Jonah Loeb its not hard to tell someone to go to right field and point the knob to the catcher...i would have been impressed if he told her to hit the inside of the baseball or extend the top hand more threw her swing.
They both definitely know what the hell they are doing. As it turns out, they don't just let anyone play in the show. Great hitting advice!

Just received more coaching here in 5 mins than I ever did growing up through high school ball. Coaching is everything in baseball.

This is the best thing ever. I come back to this for soothing. DeRosa and Thome are stoked at what is happening. Not TV stoked, but they are legitimately stoked at seeing this.
Thome was not only awesome on the field, he was awesome off the field too. he was a true "selfless star." he never missed an opportunity to talk to a kid whom he knew loved him, because he knew that kid would remember that moment for the rest of his life. he treated Indians fans like family and we loved him for it. him and Omar Vizquel were doing pregame warmups before a game and he turned to the crowd when they were done and I miraculously got his attention and he threw it to me. I was about 12 so, needless to say, my dad towered over me. when Thome threw the ball to me my dad naturally caught it not even thinking about. Thome stopped *dead in his tracks* and stared my dad down until he saw him hand me the ball, then went on his way lol then he proceeded to hit 2 HR's and a double that game. somehow once again I miraculously got his attention after the game and he came and signed my ball for me. he actually friggin' remembered throwing the same ball to me before the game, and said he didn't think "the guy next to me"(my dad) was going to give me the ball so he was about to say something to him haha still my prized possession of my entire life, that ball will never leave my family.
Ohio Against The World Great story. I grew up in LA so I'm a rabid Dodgers fan. But those mid 90s Indians teams were a team I loved to watch. Manny and Thome were my two favorite hitters back then.

Jim, I grew up in Cleveland watching you. I want to thank you for the homeruns you hit and how you carried yourself throughout the years. I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood. As a kid, it was exciting and that’s the way it should have been. Thanks Jim.

I was never told that in six years of Little League. It might have helped me more, and I had the opposite problem that Lauren has. Also, I think I misunderstood what "bail out" meant before this video - I thought it only applied to the feet.

Lauren is one of my favorite TV personalities. She is awesome on all the MLB Network shows. And she's an awesome person too.

As obvious as it sounds now, I wish I had known about having the knob of the bat towards the catcher earlier. Either my coaches never told me about that, or I wasn't paying attention.

How not to become a movement or hashtag (cause a common minded man would've stepped behind her and pretended to show her the the walk through stroke). He showed me the correct way to instruct from the front only.
yeah but she was poor student and he try show her to stance with front foot in more then back, and she did not listen and keep hitting it to wrong side of feild. That biggest part.
Jim Thome needs to be the Texas Rangers hitting coach. He will fix Rougned Odor and Joey Gallo! He’ll have them hitting .300 and not .200

Thome is a class act, phenomenal player & great man. The MLB Central cast (DeRo, LS, Roflo) are the best in the business, the most entertaining, influential & educational sports show on television. DeRo is my all time favorite, love the guy. He’s such an incredible baseball mind & great athlete. He was actually a pretty good college QB. Moreover, I have to say how beautiful Lauren is, she was a bombshell at UF. She can model workout attire 🤩🤩😻😻🔥💥❤️😍💕😍🥰. I pray 🙏 that MLB Central is back for the 23 season. Let’s get it Cubs fans!!

A pitcher will read it right away and throw inside, especially if your batting stance was drastically different in your other at bats. Unless you're Cal Ripken and change it from pitch to pitch. It's like poker, you don't show your hand. Gwynn had the same batting stance for 20 years and sprayed it all over the place.

When Thome came to the plate... especially in a tight game, you always felt like he was about to crush it. His persona on the field always seemed to bring the magic of baseball to life. For me, there are very few players today who carry that torch. Mike Trout, definitely... Harper tries, but is just a brat... maybe it's different for the younger generation... which players bring that magic alive for you?

I learned the same thing like Lauren shahadi one of my trainers taught me how to do the knob to the ball drill and shake the pitchers hand drill to very similar to what they are showing Lauren and I started to get better hitting the ball

Lauren Shehadi listen here cause I'm being Straight Up, Honest, For Real, True, No Lie, 💯, On God, Facts, I'm telling everyone right now that 3/4 of the time I'm trying to watch MLB Network for insight, scores, and rundowns from the games the night before and get info, opinions, and analogies on games for the upcoming night but when Lauren SheHottie is on the screen at all I can't pay attention to anything but her period!!! Even if she's in a dang winter coat with snow boots while rocking sweat pants and a beanie cap I still can't concentrate on anything but her and I'm not even "THAT GUY" who drools over or makes a big deal about the hot chick on TV, but good grief she's super distracting but distracting in the most absolute awesome way humanly possible!!! God thank you for DVR, where I can at least rewind the shows as much as needed to actually be able to eventually pay attention and listen to what the heck the guys are talking about after numerous hours of rewatching over an over from having to hit the skip back button so much my fingers start to cramp up!!! SMH!! Jim's drills is all about adjustment making to pre swing positioning- Deros is all about adjusting swing plane....which one garnered the instant "gratification"- Deros....so Lauren's issue was understanding swing plane, rather than positioning...she even messed around with a closed stance (GCarlo)...which didn't yield the instant result. Awesome stuff !!!
