Of course there's more to come, let's not be naive. They want money from anything we do. Next step is taking money we make on carboot sales...In France, they're already limiting the number of braderies people can do.
thinking about this is kind of annoying .. when you buy something you get taxed VAT and when you sell that same thing its taxed again so if you think about it upon the first sale to you the seller gets taxed for selling it and the buyer is also taxed then when its sold again its taxed again.. I mean at what point are people thinking that is acceptable? ..
I'm also putting things for sale, wooly hats, very warm pants from Japan, winter stuff and health/fasting/yoga/fasting books, healthy cookings books etc, for people who want a healthy start to the year. Indeed, I'm not selling summer stuff now.
As others have said on this subject; if you buy something with your ( taxed ) money and then sell it ( secondhand and used ) making a loss, can you claim a tax refund ? Seems equitable.🤔🙄
Your getting there i hope it all sells quickly I don't understand people getting upset about declaring what you make as you say its upto 1000 pound on top of benefits or jobs it is intrusive and I do worry its all becoming at bit big brother but if your doing the right thing then you don't have anything to worry about .
@@user-cv1en2qt7x Second hand shops pay tax, why shouldn't private sellers. If they are selling, they are businesses so they should be taxed, just like businesses.

Everything electronic can be checked on. For instance, supermarkets can monitor what you buy just from the receipt and when you use an in-store loyalty card. That's why people prefer using cash.
My first thoughts were good luck on your sale and then I thought what they are saying doesn't make sense . Bigger sales I.E such as somebodies car usually over £1000 in one sale ??? do you get my drift . The principle of you selling your own property whether it was a gift or upcycled or whatever . You can buy a stool for example . If you are a good upholsterer do it up and sell it looking awesome. Is this the end of upcycling . Doesn't make sense . It seems like another layer of administration that they really dont have the manpower to deal with it . Or is it just me extrapolating ?
I think it's quite difficult to interpret. If you are upcycling furniture and reselling it, isn't that making an income from being an upcycler? I think it's 30 items or over £1700. But if you're selling loads of items, that's a lot and to be honest it does look suspicious. If you can honesty prove you are only upcycling or selling on your personal possessions then I guess that's okay but good luck arguing with HMRC over it!
How do you find drying clothes in a cold flat? I use to take my wet clothes to a laundrette and use the dryers or hang then on hot radiators. I find clothes that take ages to dry smell very stale and can end up absolutely reeking. So much easier in the summer ! Great video, I love Vinted for buying as well as selling, I often keep any money I make in my Vinted account so I can easily buy stuff.
I have a long hallway which I use to hang everything around the walls. And my bathroom which has a long shower curtain rail. I never let clothes dry in the main part of the flat or on radiators. I don't want all that damp swirling around getting into my walls and my lungs.
@@NettiieBIt’s how I dry most of my laundry. I bought my dehumidifier from Aldi quite a few years ago and it came with 3 years warranty. It has a clothes drying option on it. I hang them in my bathroom (my smallest room) and close the door, they dry surprisingly quickly.
A normal paper printer is fine. For many of the labels you can jus take the bar code to the drop off on your smart phone and they'll scan that if you want to save the paper and ink.
Yep , the Big fish will always be the ones to get away with pushing their funds around with no detection unfortunately 😑, And also , where did you purchase that clothes rail ? I'm looking for something temporary but sturdy like that😅

Big brother is watching, unfortunately the big fish will get away, only the small fry caught trying to survive.
The moment cash is a thing of the past all transactions will have a record and so therefore can be taxed on.

If they're taxing some of the stuff which was gifted to C, they're literally having (part of) the shirt off her back 🤨

Lol. No. I have no pronouns and you'd be hard to misgender me. I'm too old for all that. I am what I am.
Can you do a video on your experience with ETSY and how you got started? Thanks!

Wouldn't people just start using cash or open another bank account, unless they already have another account

Get a dehumidifier. That will dry the clothes much quicker and stop the damp smells.

Boot sale? Cental Bank Currency in the future if they get your details you will never be free!
I am not standing around at a car boot in 6 degrees. No chance. This is far less time consuming and far more rewarding.
You dont need to declare if what you sell doesn't exceed £1000 in a year

State Pension is not a Benefit.
No. But for dipping into your bank account purposes, apparently it is.
