All these tracks are very simple in melody, yet the build up throughout is mesmerizing, giving us an overwhelming sense of epicness and sadness all at the same time.

A time of quiet between the storms: It is a romantic track and is reconciliatory. It is jubilant. Paul and Chani are coming closer, helping each other in battle and complementing each other's actions. It is joyful and victorious.
Kiss the Ring: It is also a jubilant track but is haunting. They have defeated the Emperor but aren't stopping there, they are marching to a Holy War, which has no positive outcome. Chani is mentally miles apart from Paul. The horns in the first section make the track haunting and the tubular bells from the mid portion make it jubilant but it is also like the knock on the door, the alarm of the dangerous outcome of the Galactic Holy War.
So, that's why I like 'Kiss the Ring' track the most.
Absolutely gorgeous, brought me right back to that heartbreaking final scene between Paul and Chani!

When you realize this song has nothing to do with the emperor submitting to paul but everything to do with Chani's shattered heart this song hits 10x better
i dont know man i dont think its that either. i think it just simbolizes the whole tension of the story resolving closure with duke leto, the emperor, the atreides etc
@ingenieroriquelmecagardomo4067 actually Zimmer said in an interview that this theme is the love theme, hence it’s Chani’s theme. And it’s ment to be beautiful at first and heartbreaking at the end. So it is about Chani’s shattered heart
@@LaurieTheberge I think it's both Chani and Paul. The look on Paul's face at the end show's his pain in accepting his fate at the expense of his love with Chani, and knowing what it will do to her. At least that was the feeling I was left with. Love your work btw Laurie, it's beautiful

Hans Zimmer saved my life years ago, since I first heard Time by Inception, now that I live in moments of confusion, disappointment and extremism around his music I still find comfort and a safe place. Thank you very much Mr. Zimmer.
Same here. Spent my teenage years listening to his music, feeling at home. Instrumental music in my opinion is the strongest to convey emotions and you can easily find that one sound that represents exactly how you feel in the moment

Thanks. I am working on more tracks, but Water of life would not translate well to the piano. Not gonna do it. But might tackle harkonnen theme

I'm interested to know why you decided when making this arrangement to fundamentally change the melody by moving the A from the last beat of the measure to the down beat of the next measure?

@@LaurieTheberge the melody of G - F# - A - D, in the movie version, the A is at the end of the measure leading into the D on the downbeat of the next measure. In your arrangement, you've delayed the A - D by one beat so that the A is on the downbeat of the next measure, and therefore part of the harmony of the next chord. I was wondering what your thought process was behind that change.
Well i thought that rhythmically it worked better on the piano. Since the original felt like the rhythm was very flowy and free it felt nicer and stronger to play it like this on the piano while still keeping the feeling of the original piece

It’s intermediate level. It sounds harder than it is cause there’s a lot of notes but it’s always symmetrical so once your get the finger pattern you just repeat and repeat :) give it a try!
It’s good, but to nitpick the repeat of F# in the main melody before the downbeat is inaccurate

It’s great to see you are doing this. And I wish you well. But honestly in my opinion the piano doesn’t capture the theme at all.
I create music and this just feels like what I play randomly when coming up with ideas for a tunes and compositions.
And your playing it just felt off.
Anyways this is just my opinion I am not stating it as a fact. Best of luck 😊👍

Soooo good job it’s great, but also don’t do Dune anymore cause it’s not worth it? Okay! 🙂 but honestly I know that one piano will never be able to capture all of Zimmer’s epic ambiance and mood, but it’s sooo much fun to play you should give it a try!

@viarnay I certainly agree, most of his compositions are talked about way too highly, although I must say, his compositions in dune part two have been my favorite of his so far, easily.
