A real intriguing beautiful drama. A well written script filled with all a good drama needs, love hate, jealousy, kindness, courage, fear....skilled craftsmen did a great job on the props and even the costumes , armours All actors young and mature held the series strong and together. Honestly i enjoyed it more that The long Ballad. Well done to all.
Just finished this fabulously awesome historical and romance drama! It has everything a heart desires in a good series. It also has tremendous moral stories of cause and effect, loyalty, betrayal and family honor. Li Yitong, you were awesome in this series, you really shined through and carried the drama through your wit, wisdom, and beauty . Xu Kai, you were always keeping us in the edge of our seats, a perfect leading man, and so handsome. The supporting cast were awesome and made the whole series shine. I will put this into my 'most favorites' basket to watch again. Like Grace says "I have no regrets at all...just WOW!!!😊 Everything about this was beyond amazing. Will never be the same. Yes this drama is amazing. I enjoyed watching it, but the only downside to it is, that episode 46 ending doesn't match with episode 47 because of censorship they have cut out a crucial scenes from it.

Every time I see Chu Mu and Rou together on the screen is like a treat. I really wished they had more scenes as a couple. Xu Kai's acting is top notch! Arsenal Military Academy is one of the best. I will surely wait and watch his upcoming dramas.

Enjoyed this series very much but would have liked more dialogue between Fu Rou and Shu Mu. Would have liked to have known why he suddenly decided to talk to her after blaming her for Princess Consort death and also would have liked to have heard at least some of the “cave reunion” where they made up completely. They did have the absolute best kiss ever in one episode.

This series was sooo great. I love how it was full of love, hate, revenge and redemption. The ending I think was particularly good. Fu rou and chu ling got married and yan zi feng and ying ying are finally together even though it’s against her will which shows just how much yan zi feng regretted his decisions at first.
It's such a good drama. The production team did a great job with such great cast.

What a drama. Complete package. The ep. 54 and early of 55 were such a breathtaking climax. With the soundtrack that is too painful to hear along with the cries of Chu Mu. Too hard to bear. Yet the ending of them are so satisfying especially Yan Zi Fang and Lu Ying Ying. Oh, I hope there's another more drama like this. Kudos to admin. Thanks a lot for the English subs. More power to you and all the viewers who admires this fantastic story. Will watch it again!!!!

I started watching long ballad b4 I got to see this drama..along the line I couldn’t stomach the long ballad as I got bored along the way but for The Court Lady I was constantly waiting for new episodes everyday😁...Best Drama I’ve seen after I watched Love and Redemption ❤️❤️..

"Ruis love in the Palace " or "Yanxi Palace" with xiu Kai is also good, but it affected my mind and after watching it I had to have a mentall break from watching again all the Chinese dramas.

you rarely see dramas about the Tang Dynasty. The costumes for this was amazing. and it was so engrossing, i was waiting on edge every week for new episodes!!! happy ending and so cute couples. loved it, really loved it!
you should see Empress of China. It's the same timeline as this drama and tells the story of China's first female emperor (though the history part is twisted for dramatic effect). Costumes are absolutely stunning also.

Very well executed by the makers. All the casts were just awesome. I like the soldiers costume don't know y it just stood out in my eyes more than the palace's costume may be it's in blue (my fav color)☺️ Though there was not much romance in the drama it's intriguing to watch. Ending was satisfactory 5 more mins of the lead pairs would have been more satisfied☺️ coz we couldn't get to see them together much in the middle. I watched this drama bcoz of the title and it didn't let me down. I wish if i too have an intellect as Fu rou. Kudos to the Court Lady team 👍
This was the best ending i ever seen so far in cdrama of xu cai. He finally be with the woman he fight for all of his sacrifices has been paid off. This cdrama of him not only focus on them it gives way to the people that surround them. How revenge and greedy eats your mind and soul to harm your own brother, sister and your own country. The scene has a sense of humor, optimistic, mischievous, smart, clever, kindness, anger, revenge towards the past but stil in the end they repent and admit the consequences and be a better person because of love. This is my no.1 cdrama for xu cai because i saw his best acting charisma nevertheless he was not ended alone. I was very thankful that even there are too many leadingman aside from him li yitong will always be by his side never been a consort, lady or concubine. She still choose him and unto her. I think its whole production did well because its not boring its unpredictable every episode is worth to watch. The script is good as well its whole cast. I think all of them did their very best. Its a wrap but it will always be good to reminisce how i chumu act like a child and be a man. Li yitong and xu cai are great. They have chemistry. Hope to see you both in another cdrama.

