I think that Skizzleman is a 95% chance as Impulse let a major slip out when playing Xisuma's 'only false answers' quiz. The question was 'Who isn't joining Hermitcraft next season', to which Imp very quickly answered 'Skizz'. He then remembered the rules of the game, said 'Gosh, darn it' very loudly and tried to backtrack 🤔
Oh interesting!! That was quite a bit ago too, very interesting.
I think that reaction was more that Impulse realized he was saying something kind of mean about Skizz. Skizz has talked about the possibility with Impulse on their podcast sometimes. Skizz said it would be a big leap to go full-time and he thinks that's what kind of time commitment it would take for him to be a hermit. And he has a family and everything and it just might not be the right thing for them.
Same for LogicalGeekBoy. Xisuma asked Docm77 to answer the questions wrong and in the who will be next to join hermitcraft Doc answered LogicalGeekBoy and at the top it said "Who knows." That means the Hermit named "Who" knows Skizz and Logic is joining Hermitcraft.

I think the number one takeaway from all of this is never let Impulse talk about anything you want to keep a secret because that man is a horrible liar.

I've heard a lot of talk recently from various Hermits about how Hermitcraft doesn't need to be "all about the mega-bases". That makes me more hopeful that there could be a place on the server for Skizz. I could see him focusing much more on interaction with other players rather than big builds. Personally, I think it would be funny if he played that up by basically "crashing on Impulse's couch", and not even bothering to build a base. Similar to how Cub rented Scar's "basement" in S9 so he could direct his energy to other projects like Total Chaos.
I could have spent twenty minutes just talking about mega bases! Lots of hermits discussed it and yea, many of them want to focus on smaller stuff. Hopefully people like Jimmy and Skizz could succeed there with this new mindset
When you look at the Life Series, you can see how small builds can make a server beautiful. It'd be great to see Hermit reproduce a similar vibes with mega-bases being multi-Hermit projects
there are plenty of hermits who already dont pertain much to the megabase concept, it would be amazing to have someone like skizz on the server
There’s been so much anti mega base talk from hermits that either one or two things have happened.
1- creators are getting bullied by viewers for having too much negative space because the builds are so large (a couple hermits mentioned hearing this from people)
OR
2- the hermits have already made plans and will be building in a community or something like that.
I think season 10 is going to shift gears and focus on new ideas (like having interactive bases to give hermits reasons to visit each other) and we might see a short season like season 8 because of it.
@@molecoidyeah I think if the whole server works on the one omega base like it seems has a high chance of happening, I think it could open the door for a few people to contribute less to the base, and more to just having fun and doing shenanigans
I think it should be Skizz joining. He would fit perfectly in the cast and bring alot of life to server (and some terrible builds😂) otherwise Joel and Lizzie as a pair because they're both incredible builders

Lizzie and Joel as a pair is likely but not guaranteed as we saw in 3rd life that Joel played but Lizzie didnt.

I had no clue that the crossover event wasn't well received (before Grian mentioned this fact in his video). I absolutely loved it, and I was hoping to see a similar event next season.
Some people were mad that the hermits built a load of farms on empires which already existed

It wasn’t my thing. I liked Docs vid on it, where he goes through, walks around and explores, then was like ok I’m homesick how do I get home lol it was cool to see, but the staying and building was boring to me. It also wasn’t a big deal though, I just skipped those videos
I liked the first part when small groups of Hermits helped different Empires.
I really disliked it when they built their own Empire. I don't know why but it felt so off.
Thankfully there was scar and his contribution to Jimmy's Empire. That was the part I enjoyed the most.
I didn’t like the crossover. Roleplaying stuff like that just isn’t my vibe and a few of the players were pretty cringe to me. But I respect that they enjoy that kind of stuff and have fun doing it. Just not my thing at all. I was happy when it was over. I kinda skipped over most of that part of the season.

how did people NOT receive the empires crossover well? what! i hadn’t even seen a singular episode of empires before the crossover and i don’t especially care about any of them as creators but it was sooooooo good?
Some other comments have highlighted on this, it seems different populations reacted differently. Great to hear someone who wasn’t into empires enjoyed it though!!
And not just the crossover, I liked anytime they had guests on for special events like the charity event and the Decked Out game day. Even when Doc just toured around with some of his friends. I hope that is something we see more of in the next season - more guests.
Some ppl (not me) didn't like how there were ppl who they had never watched on the SMP they watch
The crossover was amazing. It was apparently the Hermitcraft subreddit that really threw a tantrum over it. Basically, it was a lot of fussing over the crossover "distracting" the Hermits from what's "really" important. Blah, blah, blah.
A lot of people, including me, had never even heard of most of the members of Empires. The only ones I knew were Pixlriffs, Gem and False. This was the case or a lot of viewers. Over on the Hermitcraft subreddit, it was pretty heavy with negative comments stating how they can't wait for it to be over and the how they hate the heavy role-playing of Empires. Empires was also quite a bit more modded than Hermitcraft is which people also didn't like.
I think Joel and Skizz are likely, as do many people here but I'd really love to see Martyn.
Yes, he's openly admitted to not being great at building but with the ideas of megabases being scaled back that opens up a better environment for him to focus on interactions, and is seen potentially the most with other hermits, not only in the life series and the decked out stream but also being (I think) the ONLY non-hermit in the charity stream hosted by Scar about a year ago, as well as being friendly with many hermits such as Ren, Grian, e.t.c...
Being 100% realistic I don't think it's as likely as Joel and Skizz but I think he'd be a really underrated option for a new member

I 100% want skizz and Joel but I agree and think Martyn would add something so great to hermitcraft. He’s so creative and funny and I would love to see him join!

My potential Hermit predictions are Lizzie and Joel together, and Skizz. I think they mesh well with the Hermits, have worked with them plenty in the past, and could be interested in joining.
I think Lizzie and Joel are more likely just because Skizz isn’t a full-time content creator yet and so may not have the time.
But I would love for Skizz to join, especially if it enabled him to make the jump to full-time content creator. He's talked a bunch about how he wants to create content full-time in the Imp and Skizz podcast.

