Making A Handmade Braided & Tooled Leather Cuff - Leather Craft

- čas přidán 24. 07. 2022
- In this leather craft video I quickly show my process for making a 1” wide braided and tooled leather cuff made from natural vegetable tanned leather. The tooling pattern down the center of the cuff was achieved using two different sizes of diamond shape stamps. Each edge of the cuff is braided with 3/32” wide calf lace using a Mexican round braid technique. The show side of the cuff is dyed with a light walnut and dark brown fade while the back of the cuff is lined with dark chocolate pig skin suede. I hope you enjoy watching the process of making this unique leather cuff.

I'd like to see a video on how to braid like this!?
Thank you. There are a few videos out there on how to do it. Look up how to Mexican round braid.
かっこいい!
This is perfekt😊
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice looking cuff. I do have one suggestion, I would use blue lock-tight on those screws. I’ve had problems in the past with screws like that eventually backing out.
Thank you. I agree, I would do that if it was for someone else, but because I’m keeping it for myself I’m not that worried about it.
Их можно на суперклей посадить, и содой сбрызнуть место склейки, далее наждачной бумагой полирнуть, будут вечные. В России этим способом склеивают все, что угодно, от обуви до стеклянных фар.
Loved the video. Do you have a link for where I can get the 1” steel bracelet connector? I can’t seem to find one and I really like this style. Thanks.🙂
Thanks. Try Tandy Leather’s website.
Nice work love it we’re did you get those attachments
The clasp came from a Tandy Leather store.
Beautiful may i ask where you get the bracelet lock and what he is called
Thank you. I bought the closure from a Tandy Leather store. Not sure the name.
Beautiful. Great idea to glue the pieces on top of a pipe. What is the name of the braid technique?
Looked like Mexican edge braiding. Very nice looking, but really time consuming.
Thank you. I believe it is called a Mexican Round Braid.
Hi, wicht glue do you use for the leather? Can i choose te carpenter glue?
I use a water based contact adhesive called EcoWeld. Any contact adhesive or contact cement would work.
Can you please share where you found the steel bracelet connector? Thank you!
I purchased it at a Tandy Leather store.
Do you have a website where you sell you're goods? Not too early to start thinking about Christmas.
No,sorry I am currently not selling.
FROM SPAIN. VERY NICE JOB. ONE QUESTION I HAVE SEARCHED AMAZON EUROPE, ALIEXPRESS CHINA, AND TANDY LEATHER EUROPE FOR THE LARG DIAMOND STAMBP #S722 AND #S723 AND I HAVE NOT SEEN THEM. WHERE CAN THEY BE BOUGHT? I APPRECIATE INFORMATION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Thank you. I believe I picked up the large stamp from Hobby Lobby and the small stamp from proleathetcarvers.com
Nice work where did you source the hardware ?
Thank you. I bought it at Tandy Leather.
@@KingdomGloryLeather many thanks indeed
I was curious as to where you acquired the one inch steel bracelet connector? I watched this video several times and have come away with some ideas of my own. But I can't seem to find the connectors in the size you use. Tandy's has one at about 1/3 of an inch. Lot's of google searches have been unsuccessful. Where do you get yours, if you don't mind sharing. Thanks.
I did get it from a physical Tandy store. it is 1” wide I believe.
I assume this is minimum 2h of work, so the price for sale is like 50 dollars ?
What kind of braid is that called? I only know the single loop lace braid
I think it is called a Mexican Round Braid.
Where can I buy the clasps you use
Buckleguy.com
How comes you having dark stamping results???
When I do stamping is not that clear and bright like yours..
I’m beginner
If you apply some antique finish after tooling then wipe it off it will leave some finish in the deep tooling lines which darkens your pattern outlines.
@@KingdomGloryLeather thank you for your comment!
I do I apply fiebings antique finish, but when I wipe it off doesn’t stay is my stamping areas .
Can you please tell me what is the size for mens bracelet lenght I mean?
Usually the snap to snap length (if using snaps) of a bracelet is the wrist measured size plus one inch.
@@KingdomGloryLeather thank you very much
Your bracelet is beautiful very inspirative work for me
Hi, do you have a store on line for this one? Thanks
Sorry I don’t. I appreciate your interest.
