I was in the audience for this and they cut off where Amber said "Ok from now on you can only ask me a question if you're dressed like me." And then the person sitting next to the original questioner stood up because she was ALSO wearing a Ruffin-esque suit. Amber lost her mind!

Fun! Where do they record the show? Amber is amazing the way she is finding her way in this creaky old format of late-night show, bringing in different elements and making it her own. Would be great to see live 😊

I was there too. The Amber Ruffin twins were followed by someone wearing a shirt with Tarik on it. It was a fun taping.
Finding out Tarik used to be a teacher doesn't surprise me at all. Whenever I watch this show, I feel like it's the greatest "kids" show ever! We have fun and learn a lot along the way. Much love to Amber and Tarik!

In some ways I actually feel a little jealous, having the live audience. Without the audience it was just me and Amber and Tarik and it was like we were hanging out! Whereas now it's actual tv. But also I'm so glad there are those sweet audience energies to feed off of :))))
I know how you feel! I liked having Amber and Tarik all to myself but I too am glad that they have an audience to play with!
I agree! If Seth feels the need for a live audience, he should visit Amber's show (which I would actually love to see) and keep his show just the way it is!

Language learning! Yay! How many languages can you speak (at all) and how many would you say you are reasonably fluent in?
Amber could easily be THE best history professor. The way she spits the truth of America. Somebody needs to give her an honorary doctorate (along with her team).
Michael Harriot writes many of those great educational segments in How Did We Get Here? But Amber is brilliant at delivering them to us with her wit and humor.
Gym was my favorite subject. I would fall asleep in all my other classes but in gym I was super energetic because I liked playing sports with my friends. It was some of the most fun I had during high school.

I'm great at math, don't need/have a GPS, but l cannot learn a language. I've tried many times over my 65 years and only remember the words of French l was taught in 1st or 2nd grade. A great testament to funding our schools better. ☮

The fact that they are friends makes it work for me, and I'm quite certain having Tarik was Amber's call. I like when the two of them veer off script and riff off each other. Especially when they get to giggling. She doesn't need him, true... but I think she wants him there. It works.
