We are lucky enough to hunt that same farm every year. I have harvested a 55" and a 53" Kudu on that same farm. Also got a 28" Nyala.
What an amazing experience that would be to go on a kudu hunt. Out of all the awesome animals in Africa the number one species I would like to get is a kudu. The ghost of the plain from what I've heard. I think they are the most beautiful and most rewarding to get. Great video

Interesting how the new generation guys hunt as to how my Dad did in the 1970,s...hunted in the Steytlerville district every winter and shot his quota of 7 Kudu every season with a Open sight Musgrave 3006!

Congrats on your Bushpig. I took a Bushpig with a bow while hunter with Dries Visser Safaris. I was bowhunting Leopard with Hanke and had a chance at the bushpig. We took Honey Badger and had a permit for Brown Hyena. Great experience

I use 225gr Hornady Eld Match at 2650ft/s.
@@nicoharris2571 Thanks, Nico. Those are unlikely to drift much, although the drop may be fairly large over long distances (but you knew both of those things and you have apps that can give you the necessary adjustments - if you haven't simply memorised them).

Probably my .260 Rem! But I would cut it to Ackley Improved:) And scope of choice would be Element Nexus! But of course I am biased because I helped design it😄

Question: I keep wondering why all you guys have suppressors mounted on firearms shooting high velocity bullets. They do nothing for the sonic noise level. And, I suspect they don’t do much to quiet the “blast” noise level either. I can clearly see the use when firing subsonic ammo... Thanks

I bought a Daystate Huntsman 22.cal and have been extremely pleased and impressed with it. Have taken coyotes, a bobcat, groundhogs and starlings and pigeons at nearly 100 yards.

I have a problem scope which I can't solve it!
When zeroing, windage adjustment works fine but the Elevation adjustment has a problem! My target hit low about an inch lower and I can't raise it higher the adjustment limit reach..
What should I do?
It sounds like you are out of elevation maybe get adjustable scope rings

Why can you use high powered rifles in South Africa but can only use no more than .22 air rifles to hunt?
We can use big bore airguns, it is just a real pain to license them.
Cows be like: “Hey Joe, you hear that gunshot?” Joe: “Nooooo, didn’t hear a thing.” Cows go back to eating.
More like "Hey, Daisy" or some other lady name - cows don't identify as another gender - unless they are really sick.
Although I do remember a "Disney type movie where there WAS a male cow - he even had teats - fathered a a boy who also had teats. There were bulls on the farm as well, but they may have been a different species as far as breeding went.
