    Thank you so much for your videos! I don't know if I necessarily have OCD, but I've struggled with anxiety and intrusive/ruminating thoughts for a long time. This advice has really helped me to feel in control of my life again and feel like myself. Understanding that thoughts are just thoughts and feelings are just feelings really helped me to make progress and do things that used to scare me.

    My favorite ocd channel. The others are trying way to hard to release "new information" like: 5 things against ocd or try these 3 things etc. and at the end you are more confused than before.
    This channel is more like a friendly reminder to stick to the basics and to keep going.
    And maybe or even maybe not, everthing (or probably just something) is going to work out. 😅

    Thank you so I've been struggling with the ocd for the past 1 year and it's always the same thoughts that come again and again and making me feel ashamed and making me question my character but now thanks to you I'm feeling a lot better now and hasn't gone completely but still it wouldn't give me anxiety anymore like it used to

    I have GAD and Religious moral OCD for years.
    For anxiety I am choosing to not panic, why bother about it? for me being continuous anxious is a choice. Thanks to Jesus Christ I'm like 85% better now.

    Thank you so very much for all you are doing.
    With your help I am facing my ocd and have even made progress. But I am also suffering from depression. I am a lonely person and No one likes me. I am highly educated and intelligent but I am always misunderstood by the others that is why I have no one. Very often I look around and find no reason to live on.

      If you really think no one likes you, why is that? Is there something you can do to change yourself a bit instead of feel sorry for yourself? Not blaming you but maybe you beed to be more pr less something to not be off putting or whatever it is thats driving people not to like you.
      Unless youre being paranoid maybe.

    I really liked this. I suffer from years long crippling anxiety, disability (physical), PTSD, GAD &Panic Disorder, and OCD (various subtypes). I do CBT and talk therapy. But, isn't talking about the anxiety, or New stressor, triggers, techniques, symptoms "doing something about it"? For some people simple talk therapy or maybe ACT does help . Some times for years, if not longer. But a lot of that is like 1 or 2 particular things. For me they all feed in like vicious cycle, like a school of fish with varying types of "fish hooks" all going different directions, different sizes, shapes, styles, etc. Some times the thoughts and symptoms are so bad, that they take up like 85% of my day, and it's like being in a protracted Anxiety/Panic attack for days or longer, with even derealization (not depersonalization)and it's like everything is a trigger, and I'm just "dying". So is doing both CBT (modified with CPT, tapping, ACT, All kind of in one) every two weeks, and just base talk therapy in the week between CBT not "doing something"? Is it not helping/helpful?     I think it is all depend how severe the ocd and anxiety are..sometimes intervention with pills are necessary

      Fear based disorder, you avoid situation you take pill, cycle repeats.

      @@fin610 not true, I dont avoid situation, because of medicine I can still go out, and function, you cant speak for others, severity of ocd I'd disabling.

      @@justmadeit2 uf, alot of intrusive thoughts of hurting others, myself, imagies of how something dangerous Will happen..then thoughts of doing stuff that i dont want..like jump through the Window..ect..hope it helps ;)

    I handled it for almost a year . I worked 2 jobs and I enjoyed myself so much. It doest heal or go away. You have to face it be in reality be open . Be aware if that is tge truth or not then just let it be . Rest is very important.

    My fishhook is probably a fused part of my body at this point. It’s all centered around harm OCD and panic attacks when the intrusive and what if thoughts come in and blah blah blah. I am working towards accepting it and staying engaged instead of avoiding which has increased everything. OCD and anxiety are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at me now that I’m trying to do ERP, it’s exhausting

    My therapist tells me this , but then I procrastinate and the fish hook gets deeper. It is affecting my work. I am months behind on some projects. But I am to scared to start them !

    Why I feel abnormal / not myself whenever I enjoy my time for a while and stop feeling anxious? Why I am so scared of forgetting about anxiety?😊😅

      Because your body is so used to anxiety, it's gonna be like "Huh, why isn't this happening anymore?" and the only way you can stop this is through continuing to live normally so your body will INSTEAD say "Ah yes!, that's normal!".

    I just think I’m too complex for a therapist to understand or make sense of where I’m at at age 49. I’m sure there are good therapists out though if you have the money and are lucky enough to find a really good one who can see things I can’t see

    I have ocd from my childhood now i am 26 age, my problem is saliva intrusive thought and worryness .let me explain in simple word consider i playing game my focus on that game then suddenly this saliva intrusive thought comes into my brain then i am not able focus on that game, then my focus on saliva activities then i start swallow the saliva. Swallow saliva Because i am focusing on saliva so next stage is dryness in the throat. This is my problem please suggest me that how to get rid of them please please reply me
    Intrusive thought and fear be like you swallow the saliva then dryness of throat happens, then thought says you dont want also swallow saliva happens. So this is my problem so please suggest me how get rid of this problem

    Hi I love your videos
    I tracked my ocd and found it got worse around certain times of my menstrual cycle which I could handle because I knew it only lasted a few days but now it’s stopped and I’m in HRT but the OCD is random now and this has caused me to panic and anxiety and OCD get worse. Are you aware of hormones effecting OCD ?

    My brain force me to become transgender and sometimes it feels real but from my bottom of my soul I dont want to be like that . I am very happy as a male and i love my gender so much . I am using ERP therapy and it goes worse. First i took Chronic stress and i got diagnose with health anxiety and fear of cancer ,als ,ms but now i beat them so please help me with this ocd .
