I took a long break from RC hobby a couple of years back, and it's sad to see you have stopped the hobby too. Well, hope you enjoy life and whatever you do nowadays! And if you reboot the hobby, know that there are thousands of people who will cheer to see you again!
@@Wrublos212 As far back as I can think, David is one of the very first RC gurus I ever watched. Way back when he was using his gopro's A/V for FPV....lol

I can say nothing yaws like a tricopter. Most people who ask wtf is that gets turned off about the servos needed for the build. And that was the one that prevented me from making my tricopter my main quad. Lol🥴 concord back window 😂 music backdrop was genius. Anyways I plan to rebuild my tricopter any thing to you can imagine that I can do to protect the servo? Or maybe build a Y4 tricopter. In my book you are undisputed expert in tricopter configs; Joshua B has gotten to big for him to waste his time to help a lonely tricopter pilot. “Whooshing sound instead of that aaaahherr” lol
David's build videos were always more fun to watch than anybody else's. I've watched all of them, but never actually built a tricopter. Very disappointed to find now that I'm returning to the sport after a year or two hiatus that FliteTest has discontinued all multirotor support and now David is going out of business also. I still want to finish my 5 rotor copter (four rotors on one main cross beam, with a tricopter style tail rotor).
I know the pid is the simplest control paradigm for this purpose but if u want to possess an increase in stabilisation and faster trajectory and step responses and a reduced steady state error and overshoot resulting in an immense increase in system performance, construct a better controller such as the H infinity, LQi, Fuzzy, sliding mode controller demonstrating better robust properties against external disturbances such as wind, torque and vibration.
Thank you so much for the tip with mounting the center to the top plate of the frame, without attachment to the bottom. I also tried to come up with a compact folding frame, but it didn’t even occur to me how to make folding beams that do not touch the fastening nuts of the FC. You have found a brilliant simple solution !!)) Thank you very much)))

@@KnowledgePerformance7 This is just my opinion, but with a 3in or 4in tricopter, you lose most of the LR capability, it won't fly for much longer than a quad. Smaller builds that use the 65mm props on the other hand can fly for a relatively long time. The only problem would be the electronics and an adequately sized servo.
