Arnold is very eloquent. He'll always have his native accent, but he is very interesting to listen to, because he clarifies and explains things very well. He has a ton of wisdom and knows how to use his gestures when explaining
I agree. But it makes sense. He spent a lot of time explaining bodybuilding to people in the 60s and 70s across continents with different languages. The very fact that he always operated outside of comfort zones right from his teenage years meant that he had to get into the habit of learning things quickly.. and learning how to do them well. Some of us never ever leave the comfort zones of our youth.
I am commenting for fellow Californian Arnold, not about his stature, we both from California (he spent many years at CA, lived n worked, succeed at Hollywood, made good money, so Arnold is really Californian (Case closed indeed!), the USA, does not matter where he was born an American is or supposed to be immigration country, except American Indian n even them they came from mostly from now called East Asia...
+Eric Wasson as I understand it, Arnold was first approached about the movie in a part that was NOT the lead role. After he read the entire script, he persuaded the director to make him The Terminator because he felt it was made for him
czcams.com/video/rf6gO6jxcXA/video.html maybe you've seen it already but he talks about OJ simpson being the first choice to play the Terminator, but he had ideas he shared with Cameron on how to play the terminator and cameron gave him the role. Interesting part of the interview is that he modelled his robotic behavior after the performance of Yul Brenner in Westworld.
Why are they only showing clips from the second Conan movie when they're talking about the first? No wonder it has such a hokey reputation. Are people confusing the two?
@@guileniam he means the other way round; they are promoting the second movie (via footage from the 1984 film) but the arnold talking is about the first movie as well as the second movie, but majority of the time arnold is talking the first movie (from 1982) so logically if it was for promoting the first movie the second movie footage didn't exist yet...he just prefers the first film is what it means haha
Arnolds styrian accent and his face kinda let him look dumber that he is. In fact, he is very smart. But what i respect most is his huge willpower, one of the best traits a human can have. Its because his dad was very harsh. That gives us something to think about, most parents are way to kind to their kids today. It can make them lazy and leads to the many lost drug addicts we got in the western world. I dont say parents got to be like Arnolds dad, but they need to find balance instead of exaggerating with either kindness or harshness.
1:35 he's like, "Great. This woman is going to ruin my career. How can I spin this around..." He exaggerates and lies, and it worked out. I don't blame him though, and it helped him become wealthy and enjoy a fun life as a movie star.
This guy is such a good speaker. He can talk his way into or out of anything.
Couldn't talk his way out of divorce tho...🤣
@@alexscott730 Considering well over half of celebrity marriages end up that way, it is a bit of an unfair statement though.