4 days 3 night , it maked me addicted to watch it , I really enjoyed it and never ever felt bored, its really a amazing drama , everything is perfect and Sheng chu Mo's character is really great. I skipped the part when everything was getting too sad and diappoting. Not everyone has a good ending. It gives me a deep impression on my heart and mind .................. In conclusion I realyyyyyy love this story and it's all characters however I know they are all fake but can't stop myself from watching these drama's

For me, The Story of Minglan is still number 1. I did also like very much The Rebel Princess. The character of the male lead in Rebel Princess is just so fine even his voice. And I loved his gray/silver robes for court.

I'd watched The Rebel Princess (eventually got bored in some episodes that i skipped to watch the last.., Princess Agent,this is not boring, the Long Ballad, was good at the start to the middle but i lost interest pursuing it after episode 31, the story of Minglan, yes that was equally good that i'd finished it...like The Court lady, you dont get bored bec the story line is unpredictable and there are variations on it. But i'll never forget Nirvana in Fire 1 and 2. It is not appealing at first till it gets past episode 5...a beautiful true historical drama you cant afford not to appreciate it. There's a light one called Time Flies and You are here, a costume drama, with a simple plot but you cant help waiting for the next episodes too..

Finally finished it....another great drama of Xu Kai..I never get disappointed for watching his dramas...
I really, really like this drama a lot. The story was more about life its up and downs than just a love story. The cause and effect, the good and evil, and karma. We didn't just see the story of the main leads but the story of the people around them too. I am so happy for the two Sheng brothers to have married the woman they love. It just pains me that Chu Jun never got his happy ending but maybe he and 2nd Lady Sun will meet in another life and be together. Also Princess Consort Han's death still pains me, her and 4th Prince mutual love and trust was one of my favorites of this drama. It must be painful for Sheng Mother that out of 4 of her children, only 2 is now left. Life is really unpredictable.
P.S. I love how Yan Zi Fang stole the treasure map ahhahaaha

I watched so many chineses serials with sad and happy endings but never be so happy after watching this wonderful serial's ending .. both veteran and young actors have done exceptionally well .. thanks to feng nou 'for brilliant script & bai yun mo' and wang xio ming' for superb direction..after xu kai ' i love hong yao' the most .💕💕also 2 cute sheng brothers !💕 We can learn so much from this serial specialy.. about how to shape up our lives & how to be kind and fair towards all living beings around us.

Good series. Fantastic job on the English subtitles! I wouldn’t have been able to watch this without the subbers. I appreciated the nod to the Dugu family towards the end, which was satisfying since we know Dugu Empress comes some time later. I liked how the dead loved ones were not completely forgotten. I wondered a bit about Fu Rou’s family after all the kids (excluding the oldest sister) went missing and how they reacted to that or Fu Yin’s surprise lovechild. Great cast all around and this is one of the only shows where I cared more about the supporting character romances than the main one. Not enough credit was given to Chu Mu’s uncle and his training methods, in my opinion. We also didn’t see the cheating Prince Consort receive justice for his adultery so slightly disappointed there. Decent music choice. Great special effects and fight-scene choreography. Costume, hair, and makeup were all A-list. Director, writers, and cinematographer were amazing. Scenery and lighting were also superb. Job well done!

Nice drama to watch depicting ancient culture of China
I think the one who has the most miserable fate in this drama is Du Ning. He is kind of matchmaker for our lead couple then fall in love with wrong person only to be official that died in duty. He is kind, gentle, loyal but his fate seriously unfair to him.
True, even the woman he loved became another's concubine. It was sadder cause they just about to get engaged when the girl disappeared on him.
i just finish watching this court lady drama so many twist in the story but really good and enjoyable to watch..xu kai is so handsome.... ❤

Duke Lu is the funniest character in the entire show.
Sighh.. what a sweet baby Prince Shi is❤ He's so smart and honourable. I'm glad Rou had the chance to pass on her knowledge and integrity to him. He'll be much greater for it. Kai Qing was not fit at all to be crown prince. His love for the common people, entertainers was good but he was naive. He has a poor spirit of discernment and poor decision making skills. He would have brought the dynasty down. I wasn't the biggest fan of the late queen while she was alive but I grew to appreciate her after her death. What a woman!
It is such a great drama with great actors and actresses! It's funny how Sheng Chu Mu towards Fu Rou is. Also the princess Xia Nan is quite funny with Chu Ling. 😂 Worth to rewatch it, again! 👍