Joel yes but Lizzie hardly ever uploads any series she's in and I honestly don't think she could handle something as big as Hermitcraft.
@OverWims I think she could handle it, she just wouldn't post as often as Hermits like Cub or Doc.
@@_ItBeMe_ she would probably upload the least of any hermit. She hardly ever uploads and anything she does is always reduced content. Even her secret life episodes were only like 10 mins long. She clearly uploads for fun and doesnt consider it a job. Joel definitely does. Lizzie would either not upload enough or try to match other hermits and be put way out of her comfort zone and ability.
This seems most likely to me. My major concern with skizz is that he’d feel overwhelmed or face burn out easily because of the huge bases hermits make.
Imagine if Pix gets added, he’d have to recap himself!
Technically he did when he went into the hermitcraft server for the first time where grian played the intro
And it's for that reason that Pix has said many times that he WON'T join Hermitcraft because them doing the recap would be weird.

I want joel to join so badly, years ago I remember him building something and talking about scar building natural things and how he loves his build style and it actually made me watch hermitcraft for the first time (I think he also complemented hermitcraft builds in general). I honestly think he is the best builder not already on the server (personal preference and I dont know everybody) but he is also chaotic and fun for content. It feels like a fun full circle moment from admiring the hermit builds to becoming one. Obviously, his builds take ages and he may not be interested but if he is I think it would be amazing.
I also think he fits in well with hermits seen in the life series, the 100 hours of hardcore minecraft series, the crossovers, mcc and more.
But if he doesn't join I so understand! It seems like a huge commitment and it sounds they want a lot of change which may not include or appeal to him.
omg i SO agree, i remember like almost four years ago he did a q and a and one asked who his favourite youtuber was (or something like that) and he said grian 😭😭 i am SO hoping for joel to join, especially as a veteran viewer who watched him before + all through his building progression from relying on deco mods and such to his INSANE vanilla builds now!!
The fact that he was in the evo smp with grian and perl would probably help with that

I think a lot of the hate for the crossover came from Reddit. For some reason, the people on the Hermitcraft sub *haaaaated* the crossover. It seems like they felt it distracted a good chunk of the Hermits from what these "fans" felt was important. Which, personally, I think is BS. What's important when it comes to Hermitcraft is watching the Hermits have fun. And that's what they did. It injected a whole bunch of new possibilities into the server and revitalized it.
And oh my lord, if fWhip joined, I would be in heaven. I'm not a huge fan of watching role-playing (it's fine, so I still watched, but it's not my favorite thing), but I've been a fan of fWhip for years, even before I started watching Hermitcraft. fWhip was basically my entry into watching MCYT videos. So, to combine those things by bringing fWhip in would be amazing.

@@molecoid Yeah, I'm starting to think joining subreddits for the SMPs I watch was a mistake on my part, because there's a lot of stuff I read on there that bothers me. Too many people who treat the content creators like their own *personal* entertainment, as if their entire job is to entertain that one person, and if they don't do it right, the viewer throws a tantrum and declares that the content creators ruined everything. I hate it.
i wish youtubers would stop looking at reddit to gage fan opinions. the reddit community seems to dislike 'lore' and storytelling, but tumblr and twitter go wild for it
@@ms_scribblesI think fwhip would be great on hermitcraft. Unfortunately I believe he said in a live some time during empires that he wouldn’t prefer to be on an smp as big as hermitcraft as he prefers smps with fewer members. It’s been over a year since I heard him talk about it though (tough I don’t often tune in to lives so maybe he’s brought it up more since) so maybe there’s a chance he’s changed his mind idk.

The biggest thing the Hermits are looking for when it comes to adding new members is how the new members mesh with the current ones. I think this is where Skizz especially can shine. He is especially good friends with Impulse and Tango, and has developed a good relationship with all the Hermits that also participate in the Life series, along with playing Phasmo and other games with Grian, Gem and Scar recently.
He also has a leadership and charismatic quality that I think can really benefit Hermitcraft. If something needs to be done, he can make it happen and he can get everyone together to help get it done.
On top of that, he is very adaptable and capable of rising to the challenge. By his own admission, when he started the Life series, he wasn't very good at interacting with the other members, but that didn't stop him. He learned what he needed to do and changed his approach to the point where he is now one of the most entertaining viewpoints to watch in the series. I feel like something similar can happen in Hermitcraft.
Even more, he has a level of chaotic energy that I feel like the server has been, not quite missing, but been lacking more recently. There is still of course some chaos to be had, think Scar and Grian blowing up Docs tunnel bore and Ren the King's arc, but those still feel more tame compared to things like the Season 6 Civil War or Season 7 Mycelium Resistance, or heck, even the moon crash of Season 8 to a certain extent. I think the Hermits have become too mature to want to dabble in those kinds of arcs to that extent, but Skizz I feel like would be more than happy to set off a series of events that can lead to complete chaos across the server in the best way possible.
In any case, I think Skizz can really help breathe new life into Hermitcraft in much the same way Grian did when he joined in Season 6. It may be wishful thinking, but I really hope Skizz joins for Season 10.
As someone who watched the Cube SMP and Harmony Hollow way back in the day, I would LOVE to see HBomb and Shubble on Hermitcraft

i’ve been suspecting joel for a WHILE. not only do u see his dynamic with other hermits not only in his episodes but other HERMITS episodes. On Grian’s second channel where it was titled something like Among us with Hermits, joel was one of the only non hermits to be playing with all of them. plus i seriously want him in hermitcraft since he genuinely loves the amp too
another thing is like i think non-hermit life smp members was way likely to join since they’ve had 6 seasons of interactions with each other with joel having an alliance with all hermits too in s6 and Lizzie having loads of interactions with mainly hermits in her limited 2 seasons
5 seasons there's only been five seasons so far though there is a Sixth one allegedly on the way
Would love to see a lot of these people join but in relation to 'poor building skills,' I think it will force people to up their game. If you think back to previous HC series, lots of existing members weren't always so accomplished
Very true! When I went back and watched scars season 4 it was crazy how far he’s come.
Cleo, Tango and Jevin have majorly upped their build skills too
Look at how Tango has evolved over the seasons.
@@dannyfowler9755 Tango has always been a much better builder than he admits, his bases on seasons 4 and 5 were all really impressive. Completely agree on Cleo and Jevin though, they've massively levelled up.
Maybe it will lead to Skizz being able to remember what a zombie looks like and build it!
For Martyn, Jimmy has stated that if he joins another SMP he would try and drag Martyn with him.

