Which of these bombs was your favourite?
It's Carter's without contest
we may go another thirty years until baseball ever sees something like that again
I give flowers to Bautista's for it's impact on the game's overall culture
Bautistas bat flip and Joe carter
Alomars was number 3 and you didn't put it in. You know nothing of baseball in Toronto. Last time I watch a video of yours
Joe Carter World Series winning HR
joe carter
This list is completely inaccurate without Alomar's home run.
Lol they’re done with him
Fully agree.
Trying to rewrite history by cancelling Robbie's home run? F off! It was one of the most critical home runs in Jays history.
I wasn't even born at the time, yet the "touch 'em all, Joe" call never seizes to give me the chills
Left off Alomar's homer? It's literally the most important in Blue Jays history.
At the time yes
Most important was Carter’s World Series clincher. How can any be more important than that?
As Jay's fan i appreciate you guy's for even letting us voice our opinions but as you can see the comments say it all
Stroman, but NOT Robbie in game 4 in Oakland. RIDICULOUS
Agreed, I would think that was a consensus #3, behind Carter and Bautista but ahead of Encarnacion and Sprague. Top 5 at least.
I believe it is because of his actions at the end of his career. Robbie is my favorite Jay, he got a lot of hate though.
Or Pearce’s walk off slam?
Robbie Alomar got cancelled lol I think that's why they left him off the list
oh true that's right i forgot he was cancelled @@tuckersdadnb
Alomar off of Ecks needs to be on this list regardless of what he did in his private life
Did we really leave off Alomar’s ?
Did Alomar get "cancelled" by Sportsnet?
Honorable mention: Johnny Mac on fathers day. Five days after his father had passed away.
Should have been on the list for sure, that HR was something else!
Where’s Alomar’s home run against Dennis Ecksersly in 1992??
He got cancelled for domestic abuse
Once or twice a year , I look at the whole inning to truly feel Bautista's homerun.
Goosebumps every single time.
Fr I rewatched the whole game the other day on yt
@@sportsnetwhere’s Alomar?
"The 7eventh" is a fun video here on CZcams to re-live that moment
The camera shakes on T.V never gets old. You can feel the energy everywhere. Skydome can get so loud. Cherished forever
Remember Alomar? Sportsnet doesn't
apparently the Jays didn’t have a second basemen in the early 90s.
Why did you INTENTIONALLY leave out Alomar's homerun?
It's not on there because they don't wanna celebrate him because he touch the 18 year olds breasts while working for the jays. Thats why they took him off the level of excellence. I think He'll be back one day, because compared to other current hall of famers and still active players, His was more sad and pathetic than evil. But for now you can't celebrate him. I agree it is the most important moment in franchise history.
I figured as much but one has nothing to do with the other.
It was worse than that. He was having unprotected sex with women while he knowingly had HIV@@alexjessop5330
I agree Alomar Homer was deservedly, and easily number three if not, number two.
How is Alomar's HR against the A's not on this list?! That's a disgusting omission, Sportsnet. It's arguably the 2nd most iconic HR (behind Carter's WS HR) or at worst 3rd (Bautista's HR against Texas at #2). Embarassing.
Roberto Alomar's HR against Dennis Eckersley in game 4 of ALCS is the 2nd biggest HR in Blue Jays history. It was because of that hit which Jays won that series and subsequently won its first ever World Series Championship. Mind you, Eckersley was the most feared closer in the Major League those years and he won the Cy Young award that year as well. I urge all you young baseball fans to find the video on YT and watch it. Such an amazing swing by Robbie and such an important HR it was too.
How does Robbie Alomar vs Eckerskey in the ALCS not make this list?!!
You cannot possibly tell fans that Stroman's meaningless HR during the regular season is more important than that homer.
Joe Carters home run to win the 93 world series was 1 of the best moments I've experienced in my 56yrs. !!!
I know it's not Iconic but it's special to me. John McDonald fathers Day HR after coming back from the bereavement list losing his father having 0 HR. John your an all-star in my books.
Was half expecting that one too
Where is Alomar's home run in Oakland? Bigger than Bautista's to be sure and arguably on par with Carter's. Preposterous but I should have expected nothing less from sportsnet.
Drop that stroman one off the list, and drop everyone ftom bautista down back 1. Alomar off eckersley is #2. Idgaf what anyone says about bat flip being bigger. It wasn't.
I hate Alomar as much as the next guy, but it's ridiculous to not include him on this list
man Delgado's swing so iconic, and I miss my favorite Jay Encarnacion!
Those were obviously going to be the top 2. Bats' homer had a ton of relief on top of everything else after the way that inning went. (Gibby still should have bunted with Pompey on 3rd in the CS.)
Listen, I know Robbie is garbage as a person but his HR still deserves to be on this list.
