Great catch of announcements at Charing Cross, susprisinly they still announce the TOC at Charing Cross where as all other SE stations that are only operated by 1 operator do notvery similar to Chiltern Railways. Interesting catch of Anne's original recordings of Maidstone East line.

My dad Alan Pittard did the announcement at Bridgend in the early 1950s. He moved to West Yorkshire and had to stand in for the regular announcer but was banned as nobody could understand him because of his accent.

Nice video of New Celia's announcements on the Class 701s shame she will soon be replaced by Elinor all that will be left is Chiltern Railways and Northern Trains stations, I don't know if shes still on the Northern and Jubille LU trains.

When is South Western Railway going to start allowing the Class 701 Arterios to work on Hampton Court, Shepperton, Chessington South, Reading, Guildford and Woking services. These new trains should have entered service some years ago despite Covid-19 caused these new trains to be delayed.

If you ever want to get some more Celia at original speed, the 458s still have it, however it's getting replaced with Elinor for the SWR refurbishment, so sooner rather than later!
