This sounds like something I may do already? Idk how to explain it but perhaps it is possible to do this practice audibly as well? Perhaps I should try writing it down too. I talk to Aphrodite ALL the time about the good things, the bad things, the scary things, everything, she listens and helps me threw the hard dark times I face within myself. In fact just last night before bed I was talking about a stressful issue going on at my job, and in led to me just breaking down in tears, but not because of the issue, but because I was overcome with emotion of just how much I appreciate Goddess Aphrodite being there for me, and listening.
Yes! Sounds like! There are many ways to interact with the Shadow. Every morning I light Apollo's candle, and ask Him to help me in my Shadow Work. Then I sit and journal, and often this results in really intense feelings welling up, which I sit with, then I take to His Altar, and talk to Him about them. He's like a comforting friend, with His hand on my shoulder, helping me sort through my issues. Aphrodite has helped me a great deal with the Shadow Work as well! I'm glad that you have Her there for you. I know exactly what you mean about crying in thankfulness and joy! I feel you, and feel so fortunate to have Them in my life! @@darkwintermoonIronically enough, last night I was talking to Aphrodite about some of my inner demons.. related to family, and life in general .. and I told Aphrodite that, she is the only one that I feel truly understands me and sees me for who I authentically am. Thus I think one wisdom of the gods could be this "the gods see you as you see yourself". That's just beautiful. So I guess that's my vocal shadow work? I felt much better after talking to her last night.. basically. happy that she sees me how I see myself. Long story short my parents were Christian and tried to make me live against my own desires, and that's just wrong to do to a person. There's more to the story, but I don't feel comfortable sharing it all in public chat.

They DO see us as we are, and also they see what we could be, our hightest potential, and They try to help us reach that, and to see ourselves as we really are! Sounds like Shadow Work to me! I also have Christian parents and they tried to make me live against my own desires as well, so I totally understand. It's totally alright about being concerned about sharing publicly.
