    I love the way teach Russian. I haven't watched your English video though, because it's my native language. You treat: like it's every day conversation. Which is needed if a adult beginner in learning Russian. Helps me at least feel like its not a test, but just another day listening to someone speak Russian. Plus you add some jokes here and there to lighten the mood of teaching :) thanks Antonia

    Quick question. How come there be a nominative case if there is no change to any endings? If every word is in nominative by default, why even bother to categorize it? Doesn't every language have this case then?

      @LiveRussian Před 6 lety

      Yeah, these words are predicates of sentences and if a subject and a predicate are both nouns they are always in the nominative case!
      For example: Маша - моя подруга (Маша is the subject and подруга is the predicate)

    Thank you for the video, i just have a little advice, for me it would be helpfull if you'd underline the words who are in the case you are talking about in the next videos, and i didn't really get the sentence structure of "у меня есть машина", i would just have used "я" instead of "у меня" , but probably you are going to explain it in your genitive video i assume

      Daniel Lee ЭТО means 'this is' and 'ЭТА' means 'this' for a feminine word. Look at the difference:

      The word "эта" exists in masculine form "этот" and neuter "это" (which is written the same way as "это/this is" but has a different meaning"

      franky1991 Actually, her method is very good. Why? A student can simply watch 2 minutes of the video, copy down the info, and study it. Then finish the rest of the video later. It's definitely not too much.