it’d be fun to have all three(Martyn, Jimmy and Grian) to continue the Watcher lore and such, but sadly this will probably not happen because most lore is server-wide.

My friend group was discussing this and we got talking about how impulse, tango, and others were raiding Pearl and Gem on twitch a bunch prior to them joining. (Seemingly out of nowhere)
Normally hermits only raid other hermits aside from Skizz and Joker. So it seemed out of place when raiding Gem and Pearl.
Two people we thought of who have been getting similar treatment from the Hermits recently is Taneesha and Linkzzey. It’s not a lot of evidence but just wanted to throw a couple more names out there :)
Oh interesting! I do feel like the hermits know a lot more people on twitch who are family friendly now which helps (as opposed to s8 time) but that is definitely something.
I would love to see a main island with districts like in Season 6. Voice Chat mod would also make for funny moments.

My top prediction right now would be HBomb. This may be controversial but I rather the new hermit be someone who doesn’t know the other hermits fully. Gem and Pearl barely knew any hermits when they joined and now look at their friendships. It feels a bit too easy if Joel or Lizzie join. The only exception is Skizz since people think he’s a hermit already.
Pearl was a close friend of Grians before joining, they had just done a megabuild collab and worked on smps together but agree on Gem! While it might be easy it might also be nice, we will just have to see!
I thought Hbomb too he has collabed alot with hermits and he was invited too play decked out
@@molecoid pearl was actually one of the builders who helped alot with grian's old build tutorials. It wasn't just one project.

Manifesting Joel and/or Skizz. Please it would be so funny. Please. I'd love to see the Joel shenanigans and Skizz would also bring so much fun to the server. Bonus points if Lizzie also joins.
I think if Skizz joined Hermitcraft he could do it. One of the main reasons he doesn't spend as much time with buidiling is because he priortizes spending time with his friends like in the life series or naked & scared with Impulse and other collabs because he has a full time job outside of Minecraft. He has often expressed that he has to put his kids through college and make sure his family is secure financially but that his job is a major stress factor and he wishes more than anything that he could play Minecraft full time. I think this could be the push. Plus as someone who watches Impulse regularly for the last 2 years, that clip of him is sooooooo telling. I feel like this is it, it's Skizz's time. At least I really hope so because he deserves it and everyone on hermitcraft already loves him so much.

I didnt mind the crossover event. I think the life series helped me on that front as an introduction to a lot of these new creators I wouldnt have found on my own. I think a merger would be interesting as it has been fun seeing these different pairings during the life events. Just thinking about all the good memories i have from the different pairings (SmallEtho, the mounders, gem and the scotts, the bad boys) makes me excited for what could come if they did try to fully merge. Andy's coming was probably my favorite S9 moment.

The life series means so much because it's from different smps if it was just hermitcraft and marytin, skizz, and big b it would really be lacking. When looking at who they add they have different ideas and personalities and some empires people have more overlaping personalities. Empires has a younger audience so when the crossover happened the older hermitcraft audience got mad. I don't think the hermits would want hate going towards those empires people.
The EVO/Rift logo appeared in Mythical Sausage's recent hardcore episode. He just said that it was weird and that he did not put it there and then moved on. It sounded a lot like "Is the moon big?" Also did anyone else notice that Grumbot reopened the rift to send Grian to session 10? I think it is intersting to look at the parrels between the story telling of EVO, Hermitcraft, and Empires after Grian left EVO to join Hermitcraft and after Solidarity joined Empires. A lot of the multiverse lore was established in EVO and the Rift is the O in the EVO logo.
Don't forget that Evo lore had a bit of a resurgence after Martyn started doing the Eye and Ears AU stuff in the Life Series

Solidarity and Martyn Inthelittlewood have already said they are not joining hermitcraft on stream. And Joey is going to be busy making his escape the night movie.
I’m sure they did lol, that doesn’t always mean it’s true. People can lie on the internet and wait for specific moments to bring stuff up.
@@molecoid I think when Martin did his Lore stream after Limited Life, someone in his chat asked “Now that you have shown your building skills with the hourglass, are you ready to join a long term SMP” or something like that. Martyn said that he wasn’t going to join a long term SMP for a long time if ever.
I personaly would love if they recruit an individual MC content creator. Like Wattles, Wumba. Or even a redstoner, because they haven't add a new redstoner in a while, so Logic would be perfect. Also, because this is the 10 Hermitcraft, i also would love them to add someone from the comunity to celebrate this decade of hermitcraft. Maybe someone from they own personal server, or someone who help them in the background

