She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling.
It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say one of the best yodeling performances on any talent show but in this performance it was the controversial aftermath that prompted the audience to give her a 5 minute Standing Ovation and caused a scandal and shouts of Diana being “ robbed”.

Also when she won her “you are super” contest she performed a song written by Lara Fabian titled “ Tomorrow Is A Lie” accompanied on the piano by the famous composer Igor.
She sings it in English and the meaning of this song is so spiritual “ only here and now... Tomorrow is a Lie ( all that exists is the next moment).

👉 Rechenka/ River - This is an old Russian ritual song: An orphan girl should to get married and goes to the river, the border between the living and the dead, and asks her mother for the blessing (mother's whisper) ... The horses are in the courtyard. The guests are gathered and the wedding celebration begins. In Russia, it was customary to sing sad songs at weddings to scare off evil. This should drive away evil spirits and bring good luck. Such songs were called 'crying'.
Diana's rendition of this song is spectacular, mysterious... great!... everytime. Lately she sang this song acapella, also to prove that she sings live without a synthesizer or anything like that (on the song ist).
In 2018 Diana sang this song in the singing competition 'You are super' (she was 14 years old). She won and received international attention. Since then, millions of people have followed her on CZcams and her worldwide fan base is growing rapidly.
The musical project “You are super! can give to children who do not have a prosperous childhood, not only positive emotions, but also hope for changes in their fates. Eighty children from various countries can now take part, understanding that they have outstanding talents. Only the best of the best will be able to complete all the selections.

I will explain to you the meaning of this old Russian song that was sung during the wedding. Since a much shortened version was made for the scene, not even all Russian people understand its meaning. An orphan girl from a foster family is married off (most likely to a man older than her). She comes to the river (reka), affectionately calling it rechenka. The river in the folklore of many peoples is the border between the world of the living and the dead. She turns to her deceased parents: she asks for advice and blessings. An orphan girl is faced with a choice - to drown herself, committing the sin of suicide, or still accept the circumstances and "go with the flow". What will she choose? This is decided by the audience together with the performer of this song.

This is an old wedding ritual song, it's like a puzzle, it consists of phrases taken from ritual songs. Where it is sung in a whisper is like the words of a deceased mother, because in Russia since ancient times it was believed that the river is the border between the world of the living and the dead, as in the mythology of others countries. So the girl-orphan came to the river to tell the mother that she was being given away for the unloved, to a strange family, ask for blessings and cry.

In the last minute of the song, I saw you sitting there, totally transfixed, hypnotised, mesmerised...... just couldn't pull your gaze from the performance..
Yeah, that's roughly what happened to the judges too. It was only during the break after the yodelling part did they realise that they were supposed to be judges. It's like the end of the yodelling gave them a break to realise that they were supposed to whack that bell of theirs. That's why one of the judges looked at the rest and gave that look of "what are we doing people???".... lol. 😂
