I would also love if you did a “how to” series where you showed us how to buy your right shade concealer, foundation, etc. and how to put them on for us newbies!
Yeah! Picking a foundation shade is a nightmare for me. Do I match my jawline? My neck? My décolleté? And I have dark spots which makes it even harder! Do I need to go in sunlight? Should I let it sit for 5 minutes? I never come home with a match no matter how I swatch and who’s helping me (and walking me outside to check shades.) 😢
Yes! From various tutorials around CZcams I’ve determined I’m cool toned, but most drugstore makeup doesn’t say specifically cool/warm/neutral (I did luck out with a concealer though) and most of it looks warm or neutral to me. Or too dark. I’m fair, probably as fair as Allie, and sometimes the lightest shade would be too dark.
@@rangerlove7 What concealer are you using? Im super fair too and my under eyes are very very dry so I'm finding that my Nars concealer is creasing so badly on me.

Looove the Bourjois foundation, Ive bought many bottles of it. Never looks cakey, light weight, so easy to blend and my skin always looks glowy and healthy 💕
Isn’t the bourjois brand discounted? It is here in Ireland anyway.
Some of my favorite drugstore discoveries for 2022 are the Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter, the Essence Glow Serum Primer, the L'oreal Infallible Bronzer, and the Colourpop x Harry Potter Eyeshadow Palette. And an oldie that has been an absolute gem for me is the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso.
The Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator was such a surprise! I only bought it because it was marked down to $2.69 from $5 & I just thought, why not? As a person who doesn't care for foundation in my day to day life, this is perfect. I originally bought shade porcelain & liked it so much I went back & bought all of the shades Walgreens had. I found that the shade Deep is great on my cheeks for definition. I've gotten so many compliments on my skin & I honestly can't remember the last time anyone said anything about my skin.
I was super surprised about it too! It has a beautiful finish. I bought L'Oreal serum on the same day as the tinted hydrator, and I like them both more than my Nars light reflecting foundation. Though they're all pretty similar

CoverGirl Triple Action Concealer, is something I discovered this year but has quickly become my go-to for everyday makeup. Same with the Revolution Super Dewy Tinted Moisturizer

So I have always loved Maybelline age rewind concealer but this year I can’t stop reaching for it above all other concealers I have, affordable or high end. It gives me the perfect amount of coverage to cover my dark circles but is so light and effortless to blend in. I’m 45 and am having to be more careful about how much product goes under my eyes and this concealer is GOLD start status!!!!

Allie my favorite thing I bought this year was a Physician's Formula Breakfast Club pallette. I'm 55 so BC is one of my top movies but when I got it home I fell in love. I can flip open one pallette and have two bronzer options, two blush options, and two highlighters. So convenient. It was a limited edition but if you can find one I highly recommend.

My favourite drugstore blush is the Gel Crush Lip and Cheek by Flower Beauty! I bought one and enjoyed it so much that I bought 2 more colours 😅 I don’t particularly like it on the lips, but for the cheeks they give a sheer wash of colour with a dewy finish! I wanted a glossy look in place of highlighter (fine lines), and this performs so well.

I think this is the most favorite thing I have discovered in the last five years. It is the elf halo glow liquid filter. It looks stunning under foundation, and it actually blurs & adds coverage! It is amazing!

The Milani blushes in Dolce Pink and Berry Amore are old favorites but I recently tried the shade Petal Primavera. I absolutely love it and can’t quit using it.

I totally agree with the nyx concealer and the true match serum foundation. It's not cakey and stay fresh all day long. The serum foundation is the best masked proofed foundation. You can wear these thick FFP mask, speak an hour and the makeup is fresh afterwards and not destroyed.

The Profusion liquid blush was my go to this year 😍 I have used it for ANY occasion 🤭 if I wanted a no makeup look or if I was going for a complete full makeup look it was these blush. I now own 4 out of the 6 colors 😍😉