Prediction on coming in late: on the matter of Tango. Sir loves his streams so much. Even with the scale of DO2, I don’t think he’ll get so burnt out that he has to leave. At the very least, I think he’ll do a 3rd edition of create mod, especially since he likes the mod and so many people want it to come back.
I also think there will be a bit of a break before season 10 like there was last season (maybe not as long, but who knows). It seemed to be good for the hermits last time. Since so many are talking about descaling projects, I think that will help combat heavy burnout. (The idea that they are reinforcing as a group: “less is more”, putting less pressure on themselves will lead to healthier mindsets, leading to more motivation and a healthy work/life balance. And for those working on a variety of projects, I think that’ll help too.) (for this reason, I think Tango’s break is going on right now, and he’ll join “on time” with the rest of the hermits. He hasn’t been streaming over the holidays, and if my prediction of later start of season is right, then I don’t think his break will overlap with the start of season 10.)
What I’ve noticed with hermits burnout (and what they did about it):
1. They lost a passion for Hermitcraft/Minecraft (Iskall - Modded, Wels and xB - other games)
2. Got bored from the length of the series (many hermits, took a break, some played some other mini-series)
3. Got overwhelmed with the hustle + perfectionism (Mumbo - hobbies + other job opportunities, Xisuma - short break + new mindsets for a slower season 10)
I think for some of them, these categories overlapped. Most of them came back/considered coming back with new mindsets for the next season. If anyone leaves or takes another extended break, I see it being Wels (second time he’s burnt out with MC stuff) and xB, given things they’ve said in the past. I think Iskall will divide his time between HC and vault hunters, as his passion is for modded.
Very well articulated! I agree about Tango but just wanted to put it out there, I watch almost every stream of his and he really has spoke about needing a break after decked out. I’m predicting a February start for season 10, so you’re right that that’s probably enough time.
@@molecoid I'm thinking late February, early March since the Hermitcraft Vault Hunters thing doesn't end until some time late January.

@@JacksonOwex Fair enough (though he did post 16 episodes over a 6 month span, so he wasn't necessarily "on break during season 8" but I see you point)
It just comes down to the fact that he may be moving on from that sort of content. He may (probably) still stick around on Hermitcraft, but it may (probably) also become just a more hobby series, an episode here and there as he likes it, in the midst of other games/content.
Xb i think will be very active in season 10. He has the second most season 9 episodes, and only 2 fairly small breaks. I think your exaggerating his second break which was due to vh series
I'm not sure if they still do this, but at one point they had a program that I think Tango wrote that can go through thousands of seeds to find once to try to find one with the desired characteristics. they used it for season 5 because so many people wanted mooshroom islands and Tango wanted to do a quad witch farm so they had to figure out a programmatic way of doing it.
At some point Doc mentioned doing a team up with another hermit in season 10. I'm thinking Cub.
An overarching theme I've heard from several hermits in their last episodes and streams is "togetherness" and "season 6 vibes" so I'm thinking we're going to get a lot of people fairly close to one another like we had in season 6.
Joe said to X in the last HHH stream something about doing base tours more often throughout the season instead of right at the end like they ended up doing in that stream. Hopefully that's something they remember to do maybe once every 3 or 4 months as some sort of stream day.
I personally want to see Skizz, for his chemistry with the other Hermits and potential interactions with Keralis and Doc.
Skizz would be older but with the fellow kids definitely uniting the sever.
(Assumptions, no proof to this statement, just my thoughts): the empires crossover was well received by people in the mcyt fandom, who either are really invested in one series or both. Older viewers (adults, like my parents who watch HC with me) and those who aren’t obsessed and in the fandom, just your average viewer, didn’t care for the crossover as much.
They weren’t involved with the fanart/fanfics/cosplays, didn’t like the roleplay, and just got bored with the length (I did feel the crossover felt drawn out in some ways, but I was very hyped when it first started. JoeHills and TheOrionSound was not a combo I expected but I was very happy with it.)
Just my thoughts. I could be really wrong about this assessment. But we are of the minority of the fanbase at large. Many people don’t obsess over their Minecraft blorbos (rotating them in the palm of our hand) like we do.
Interesting, I think you might be right!! During my research it also seems like Reddit was very critical of it, and the hermits do keep a watch on that page so that’s probably part of it as well.

Well, not all of us older viewers. 😁 Some of us watched both Hermitcraft and Empires, and thought it was a wonderful thing to see two groups you enjoy watching collaborating.

I'll start with the end first.
in Hermits Helping Hermits Cleo told Ren not to live so far away next time, there was also a large group of them and they went around the Soup Group's bases with Gem and loved how the three bases blended together while still being distinctly different, and that got them talking of the future and how they felt inspired by those bases and that there was a lot to learn from it.
Impulse stated that Hermits have understood that Mega isn't the way forward, that fans have been saying that for a long time, and that it has also been hard on the hermits and it's just a bunch of blocks, so it's the interaction that they will be pushing for, and I'll get more into this shortly.
It's been speculated by some that they would do one big megabase like they did with the crossover, but Impulse said he wanted to do a Cyberpunk style, Gem is already working on her mood board for her base ideas, and with Cleo telling Ren not to live so far away, it seems more likely that they will still be making their own individual bases, although maybe on a smaller scale, although many fans do hope that they all live closer together like they did in Season 4 and Season 8.
Anyway, getting back to some things Impulse said and what we might see based off that, Impulse said that Decked Out and TCG were huge successes and that he wanted to do his own big game next season, and if we take what he said in other streams about wanting to work with Tango or someone else on big projects again, I can see Hermits coming together to build large scale games on a faster timescale, and considering some of the most popular content has been those community projects and watching them come together and enjoy those games, I can really see this as where they shift their focus next season.
So, now with that in focus and an idea of what they would be seeking to do next season (more interaction between hermits, closer bases, a move away from 'mega' with a return to smaller bases, but a shift towards community projects and games) we can start to speculate on who they may add as new members.
Jimmy was never really what some would consider 'Hermitcraft material' before as he wasn't a builder, although he has improved a lot, but this shift in direction now makes him a good fit, he's in the same friend circles, and the amount of series and different content he's participated in is insane
Joel and Lizzie both become, for me, the top odds to join, they have the all around qualities that would help push the hermits in a new direction, and like Jimmy, they have many connections with the Hermits already, and also participate in a lot of content
Skizz, while many would love to see him join, Tango and Impulse once addressed this before, Skizz never did enough consistent content, of cause this has changed as he does reliably stream, and he has regular projects and series that he works on as well as the Life series.
He has many friends there and would be a good fit, even if he's not a 'builder', the one reason why he might not join is that even though he would love to be a full time content creator, he's not willing to take that leap as he has responsibilities to his family. So while it is still possible that he could join while still working his job, something many Hermits did for years, the amount of content he currently does, he would likely need to drop something to be able to dedicate enough time to it.
These are definitely the four most likely to join.
I feel like Katherine and Shubble, are a good possibility, they are often in the same smps so it would be likely that they join together

