buy souvenirs like magnets or keychains or any other small souvenirs like small or tiny wooden shoes or windmills statues? Are there any souvenirs for 1 Euro like keychains? Are postcards cheap there? We will be staying in a hotel near the Central Station. Thanks for your assistance.
Also, where can you get change for the penny machines? When we went to Rome last year, it was hard to get change and they made you buy something. One vendor yelled at us for trying to buy items separately to get more change. We are hoping Amsterdam will not be like that.
Thank you for watching! To be honest I didn't buy any the souvenirs so I am not sure where the cheapest place will be. But if you are staying in the central city you will run into a lot of souvenir shops so I am sure it won't be too hard to find something that fits your budget. I'm also not sure about penny machines since I didn't try that either. Sorry to hear that you had that experience in Rome and I hope it is much more pleasant in Amsterdam!
@@DomanationTravels Thanks for your reply. We were just inquiring if businesses give change because it was hard to get change in Rome. Businesses in Rome were unwilling to give us change and told us to buy things, but we weren't getting enough change still to get the elongated pressed/smashed pennies. We were wondering if businesses in Amsterdam would or who would? Thanks.
👍👍👍💗🙂
Thank you!

3 things to do in Amsterdam 1. Leave 2. Never go back 3. Tell all your friends at home how bad it smells there
Showing the viewer you face, eating ,drinking...that is teasing .Not the way to do it.
The Greatest Rip off City in Europe.

That’s too bad for you, the world is meant to be explored, or do you think you own Amsterdam?😂
Too MANY tourists, Nice try though but keep practicing. 😂
@@MrM0j0Risin27 Tourism is changing the city center for the worst and driving away the original residents. Amsterdam is becoming an amusementpark for visitors. Is that what you want?
