    As an island gal who was raised on coconut oil, none of us have ever had a problem. I understand your science backing, but again many of us islanders have had no problems with using it on our hair and skin. Especially dreads and natural hair. But I respect your point of view 🌹

    Doesn't do anything for my hair, but during this hot summer months, it all I use on my skin for a moisturizer, because it is light and does not stain my clothes.

    I have to agree and disagree at the same time. Coconut oil is amazing for me and my kids hair and skin, I also use it after shaving, oil pulling, makeup removal and much more. But its definitely not great for acne prone skin like the face, and every skin type is different because even though some oils are high on the scale for pore clogging it actually doesn't affect some people. Babassu oil is an excellent alternative infact i think it's better than coconut oil BUT it's so expensive, palm kernel oil is also similar (not to be mistaken for palm oil)

    Thank you so much for this this info, I had NO idea! I've been putting the "leftovers" in my coconut oil jars on my skin. I thought I was helping my skin, LOL, guess not as much as I thought 😅!

    Babassu oil is also the same price as coconut oil and have the same cleansing properties as coconut oil in cold processed soap so that’s why I use it as well I’m a licensed esthetician coconut oil isn’t good for African American skin or hair I have used coconut oil in the past but for oil pulling like u said and in soap since coconut oil washes off and people usually properly moisturize it doesn’t really bother people skin I also love all the oils u mentioned such as jojoba and grape seed oil which have similar properties jojoba just a little more expensive I also love sweet almond oil and emu oil for my hair

      May this message richly bless you and yours as it has bless me.
      Many profess believers of Jesus Christ believe that the fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath holy was nailed to the cross and that we no longer have to keep it, while still embracing the other nine commands. Do you believe this?
      Ask yourself this question: which one or ones of the following Ten Commandments do Jesus wants us to keep and obey?
      1. Thou shalt not have no other gods before me.
      2. Thou shalt not make or bow down to gpl raven image.
      3. Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain.
      4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
      5. Honor thy father and thy mother.
      6. Thou shalt not kill.
      7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
      8. Thou shalt not steal.
      9. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
      10. Thou shalt not covet.
      Answer_________________
      The Sabbath command is not only to be kept but it is to be calculated by the Time/calendar God ordained in the beginning of creation, Genesis 1:14. The sun, moon and stars are God’s True Time/calendar not that famous Gregorian calendar hanging on our walls in our houses. The Sabbath is calculated by the sun, moon and stars.
      This split in God’s law must be repaired!! All of God’s laws, statutes, judgments and testimonies are just and true! We must do things God’s way or else we will be worshipping him in vain. There will be no good reward.
      God may allow the people that rules this world to enforce some type of Sabbath law to test people to see if they will keep His law or no.
      Already, there are Sabbath laws/blue laws/Sunday laws on government books today.
      Friday is not the true Sabbath. Saturday is not the true Sabbath. Sunday is not the true Sabbath, etc., because they are calculated by man’s time/calendars.
      This information is helpful both now and future, to get back to God’s ways and be able to choose wisely if such a “Sabbath Test” is enforced.
      Let us read our Bibles, seriously repent of our evil ways, stop worshiping other gods, talking about one another, stealing, killing, lying, fornicating, adultery, disobedient to parents, etc., etc., etc.
      Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. This Babylonian system is falling, the Powers in charge are aware of this fact but they cannot stop it. Their time is coming to an end! Our time is coming to an end!
      If any worship the beast and his image and receive his mark, the same shall have no rest day or night and they shall be burnt with fire and brimstone. Revelation 13 and 14. Deuteronomy 5 Isaiah 58:12-14.
      Also, research the “Seven Noahide Laws.” I have heard that these are Jewish laws taken from their book, “Talmud.” The first law forbids idolatry and according to Jewish writings, to believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is idolatry and is punishable by death, decapitation. I have also heard that some of the USA presidents have signed this law under “Proclamation 5956-. Education Day, U.S.A, 1989 and 1990” and, word is that, it is planned to be unleashed on all nations in the future. So, Research and see if these things be truth.
      May The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

  • @jonettienne9193
    @jonettienne9193 Před 11 měsíci +3

    I highly disagree coconut oil is great for hair and skin (and soap) The thing is most people don't know how to use it and because regular coconut oil is solid at room temperature it can leave the hair feeling stiff or flakey
    I wouldn't use it on my face but I would mix it with a thiner oil for my hair and use water
    When washing the hair use a clarifying shampoo or acv rinse
    There's also liquid coconut oil that may work better because it won't turn solid at room temperature

    • @ShakirraStarling
      @ShakirraStarling  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Great point of view but the facts are the facts. Coconut oil is a level 6 on the comedogenic scale and the absorption rate is a level 4. Even if it’s mixed, solid or liquid. Again, many people use it but I would advise not too. There are sooo many other amazing oils to use on the hair and the skin. Babassu oil is a GREAT alternative to coconut oil 😊🙌🏾

      @@ShakirraStarling babasu is really expensive and hard to get compared to coconut oil... I understand your point also but I would not rule it out for "half the prices" although most oils you mentioned are more in stores now a days they are still more expensive than the ones that been around longer.. I use to think coconut oil was really bad for my hair too but once I understood how to use it it was a game changer n I use fractionated oil too