Season 9 had a huge chunk of enormous projects going on, like the soup groups terraforming or Decked Out 2. With the focus now shifting away a little from just getting more and more mega that opens up the way for way more social interaction to take place. With the proximity mod we've already seen a large increase in collabs, and with their bases no longer having to be even more striking than the last (because to be honest, it takes such immense work and you simply can't one-up yourself every season. They are all adults hanging out to have fun, we're just in for the ride.) it opens up the way for new hermits to join just because they mesh well with the group.
I'm really hoping for Skizz, he wouldn't have to prove himself building wise and can just be himself and interact with the hermits. I don't know how busy the guys from Empires are, I don't watch that SMP (but I LOVED the crossover) but I think Joel and Lizzie would be a great addition. I don't know how Jimmy would do on a server like Hermitcraft, but he's quite fun, and Martyn would be great at bringing some fresh new lore if he was to join. He's already proven himself by being the right hand of King Ren and just by the tons of lore he discusses about the Watchers and more.
So, my hopes are:
Skizz for even more fun in social interactions,
Joel and Lizzie with their builds and their humor (especially Joels dry humor sometimes),
Jimmy so Bdubs isn't the only one being called short (we all remember when Scar dug down so he'd be at eye level with him),
And Martyn for LOOOREEE.

I have this gut feeling that we'll see two new Hermits in season 10. My current prediction is Skizz and Joel, though I could be wrong on that... Only time will tell!
Smallishbeans would be amazing! I can see Beans, Grian, and Scar just being the most chaotic trio ever! Also Skizz if he joins he would be either the devil or angel depending on how he woke up that day 😂 both are my top picks

@@thehoodeddogi wouldn't say there's really a split between members based on age they definitely have their groups in a way but most of the hermits i watch interact with lots of people server wide they just have the people they're closer with! also due to the life series people like Joel already know a lot of the older hermits so would probably interact with a range of people
Realistically I think Skizz, Joel, and Jimmy could potentially be new members. They all have been involved in several projects relating to Hermits, and I could see them accepting such an offer. I think they have all proved decent social chemistry with the Hermits they worked with as well.

i agree with this prediction but i will say that as of right now jimmy recently confirmed he has not been invited for season 10 unless the invite is delayed or he was lying
@@thechaosgamer1519 I could easily see anyone who might be joining for S10 having to deny any accusations that they would be joining. I don't know how it went for Gem and Pearl when they joined, it may or may not of been a complete surprise to viewers.
Tim's building skills have rly improved over time every series he's in his builds get better
I think what Grian meant by the cross-over not being well received is simply that people may not be interested in Empire's lore, for example, I watch many hermits, including Geminitay, but I have not watched any Empire episodes and I found it a bit jarring that unknown lore was thrown in my face, I can like the people without liking the heavy lore. With the way Impulse smiled, it makes me think or rather hope that Skizz will join. He might not be a great builder or a great technical player, but his personality fits so well with the group. I don't watch Grian or Zedaph for their talents as builders (of cool structures or contraptions), but for their personality and interactions.

If there is not going to be a new Empire I would love to see Shubble join and Mythical. Hermitcraft could use some storytellers and people who are good at ad-lib reacting and have a great imagination. . Or perhaps some hermits could join the Empires SMP to act out their need to roleplay?
I'm not much into Vault hunters but that also looks like a hermitcraft spinoff that got them to play a game.

My prediction is that there will be an Empires season 3 starting at the same time. But it will be revealed after a couple of weeks that Empires and Hermitcraft are actually both on the same server, but in different locations.

Honestly, the day they streamed the guests playing decked out felt like a screen test/meet and greet for potential new hermits. It gave them an opportunity to see how it felt to work together on the Hermitcraft server and it gave the guests a chance to get feedback from their own community without giving anything away.
Edit to add: i think Lizzie & Joel would be a seamless fit & I'd love to see Martyn let loose on the server. My choices outside the stream day group: LogicalGeekBoy for redstone or BlueNerd for building/survival grind experience.
I forgot about LGB! He hasn't done much for a couple of years though. He briefly came back but quickly disappeared again. He's been having some pretty major problems IRL, there's no telling if he is able to come back right now!

Hear me out, If you watched Grian this season, you would know his lore style. Like when grumbot came from the rift, he still showed him building grumbot, kinda like behind the scenes lore stuff. Oli (theorionsound) On empires did this. With his lore, he kinda showed behind the scenes and funny stuff like breaking the fourth wall during lore. Oli also is friends with many hermits and fits in with the personality of many of them. It may be my bias of really enjoying Oli’s content but i feel he would be a great candidate for season 10. He also has been improving his building style too so maybe this could also help him with that.
and joel too, at the start of empires season 2 he had a’magic lore fountain’ that he showed building.

Sausage and Skizz would make me the happiest of happies. It's worth noting, I think, that Sausage added "lore" in the crossover for him to contact Pearl and actually used that mechanic to livestream from the HCS9 download to play DO2.

I think everyone is right about Skizz and Joel being most likely new members, I'm really hoping that one of these seasons they add Sausage I started watching his videos and Pearls back in Legacy SMP days and Pearl has joined so just waiting on Sausage, if you never watched some of his Collabs with Pearl like their Viking Village they built definitely gotta check it out they're a great Duo

Skizz is such a humble soul. I think he's probably been invited before, but has declined because he probably doesn't think he's good enough as the other hermits. (With his building ability, in the "Guess that build" he said in it that he knows he's not good at building and that enveryone else was better than him.) Also he has a full time job that's not Minecraft or CZcams, so he probably also thinks he wouldn't have the time to do Hermitcraft and would fall behind. I agree that I'd love to see Skizz join, I just don't think he will because of the kind of humble mindset he has.

