- Cameraman Cam and myself go head-to-head on back-to-back jump section to see the difference between a pro rider and your average joe (sorry Cam)! Then I give some tips to Cam to improve upon the section. This is episode 6 of a new mini-series called Pro Vs Am

I like how Cam gives us a 'non professional rider' voice to learn with you.
He gives the voice to the rider that can't live MX 24/7 ("well how would you do it, mr professional?") It was quirky, but a legitimate angle - us non pros don't have the level of training you do, so it might help bring out questions you wouldn't think to teach on!
Thank you! Another great video!
100%
"Yep that's it guys I'm going home" hahaha loved this vid and this series!
Haha thanks!
😂
@@AjCatanzaro Hii AJ/😀🇧🇷
AJ “Honestly it’s easier to just jump the 8,000 foot gap”
Cam “I’ll take your word on it”
😂😂
I felt my stomach drop when AJ didn’t let off going up the face, then as I watched him launch to the moon I just started laughing. Dude absolutely sent it
I seriously can't thank you guys enough for putting out so much awesome content! The amount I have learned and the overall entertainment value, gotta be one of the best moto channels out there!
Thanks so much!
Not one of! The best and certainly most entertaining!
Man, that's one big leap. Once I saw the jumps I was wondering if anyone cleared both, and AJ gave me an answer!
I was also agonizing over a jump I 100% knew I could make a couple weeks ago and finally did it. Same as Cam, greased it first try. What a feeling!
Then I was mad I didn't do it sooner haha.
thats how it always is with bigger ones it seems like. last month i hit this 80 ft step up thats got a big take off and i cane up short first time hurt pretty good. after that it took even more to hit it the second time then i did and cleared it 3rd gear all but at the revlimiter on a 450 to clear it
We need a permanent series of this!!!
We got you!
Love this series. I learn so much, perfect
So good! Content is getting better and better! Always look forward to these.
I second that
Thanks!
I absolutely love these videos! So informative and fun to watch, keep it up guys
Yes it looked massive, holy cow brother!! Dude that quad came out of no where and blewww me away!!! I watched that like 3x, lol #Alberts Leap, love it. And those were some sweet kids, nice group!
😬😬😬
You should have been there! It was awesome!
Awesome slow-mos! I take something away from every single video.. and it's so much fun to watch, too!! Thank you!
Fun vid. Great job both of you...actually especially Cam 😉😜
😉
Omg !!! Best one yet !!! Your students in the end …so awesome such a great vibe from their excitement !! You should end them all like that so we can see those amazing kids ♥️♥️
Cams to good now, need to add a 3rd C level rider .
Like the video you guys made testing out the yz250f and Kx250f .
Loving the videos
I agree!!
For everybody’s info that jump is waaay bigger in person the camera doesn’t do justice
I agree
Cameron Bushey kips got it alll day next time😂
It’s definitely huge air when he clears that 140ish feet!
This is the best series ever. Thanks Cameraman Cam aaand AJ.
Could You please make video about how to deal with side kick on jumps?
We, amateur weekend warrios, tend to freeze whenever something goes sideways while jumping.
Thank You.
Are you talking about how to land a whip that you didn't intend to throw? I'm curious too after an, um, incident recently!
Living the dream, teaching kids to ride, could there be a better job on earth!
Pretty cool. Good size leap, especially with that uphill corner before it. Like you said, it's all about the commitment.
Yes brother it looks big on the camera. Real big!
Haha it felt pretty big!
Love you aj I’m getting back into moto bc I got the boys into it and these vids help me relearn. Thanks god bless
That leap would scare the crap outta me lol
Must feel amazing!!
Woooooow 👍 Great jumping tips. Thanks.
Cheering squad was great. Keep m coming.
That was cool, I genuinely took a double take when aj did it all in one ☝️
This is my favorite series you guys have done. I wish you guys could do a riding school in south west Ohio at East Fork MX.
Awesome Aj , working with the kidos.....
Love the video. Really learning a lot from you guys. Keep the series going.
Another great video AJ. Just got home from riding at Berm Benders here in Minnesota and the first thing I see is a Pro vs Am video.
If only if I had these videos to watch when I was racing, I would have had better technique forsure.
Hey WD sup 🤙🏻
@@djp3819 whats up bro!
Another great pro/am video. Good stuff Superman
AJ: “I’m not gonna be able to do it much better than that [Cam].”
Also AJ: 5:17
🙃
The dude did the same thing tho
These pro vs am videos are 🔥
Love these videos!.
When you say 'Hello' to the jump face and the landing launches you off your bike and says: 'Toodles'!
😂😂😂😂
Great video!!! The quality seems to keep improving too I can’t wait to see more
I love riding that place. That jump is def bigger in person
Albert Joseph, you sir are a good person.
I thought Cam was going to go table-table. But that landing is pretty small. I'd be scared too. Haha.
That was a gnarly 140 ft jump.
What is the best way (points to focus on) to practice trusting that your bike will fly level or slightly nose down when approaching jumps for the first time?
My riding friend and I have the same lack of confidence on taking big uphill tabletop jumps at Glen Helen. You’re traveling uphill for so long it just seems hard to find the right body position approaching the take off.
Good to see the suzuki being sent 140 feet 🙌
Very cool video!!
