    By the way, to record station announcements at York, I highly recommend recording those speakers on the underground way

      I thought once about recording some as I frequent the York station and if I did I would have done that this way too

    When’s Anne being added to the rest of the line? Grantham was meant to get it last July. All I saw was new PA speakers but were still manual :/

      I don’t know, I think they originally planned to have her rolled out by this summer but I don’t think they will. Doncaster has new speakers too but there were no announcements at all (Anne or manual) when I was there.

    Was that LNER ticket app announcement seriously done with Text To Speech? Sounds like it.

    Does Leeds and York have the same announcer? If they do then the only difference is in York she says coaches and in Leeds she says carriages.

    • @Parallel395
      @Parallel395  Před 2 lety

      They do have the same voice but some of the phrases are different as York is managed by LNER and Leeds is managed by Network Rail.

    Nice recordings, interesting to hear zone 19-12 when trains stop at those zones. Odd how Anne doesn't announce the S in coaches for 4 or 9 car.

    • @Parallel395
      @Parallel395  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Jamie! Anne kinda sounds shocked when she says the high end zone numbers!

    • @jamiehooper5328
      @jamiehooper5328 Před 2 lety +1

      @@Parallel395 She does I think the numbers for the zones are somewhat scrambled from numbers used on platforms, times and carriage formations.