Back in 2013, HBomb got his start on Cube SMP. He’s been doing SMPs for years before he blew up doing MCC and streaming stuff. I think he’d actually do really well and it’d be a nice throwback for him to do another “traditional” SMP again.
I really enjoyed the crossover. I was even active in the Empires Recap discord at the time and when I tell you everyone there was freaking out you better believe it.
Jimmy has said he isn’t in the next season.

I personally think Skizz and Sausage are likely.
In Sausage’s most recent Hardcore episode he went to Jimmy’s Christmas village for a little bit and in there saw a Secret Keeper from Secret Life that wasn’t there in Jimmy’s video. Because of that I am 95% sure that Sausage will be in a future Life Series. And on Ren’s finale he talked about wanting to work with Sausage again and Sausage commented about the possibility of the Gigaverse colliding again. Sausage had a lot of fun on the crossover with Pearl, and Gem and BDubs and I believe he would be a wonderful edition. I also may or may not be the script writer for his New Life series on the Recap channel so I may or may not have some serious biases surrounding him.
With Skizz, I am certain that the only barrier for him joining Hermitcraft is that he isn’t a full time content creator and he doesn’t seem to want to burden the Hermits and commit to a series like Hermitcraft unless he’s all the way in. I’m certain that if he ever goes full time, Impulse will ask him and the Hermits and all of them would agree to him joining. I don’t think he’ll join this season (although I still have hope) because of that. The Life Series has helped him gain some popularity and helped him to be more well known amongst Hermit fans. But I don’t know if he is there yet. Personally right now I feel like the Hermits would probably happily have him join. But Skizz would decline because he doesn’t feel quite ready yet.
And yeah, lack of building skills isn’t at all a problem. It’s an SMP where the Hermits do insane things. But insanity can take many forms. Maybe it’s a copper farm involving witches by Tango. Maybe it’s bombing out a world down to bedrock like Doc. Maybe it’s building an entire mountain off camera like BDubs. Or maybe it’s Joe and Zed being, you know, Joe and Zed.
I think a few of the Hermits that are more interested in the Vault Hunters Hermitcraft world will maybe be a part of that later joining. Iskall, Stress, Etho, Hypno, Joe and Wels feel like they’ll maybe be slow on regular HC episodes until Vault Hunters ends.
I mean I was watching THC towards the end I think there's somthing quite charming about some learning and enjoying playing the basics which I sure the majority of mc players can relate too. I see no harm in skizz being part time in his own right, engaging in server events or doing small scale episodes of his own. I mean some of the hermits now could consider themselves as part time on the server.

I feel like it would just be Joel (and hopefully Skizz) While Joel is insanely good at his building designs and large scale, other hermits builds are larger and more detailed and Joel could learn a lot, making him a very probable person to join. Meanwhile if Skizz would join, I am not sure. On his and Impulses podcast Skizz briefly touched on the topic of his schedule and how busy it always is and how he barely has anytime. I do hope they join though. It would bring lots of fun interactions in the beginning of the new season and different Mega base pairings
Given who is likely to leave or take a hiatus from HC, the lack of enthusiasm for a third season of Empires, and the word that Grian has plans for at least two more seasons of the Life series, I expect more Empires players to be added in, especially if Scar's Country Roads concept will apply to the server as a whole. A core settlement with satellite industry or a literal grouping along a road could open up options for players like Jimmy and Skizz who might not have the time to put into grinding and building massive bases like those we saw in Season 9, but who would bring a more interactive character and perhaps even a roleplaying element to the server as a whole. I would love to to see Skizz join the Hermits, but he has a lot of real life work that brings him satisfaction and pays his bills. I honestly have no idea whether he is inclined to make the jump, and or in what capacity, but I'd love to see him there.
As for other Empires or Life players, I think by and large that those who want to join would contribute to the more interactive flavor that's been talked about for Hermitcraft 10, especially as some of the present Hermits are hitting burnout or simply putting more time and energy into their families or other pursuits, such as Mumbo's and his filmmaking and Grian's ongoing creation of the Life series. Change and growth are important for any entertainment endeavor, and this is true of servers as much as it is for anything else. I expect Hermitcraft to make the necessary changes to keep the SMP alive and developing in ways that will make and keep it fresh and interesting for both the players and their audiences. I'm looking forward to the new season.
I'd be absolutely thrilled if Skizz, Joel/Lizzie, Jimmy and Martyn would join. Scott and BigB would be welcome as well, but I doubt they will. In essence, everyone in the Life SMP with the rest of the hermits would be the dream and very possible I think

I hope season 10 has more group builds. Boatem was so much fun and I think it would be really cool to have several different smaller groups of hermits all working together. like maybe half a dozen of them go to transform a biome and make some community based builds/mini games. i feel like people could really show off their different skills that way and also foster a lot more of those organic interactions.
I feel like we will lost a few members in general. We obviously lost TFC (RIP) but if I had to guess, Iskall and Stress are the most on the fence. I'm also not sure if we see Wels come back as he was mostly absent through the whole season. If we lose 2-3 members, I hope to see those spots filled with creators who with the Empire folks, Skizz, and Martin. There is also the potential of a huge wave of members coming in to help bring more life to the community. As more veteran members start to feel burn off or find other passions, it could be the passing of the torch to the newer creators to help them keep Hermitcraft alive.

