- I've always been fascinated by endurance racing. I think it's spectacularly fun and cool, as well as a real challenge for drivers and teams to function as one. Very thankful for our friend Harold for letting me come play with them! Hopefully we can redeem ourselves at Road Atlanta in December.

Always wanted to do a lemons race looks like an absolute blast.
It really is a blast. Is it the best W2W racing? Probably not. But the atmosphere's great, the people are nice, and we had a lot of fun.
Up front cost is a sticker shock, cause of the gear. Otherwise its nice and fun!

Gotta love lemons, it's completely bonkers but the racing is SO good
From a driver's stand point: Lemons is fun, but I don't know if I would call the racing "SO good". Most of the time you're dealing with much slower or much faster traffic, or the competition is nursing a problem and not putting up a big fight. There's a ton of overtakes, but mostly it's just getting through the much slower cars. As a challenge, I'd love to fight against other cars and have to work harder for the overtakes, that to me is GOOD racing.

Nah man not trying to shut you down, just trying to provide my own experience. The really great part about lemon is that it’s accessible, “relatively” cheap, doesn’t require a special license, and you get a ton of seat time and great for team building. It’s exciting for sure. I just want more wheel to wheel dog fights, like I had with the white EG hatch!

@2:05 guys, that's a big no no. Coolant additives are against the rules because they are very slippery and can cause accidents when you wet the track with it.
Also, if you need additives to cool your car in Michigan in October, you have other much, much bigger problems.
Good to know, will be more heads-up about that from here on

@@JackieDing86 yeah! I don’t know if you got a good look at it but it had cantilever suspension in the back and corvette brakes all the way around. The build on that Royals was crazy

The rolls gets a pass because it is usually broken, I think they are on Viper engine number 4 or 5 now?

That car started as a Lemon, turned into a GLTC car after. The team are some good guys and they have a less cheaty blue rsx they run as well.

4:53 that would be a Gremlin. Pacers have a tall roof and giant windows. Some Gremlins were decently quick (for the era) out of the box if they had the optional V8.
I have done a lemons race. I been racing round track since I was 8 on asphalt. So 5 years ago in 30 now I used my very first oval racecar 92 caviler fully caged fwd circle track racecar that I won my first race ever in championship and rookie of year. That was rhe only fwd car i ever raced cuse after that i moved up to super atocks and limited latemodels but it was nice going through tech with my caviler cuse they saw what it use to be jsed for and passed it woth put looko g it over for a long time they knew it was safe with a onboard fire extongusher sustem called halon you push a button and the whole car immediatly fills up with halon put of the nozzles you run through out car in cockpit under hood and trunk area. It was a blas the car made the whole race with no problems what so ever except one flat tire. But we did have the motor rebuilt to freshen it up and that costed me 500 bucks and i was still legal cuse car was free I dodnt have to buy it pr build it.

We ran the car hard when we had it and never overheated so not sure what is going on now. Too bad you wrecked it. Hopefully not to bad.
Gotcha, no biggie. The suspension has already been repaired, next week we start on the cooling revamps!
@@JackieDing86 I showed Jerry the video and he says the motor sounded like the timing jumped a tooth or more so that is why it was overheating
@@JackieDing86 also keep an eye on the oil level. If it gets low that could be why it was smoking. Hopefully you didn't hurt the motor
@@toyzforme wouldn’t be surprised that it did, the belt was very flappy when the car’s running. We’ll get that fixed
@@toyzforme Yeah I msged Jerry when we got home, he's just the best guy ever, helped me diagnosed a lot of stuff that we have no idea about, getting it fixed is our top priority this month. Learning experience is always good, and it's nice to find things early on before it becomes a huge hurdle for us

Unfortunately not, we didn't have enough tools to do it so decided to carry on regardless
