      Hey Barb! You can get the ring mandrel here: www.jtv.com/product/hard-chromed-ring-mandrel-sizes-1-15/JST719?mcid=XSOjsyt
      As for the vise, you can do a quick internet search for "ring mandrel vise" and some good options should pop up! Look for the one your ring mandrel screws on to.

    I looked on line but the leather cords are either thick or too thin to use for a more stiff leather. I can't see where this tutorial list where to find the flat back 3mm leather cords.

    I love these but am having trouble finding leather that is under 2mm thick. any leather I have found is more along the lines of a deerskin leather thus making it to soft. any suggestions? the link in this video for leather is for a multi pack and various width sizes. last time i checked it was also on back order. I did find some online and even though I did ask seller if leather was thin it still was 2 mm.
    P.S. You are my favorite teacher on you tube, your designs are so pretty and unique and are very easy to follow.

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi! Sorry we are sold out of the leather cord used in the video. If you are hesitant to buy online from another source, try doing a quick internet search for 1mm flat leather cord. Usually, you will get some results that include a local craft store in your area. You can walk in and touch and feel it for yourself. We were able to find some good online sites that offered cord in 1mm flat as well. Good luck and we hope to be able to update our leather link soon!

      @@JewelSchool Thank you for the information. Its a real "thing" to find this particular kind. I know what is up, the problem is everyone I have
      dealt with is not concerned with details. i.e.-leather height-1mm. They all assure its right, but thus far, no way man. I hope Jewel School finds a way to restock.💜

    • @JewelSchool

      Yes it does! Just make sure you wind that wire and pull it tight with your chain nose pliers. As long as you have enough of the leather overlapping, it should hold! Thanks!