Iskall needs to leave as he has quit 7, 8 and 9. He is obviously not feeling it anymore and is addicted to his own game. I will miss him but I would rather watch people who want to be there. Stress will leave too I expect. I will miss her too. I don't like Vault Hunters so I will not be following them anymore

@@SramCytryna122_ I think Joel's builds & his consistent video schedule would make him a good candidate. His sarcastic & at times mean-spirited persona would not fit as well with the more kind & wholesome hermit style.
The thing is one has to feel they're ready to join such a big and well known collaboration project. Pixlriffs is afraid it would take him too much time from his other projects, he was already struggling keeping up with both the Empires content and Survival Guide, and ended up shelving the Survival Guide for time being until the Empires ends, not to mention he already does Hermitcraft content outside of the server, alongside with ZloyXP and Lyarrah, I'm of course talking about the Hermitcraft Recap project, which is essentially a weekly summary of the Hermitcraft related content. So Pixslriffs most likely won't ever join the Hermitcraft, due to his vast number of projects he does. If he was to join Hermitcraft, one of his other projects would likely have to go. Iskall also was rather doing the Vault Hunters content than Hermitcraft recently, so you can see that keeping multiple projects running at the same time is very much time consuming and tiring.
Joel hundred percentage deserves a spot in the next season!

The other one in my predictions is Martyn. He might be not classified as a builder but I think he is actually good tho. His base in new life smp is not a megabuild but I'm genuinely impressed on how fast he can learn. Also he meshed well with people and is a quick witted person who can bring a lot of creative ideas and interactions to the smps he becomes a part of.
Regardless of who are the new hermits I hope the community welcomes them positively ❤

Also Jimmy actually made a video reacting to a speculation video of possible hermitcraft season 10 plans. Looking in one of his smug faces when they were talking about possible hermits. (They didn’t call his name and the smug slowly went away) At the end of the clip he does deny he’s in hermitcraft. But in my opinion it’s still kind of weird.
This is the first I’ve heard of the smug face lol!! I think if he’s invited his only option is to say he’s not joining because otherwise it’ll be given away.
I will say, Hbomb actually has been a part of another SMP group many many ages ago, The Cube, and I think he had a lot of survival / build experience on there as well, so I wouldn't quite say he's "just minigame focused." Recently, for sure, but I think he definitely would be a good fit, though probably would be pretty unlikely in my own opinion.
So I’ve watched hermitcraft for along time and I literally have thought skizz was going to join every season since season 7. And every year it seems more likely to me. I will be shocked if he doesn’t make it because I know his name has been floating around since at least season 7.
That being said, I think Joel, Lizzie, Jimmy, Martyn, Scott, Sausage, and fwip would be great and have a good shot. I also think Hbomb could be a surprise new member as well.
I would be surprised to see anyone I haven’t mentioned but GeminiTay was a huge surprise to me, so you never know.
I really hope hbomb is invited to join, he and skizz are both quite literally called honorary hermits, hbomb cause hes played with most if not all the hermits that have done mcc and have taught them and skizz because- well- it's skizz, he's been friends with impulse for a long time now. I know I for sure would like to see H. as for female youtubers, shubble is a great choice, shes been making content for years and H and Shubble are close friends, having even lived with each other before as roommates if I remember correctly. I think it would be really cool to see those two both join.

With so many Hermits talking about burnout and trying to set healthy work-life boundaries for themselves, it might be good to get a few extra people on so that there's someone to take up the slack of keeping us entertained if 1-3 people are on vacation/break at the same time or have a reduced production rate.

One of the main things to remember is that even if they have the opportunity to join, doesn’t they will nor want to. Most of them have likely already been invited, but they refused for many reasons, like focusing on their own content, too much responsibility, not enough confidence in their ideas yet or other personal reasons. I think it’s more likely they’ll come as guest rather then full time hermits.

I feel like in season 10 we will have a new hermit that is pretty predictable to join the server (I’m hoping for skizz tbh but I’m not sure) and I think they’re also be a more out of left field addition, like someone people aren’t expecting, I think that would be really cool.
I think you made so good points with the crossover, you can definitely tell who they are closer to and I can see up to 5 players moving over .
My sense is that one of the reasons empires s3 is delayed/shelved is creative differences between the members (people wanting the dramatic ending vs not, etc), which to me makes an en mass migration to Hermitcraft less likely! One assumes that the ones that are looking for grand overarching plots (scott for instance) might not be enticed by HC's typically much less coherent lore. Doesn't disprove that they might be invited, but i suspect we won't see the whole crowd.
I also wonder how HC's own creative spectrum plays into this. There's something of a range of video styles from longer eps with more minimalistic editing (xb, doc) over to fast-paced eps with tighter cuts (scar, bdubs). I think the variety is great and an curious how it would play into decisions - i think most of the Empres people fit more in the snappy editing style, so is there concern that adding too many of them would weight the server toward that style, to the point of leaving behind longstanding members that will suddenly be outnumbered on their own server?
Idk I'm putting a lot of weight on video length, which is not the best metric, as a stand-in for a larger creative mindset I'm not sure i can define clearly.
If they did do a massive merger like this, a fun conceit would be only revealing, say skizz or other non-empires members at the start, having a second spawn where the empires crew started as if a separate server. “Guest” interactions by those with ties to both, eluding to the secret, could eventually reveal the joint server.
That would be cool!
I think Fwip as amazing as it would be has said previously that they didn’t want to join Hermitcraft but yet are happy to have their own SMP and promotes healthy competition etc. and a few others like Pix who is also awesome but wouldn’t join.
I reckon it’ll be Sausage after his last video of viewing the hermit season 9 world download with his “lore”. Plus he was very well received when he joined the merge!
I think Fwhip definitely has what it takes to make another vanilla type server that’s very popular!
Honsstly, skizz I think is a fan favourite to be a new hermit, but I'm kinda rooting for Hbomb as well. He is friends with lot of the hermits and isnt currently in any smp that I'm aware. Yes, he's not a great builder, but as hermits said, they prioritize relations between people and that being a good builder is not a requirement
5:21 Someone said, I think it was Jimmy, that although the crossover wasn’t well received, Secret Life, which had pretty much the same members from Empires and Hermitcraft, did extremely well. So, I’m not sure if the poor reception to the cross over would mean that people from Empires wouldn’t be invited.
i think that lizzie is the least likely to join hermitcraft on this list considering she has mentioned a couple of times before she gets bored easily of the vanilla experience and simply enjoys modded minecraft more. But when it comes to the most likely, ITS DEFINETLY SKIZZ i mean the hermits already call him and treat him like a proper hermit so might as well become one. Overall i think skizz and joel are by far the most likely to join

