hi ive gained a few billion catacombs xp over my journey through this game so heres my thoughts on this personally ive always done f7 with young drag instead of maxor because well ive never owned a maxor set, f7 is irrelevant nowdays for me and is only played for fun so theres better things to spend my money on then maxor when young drag gives the exact same effect.
With young armor u can use silverfish pet meaning there’s a lot more cheeses you can do and get to phases of necron and sec faster f7 is so easy that u don’t need the dmg at all plus I can flex my light blue young it’s a win win
i used to use young when i did my 5k f7 runs, when i started with young (at like 2.5k runs) i was already c50 and 1 tapping everything and able to solo boss in every setup so i just stuck with young gdrag perma 500 speed and funni#
Most people I see use it for: 1. For ghost blocking since u can't do it with 100 speed pretty sure ( I mean like ghost picking and going thru ) 2. Alot of people don't have enough money to buy maxor 3. Most people I see using it is just to like have enough speed so u can go thru ghost blocks when at start of dungeon so they can to blood and then they swap the set 4. VRUUM VRUUM SPEED
Just something to add I use young dragon in f7 with black cat so 600 speed also i play berz and im only cata 31 and i have never died to and mobs or boss in young
#1 when high cata u don't have problem with ehp or mana #2 u can use ANY pet and have 500 speed, like silverfish when boss skipping, gdrag for clear so u dont have much problem with DMG #3 cheaper for people who don't do dungeons and have aurora like me #4 austronaut helmet. Sus helmet. Yes.
for me most the people i see use young are cata 48 - 50 and they just swap to bers/ arch armor in boss and for king midas he already has a set amount of dmg so it probably would have taken about the same time to kill. Honestly I don't think you would have spent 100m on that set even if you included the price of a lvl 100 black cat.
we use young because maxor is irrelevant, young is much cheaper and f7 barely needs that much ehp. without maxor you can use storm which has more uses like rcm mm or rcm out of dungeons (which is prob outclassed by aurora now but wtv u get what i mean)
dumass its about boss. who said maxor is irrelevant maxor boots and leggins is always on high demand. you only need maxor boots and leggins for 500 speed with black cat if you cant reach it with that then skill issue
my friend uses it to glitch in then goes back to 3/4 necron then whatever head. And yes a black cat would be better but that would send us into debt because we are broke. But black cat is still ultimately better.
i use young in f7 because im poor but i have high cata and i still got enough mana as well so i think its not a problem to use young (mainly because im poor)
Reasons why young is better - 500 speed no black cat - Allows for other pets while maintaining 500 speed - Cheaper alternative - Way drippier with mogus skin - Glory to mothgirl23 and Bloom
The downsides to this are: 1. In trap room I switched to rabbit hat (Which cancelled my 500 speed) 2. The loss of wither goggles means that I lost out on a ton of dps. This might not be as big an issue for cata 50s tho because they get a larger stat buff.
I use young as a cata 40 bc I got ratted so no coi so I do not have enough coins so to afford major and a black cat plus I don't Weare young drag all bos that's rlly what n9one doese
Once you get to catacombs 40, you are capable of one-shotting everything in floor 7, and so the set that you use does not particularly matter. I tend to use young and it works just fine. (Catacombs 50, Hyperion clear)
Use young for goin thru things. With young armor u can have 500 speed and silverfish (haste 3) so its easier to get thru phases or go thru walls

Chances are that people use young dragon so they can use other pets whilst having the high 500 speed

my friend uses younge for clearing as tank sometimes but only because hes too slow
