Cover #55. So I decided to record some of my very favorite tunes for the next couple of weeks, and this is definitely one of them. It's been way up there ever since the first time I heard it, it's just an incredible arrangement full of energy. This is as good as it got with the Tom, Mark and Travis trio, according to me. In addition, Travis Barker's drum parts are just intense and awesome. Love it!
It also fits pretty well to cover Travis after having talked about the Sweet Ride and my story behind starting playing it in the previous episode of Drumday Sunday. Not too surprisingly, it fits pretty well in the mix. Unfortunately as I've mentioned, I forgot to bring the right hand crash+stand, so doing this cover with only one crash was unintentional.

Coming from a drummer who has never had a lesson and basically learned just by listening to a crapload of blink and figuring out what he's doing, this is a very well done accurate cover. Being as I play almost exclusively blink 182, I am aware how challenging some of his tempos and fills are, I'm glad I watched this video. Keep living the dream man!

The intro is more complex than it looks imo, the double bass effect between the bass and floor tom is hard to get into. But it’s very effective bc the intro beat is one of Travis’ best imo. Great cover.
Absolutely agree! And most people when they practice a single-stroke roll between right hand and right foot, they tend to start with the right hand. In this case, he starts with the foot, putting the floor tom on the upbeats. Very cool!
