Sonic Advance (Sonic) World Record -

Speedrun of Sonic Advance as Sonic in 15:09 real-time minus time bonus (taking real-time and subtracting one frame per 100 points in time bonus) - timing starts upon neo green hill 1's level card displaying, and ends upon the in-game timer freezing upon defeating X Zone. This speedrun was ran on a gamecube with a GBA Player, using the Gameboy Interface software (You can see my input display at the top!). Ran on easy difficulty because it saves time on bosses.
The total time bonus (excluding X Zone's, since the run has ended by then) adds up to 440000. Real Time is 16:22.999
Full disclosure - this run was gotten during an offline best ending attempt, which resets the data before the run starts, and soft resets after X Zone's time bonus, which means no sonic ending cutscene nor credits. It felt wrong for a video upload to not have the sonic ending and credits play out after a video of the run, so I appended a copy of those to the end of this run.
Fantastic run. Neo Green Hill, Secret Base, Angel Island, and X Zone were all fantastic. Only notable timelosses:
- Really poor luck on the Casino Paradise Boss - though the stage itself went very well!
- Egg Rocket skip was first try, but the actual stage execution was generally sloppy