Great memories
These corporate idiots can pretend Robbie didn't exist all they want but Alomar's bomb in 1992 should be ranked #3
there’s an argument it could be #1
Should've had the first ever Home Run at SkyDome hit by Fred McGriff and Paul Molitor's Solo Home Run in the 1993 AL East Clincher against the Brewers on the list.
Very cool to look back on Blue Jay history.⚾️
I remember exactly where I was when Joe hit that homer, and I’ll never forget it.
I only can hope that my son gets to see the Blue Jays do it in his lifetime… maybe even as one of the team who knows?!?
2 more: Danny Ainge becoming the youngest Jay to Homer followed by Vlad Jr. becoming the youngest.
They forgot when Frank Thomas hit his 500th home run on June 28th, 2007 against the Twins. Only 28 MLB players have ever his 500 or more. This home run should have been on the list.
I knew when I clicked that Joe Carter's would be number 1. It couldn't possibly be anything else.
Joe Carter for the world series championship 🤘
chills carter home run
Has Alomar been cancelled? because his HR vs Oakland was easily top 3 in our history.
Which intern left out Alomar's dinger in Oakland?
Steve Pearce's second walk-off grand-slam in the same week should have made the list. That was MLB history made there, no other player has done that and that capped a 7-run inning that salvaged a game we were destined to lose.
I guess that’s a pretty solid list. It’s kinda slim picking for the most part
6:14 just imagine that feeling of SMASHING that ball …. I get chills watching it alone ,also where is ALOMAR!?!?
What the hell?! Where's Alomar's Home run?! 🤦♂️
The real hero is the guy who ran onto the field during carters home run
Imagine being at that World Series game where Joe Carter hits the homerun.
Alomar definitely should be in the top 5 but he had to get cancelled by the Jays smh
Missed Alomar’s HR against Dennis Eckersley
Alomar's HR off Eckersley is the top HR on this list, PERIOD. Without that clutch HR there is no 92 ALCS clinch! How the hell is Stroman on here? Come one SportsNet ..
I understand why Alomar got left off, but I am legitimately surprised George Bell's walk off HR at the final game at Exhibition stadium isn't here.
No "woke" Sportsnet. The greatest home run in Jays history was hit by Roberto Alomar. With a single swing of a bat, the Blue Jays went from underachievers to champions. He changed that team in one single moment.
I’m here for Jr Felix’s inside the park home run… it’s here right?
Honourable Mentions:
Josh Donaldson Walk-Off HR vs Chicago White Sox May 2015
Munenori Kawasaki First Ever HR vs Baltimore June 2013
Alomar off Eckersley that gave the Jays a commanding 3 to 1 lead?
Where's is Vladdy Jr. first ever home run (game#2 vs St-Louis in MTL 2018)?
I LIKE when Edwin had 3 GRAND SLAMS In one game, to get 9 RBI's. And then there's the 5/6 home runs in One inning??
Alomar's HR was more important that Bautista's Atleast Alomar wasn't an arrogant player
I could never really understand why after Joe Carter came home and the team was celebrating, the cameras cut to the philies dugout and all we saw was a guy wearing a pair of purple doc martin boots? Who was he & what was he doing there?
Well, the top two are accurate
Seems like the Jays are intent to completely remove all existence of Robbie Alomar playing for the Jays. He is still part of our history no matter what he did in his personal life...which to this day has not been revealed.
Leaving off Alomars home run from the 92 LCS renders this list irrelevant. shameful
Im Sorry Leaving Roberto Alomar's HR vs Oakland in Game 4 of the 92 ALCS off the list is an absolute travesty! Yes the guy is a complete scum bag however that doesn't take away from how important that home run was.
Too bad the team wasn't that great during the Delgado years
Jays version of Sundin... great player, awful teams lol
@@alexanderesposito5672 Great comparison
vvv - I miss Pat Tabler button
I wish baseball was more fun to watch
It's too bad the most important home run in team history has been erased
I thought Edwin hit one 490 at home?
MLB lists Smoak as the longest in team history
@@sportsnethow is it iconic? it’ll just get replaced when a future jay hits it longer
Idk how Stroman’s home run is iconic but ok. Completely disagree with that one.
We thought a 5'8" pitcher going opposite field was pretty cool!
five foot eight American League pitcher homering the opposite way
@@sportsnetokay but Stroman is a arrogant loser nobody respects.
@@sportsnetAlomars was cooler
@@sportsnetcool, sure. Iconic, not quite.
Its a bit surprising to read the comments and see how many people were fans enough to watch this video, yet dont seem to know or recall that Alomar was cancelled once and for all by the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Alomar was my all-time favorite Blue Jay but I can accept and understand the Organization did attempt to stand by him and celebrated him as a legend, but after yet another investigation and controversy, they had to disown him completely. Level of excellence, HOF banner and historical video nostalgia all removed and never to be acknowledged again. The Blue Jays mean it this time: Alomar is banished for life.
Well that’s one way to try and hype up a fan base for another underwhelming season
No Alomar?