The First time I saw skizz was on skyblock with impulse, and I was shocked when I found out he wasn't on the server list because he fit soo well into the mindset and style of hermitcraft
In a reaction video on solidarity shorts when he is reacting to animagicians version of this video when he is mentioned as a possible hermit to join, he does like a weird head flip, there is a chance that could mean he is joining or he just likes his name in it.
Also in Grians final video on season 9 he says that in the beginning he only did creative Minecraft, so switching was hard for him. Maybe this can mean there will be a creative dimension or something on hermitcraft season 10.
Lastly in one of Xisumas newest videos, as the time this comment went out, he says that in season 10 he wants to go down memory lane of every season he was apart of. This could mean maybe his mega base is small pieces of his 9 mega bases. This could also mean all of the hermits may do that (discluding the new ones, but maybe they can do their empires bases. If they were a part of empires) so like tango could make a mini decked out and toony town. Or scar can make a magical forest with a construction site close, with a scar land ride zooming through it!

Iskall has said since that stream that he is coming back. He just wants to bring back more of a season 6 vibe. More interactions with other hermits and less stress to get an omega build done. Id be really excited to see any of the empires join. I'm hoping it'll open up for more organic interactions. ❤ either way, im excited for s10 🎉

I do feel like that since hermitcraft is a lot bigger then it was back then they might be more careful with adding large groups of new memebers at once.

If they add Empires people and Joel isn’t one of them, I’ll be surprised. If Skizz isn’t in season 10, I will be sad, but I wouldn’t be surprised, because he is a pretty busy person and might not have time for it. That’s not me saying I EXPECT him not to be there, just that it wouldn’t be completely astonishing.

Tango and impulse have both openly advocated for Skiz to join. And impulse has been talking about it a lot recently. I took his giant grin as a wink and nod to Skiz joining
I liked the crossover, it was like two different dimensions emerging. Another side is the hermits that said they are going to be more or less inactive turning season X. Mega bases are cool but im also seeing the time of these huge mega bases is starting to fade. Feel specially bad for Iskallman and Mumbo who had a serious burnout from building. Anyway it's gonna be a interesting season to come for Hermitcraft. For some reason I feel it will be very lore driven and different from the previous 2 seasons.

I think they have a certain capacity that they're comfortable with, but consider the fact that after season 7, Biffa, Jessassin, and Python had left the server, and TFC has sadly passed away this season as well. Only two hermits have "taken their spots" since, and that's Gem and Pearl, so I think it's veru likely that another 2 or even 3 hermits could be added in season 10.
@@oklol7799 That is actually a fair point. I hope fWhip gets added but I think most likely are Joel then Skizz, and then maybe Sausage and fWhip. He seems to be the less likely of the 3 to me as he did run Empires and says he has some other server in mind.
Side note: Cleo/Scar and Sausage would be mad fun, really pushing the limits of ‘PG’

I think even if the empires crossover was recieved poorly by some people (which i had no idea about), that isnt necessarily indicative of how a permanent merger would be recieved as people would have more personal investment with whats going on with all the members if they're all permanently on the same server. I haven't watched any of empires but what i do know about it is that it very much isn't the same as hermitcraft, so them joining would have to be handled carfully so it doesnt feel like a complete erasure of the idea of the empires server without damaging the nature of hermitcraft, as id imagine empires fans would be annoyed if the former happened. IDK exactly how this would take shape but some kind of balance would probably have to be struck.

i'd love to see lizzie join him as a duo, which i think is both likely/unlikely (likely because she seems to enjoy longer, more relaxed smp's where she can take time to make good quality videos, but on the other hand, she seems to thrive most/seem most passionate in story/lore based smp's like empires where she can create a character), but i really love your female hermit point, so hopefully!
i can also see jimmy joining, because of his strong ties with grian and also tango (double life), but i'm a little unsure due to his content style, which is slightly more childish? (not in a bad way) and idk he just doesn't strike me completely as a hermit-type cc if you know what i mean? but i do think it's fairly likely that he would join with joel as a duo if lizzie declines/isn't invited, especially if he goes about the series in a fresh way for him! my only worry with jimmy would be that him/grian could get a lot of backlash from those reddit hc PURISTS who i can see kinda attacking them for the "grian-ization" of hermitcraft (which i think is silly duh) but i know that that stuff can fs get to grian so i'm kinda unsure about jimmy being invited (but we hope!!)
skizz i think could def also join, because he's basically a hermit at this point, and he might just have less frequent uploads especially due to his not full-time creator status, but he may actually change that if he's recieved well in hermitcraft and gains more subscribers (which he deserves fs) and overall support!
those are my bets for now, but i very much agree that people will be added (esp a non-builder or two, the less mega-base conversation may even be a hint to that!!)
Also the hermits said they like to keep roughly the same amount of people in the server and for a long time there was 26 people. Now there is 25 because Tfc sadly passed away so I think that there could be someone like Joel joining but there are also the people taking more breaks such as iskall and stress who are both focusing on vault hunters so I think there could be anywhere between about 0 and like 5 new hermits
to determine the number of potential new hermits, its important to determine how many hermits are returning to s10. theres a high chance iskall and stress wont be joining s10 anymore, and with the unfortunate passing of TFC, theres probably at the minimum 3 new hermits. i think keralis kinda doesnt want to play anymore as well so there might be more. but we can only speculate
Btw, on Xisuma's last stream, they made some meeting points. He said that they might live very near each other or they'll live in one starter base or something, just like their base on the Empires server.
