      Umm, here's a fun fact: Most people that speak German know how to speak English. Most EUROPEANS know a great deal of English. As an American, I watch broadcasts from a handful of European news networks and MANY Europeans, regardless of the country, know English.

    I used to think Arnold was a bit more straight edge back then and progressively got funnier into the late 80s and 90s but damn, he was always hilarious. Great sense of humour and charisma.

      Had you watched Pumping Iron which was a real life documentary before he even became a movie star he was already very very funny. He has an ego but he made it funny. He's a bit like Tony Stark from the MCU

      I followed him since the beginning of the 70s, and think he looks nervous in these early appearances. But later, he was more relaxed and funnier in the 90s

    He was the hottest thing in Hollywood for sometime . Not for his acting obviously but there was a niche in the film industry and Arnie filled it like no other could. 10m per movie and worth every penny. His films were guaranteed blockbusters.

    Its hard to believe there was ever a time when Arnold Schwarzenegger was just filler material on late night television. Now he's THE guest that all talk show hosts wish they could have. I have to admit he was more down to Earth and humble here. He would of course go on to become a world renowned icon, a mega star, bigger than Jesus. Truly larger than life.

    I ll always rem him as the Terminator. My gosh... i wasn't even born back then, still watching this i am feeling damn nostalgic.
    Thank you Arnold for making my childhood awesome. Terminator was probably among the first Hollywood movie i watched as a kid... it's a classic.!

      Ikr. Everyone thought it would be a series of Conan movies that would make him famous, but later that year, this new movie called The Terminator made him a megastar. Also, his most famous line which wasn't yet know during the Conan era, "I'll be back" was going to become universally known.

    It’s odd, after like Terminator, Arnold never went on Letterman again. He just disappeared lol You’d see him on Leno, but never Letterman. Right up until Letterman retired. Even as governor he’d go on Leno, but never Letterman. I always wondered why.

      Except he did appear after 1984’s “Terminator.” He guested on Late Night in 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990, and 1991. On Late Show, twice in 1994.

    It was great seeing her in the 6th Terminator Movie and it's the 1st time in 28 years that they both worked together

      And The Terminator was probably Already filmed by the time of this interview, his work on it was probably done at the time of this interview because it said on the internet the movie came out on October 26th which is 4 months after this interview. So that movie probably in post production going through editing and stuff at this time