The Suzuki looks really good and the new outro music is really cool too :)
That was just too cool. Fun times 👍
That was awesome 🤣🙏🏻 I thought that AJ would sort of triple this thing, but a quad???!!! God status 🥷🤣
That quad was fucking insane
Aj. I ride with Michigan Vintage Mx, Some of us are flagging at Red Bud over the 4th weekend. Hope to see you there and get a hello in.
5:20. Holy shit that was a huge send 😳
That was insaaaaane
Sometimes it’s not necessarily the size or type of jump that is sketchy, its the other factors. Like when I crashed at Club Moto MX and ended up in the ICU with a broken collarbone, broken rib, punctured lung which collapsed, and a destroyed left foot (my toes were pointed towards the ground). It wasn’t the big doubles/triples, step ups, or step downs. It was the big table top by the road. I never felt good jumping it even though I was jumping it all day. It was a 4th gear jump but it was sketchy because I would get huge gusts of wind when hitting it that would push me pretty hard every time I hit it. Last lap of the day (never go out for last laps or last rides) and I ignored my gut instinct which was telling me don’t hit the jump but I sent it anyways and the wind blew my bike sideways and I slammed on my left side hard and got flash knocked out. I think I hit and got knocked out, then woke up when my head hit the ground the 2nd time
AJ, thanks for all of the great content. I have a question: do you pull in the clutch if you were to (rear) brake tap it?
sick
That was a confidence builder when you said oh a kid broke his famer at one of my classes
Look fun as hell !
Aw man I wanted to see Cam send it and quad that
Great video, Love those Step Up MX graphics on the Suzuki
Yeah boys great vid enjoyed it 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌😊
Beautiful Suzuki
you deserve more subscribers
Thanks!!
"Fast Al"...... I coined it. Calling it now 😁
Supp aj I was just wondering why you're not doing the outdoors season???
Bro jaw dropped at 5:13
Great content AJ. I’ve never liked Suzuki but that’s a nice looking bike. In your opinion, how much does the weight of the rider matter? I’m about 230 lbs. I’ve got about 15 years of riding but not consistent riding and never on a track. I’d like to start doing some track riding. Btw I’m on a YZ250F and a YZ426F. Thanks
Love it! great series!!! Also AJ, need your help... I crashed on a jump with a steep landing and KO'd myself... landed sideways right on the lip of the landing, how do you get back into jumping with confidence??
Damn didn’t think the sususki could do that but anything can happen
That's awesome. Someday I'm gonna hit one that length. :)
When are you coming to chilliwack at Popkum race track
Nice fellas.. see you guys one day
Anyone notice the elbows on AJ compared to Cam on the corner before the jump? Well plus a bit of body position but first thing I noticed when I saw him in slow motion. Is the next one gonna be the quad?
That was awesome guys!
The thing scary about jumps I've not jumped yet is I'm afraid of getting kicked sideways.
Riding a tall gear, being smooth, and having good neutral body position will stop that from happening!
Watch out for wind also. I ended up in ICU with a broken collarbone, broken rib, punctured lung that collapsed, and many bones and joints in my left foot being pulverized because I ignited my gut instinct and the wind blew my back end sideways. It was a big table top (4th gear pretty high rpm on a YZ250) but because of where it was on the hill, it would get big gusts of wind. I’m talking hitting the jump on the right side and landing on the left.
Cool stuff. Wonder how it would look different from a top 5 pro? Staying lower and getting on the throttle even sooner?
It wouldn’t look any different. Without sounding cocky, the difference between a top 5 rider and myself on any given section would be unrecognizable
This is awesome, makes me feel so AM lol cause I is!!!
8:05 "four stroke riders always spreading their cheeks"
Hey AJ how was the RMZ? I'm looking to buy one
Cam looking fly!
I was gonna say just do the whole gap!!!!! 🙏🏻
Are you going to mx express in the end of august , because I am going
Yes!! See you there
that suzuki looks awsome
Lol when you sent it I was like wtf
I bet u had some skid marks in your pants after that 1st jump lol
Iv just started riding again after ten years.. wish I had this advice back then. His riding skills only surpassed by his personality.. my question is how would it be if he landed on the table top/cased the whole thing?
What did you think of the suzuki?
Does cam not know how to break tap cause he is wayyy better at jumps than i am and im too scared to jump because i dont know how to brake tap
The footage doesn’t do that section justice for how difficult it can be!
I want to race cam if you ever come to California I challenge you cam to a race lol
Maryland major restrictions on freedom.?
I still wonder if nose down is the way to case it…
NEXT WHOOPS SECTION PRO VS. AM🤙
Aj on rm-z?
Title sums it up well..lol. You mentioned you were WOT, assume that's a 450. Curious what gear though, 3rd? Looked sweet!
Probably 4th
Surprisingly 4th. Which was hard to get to going uphill like that
@@AjCatanzaro Yeah, I can imagine, that's absolutely hauling. Thanks man!
AJ on a Suzuki now? or is it a borrowed bike?
nm
Hahaha “If I land on a kid it’s on them”
I landed on a drunk guy that decided to walk across our practice track one time. Not a fun experience!
That Suzuki looks sweet. AJ you look better on a Suzuki.
Rmz was a 250 or 450?
450
Hope he is ok 🙏🏾
What's cam's CZcams?
Bro how did that Suzuki feel ?
When did you change to Suzuki ?
He was lent it for the day by a dealer.
Albert Larocco catanzero reporting for duty
😂😂
Are we just going to ignore Cams Fox helmet/Oneal pants/jersey combo?
He’s a poser 😬😂
@@AjCatanzaro Well you’re a meany face
